Name: Waggamuffin

✏Pronunciation; Wag-a-muf-in
✏why?; I was thinking for something that reflected his personality, since I didn't know his personality yet. I thought 'blinky' was a nice name, but realised he didn't blink. Then I thought of 'Waggy' but that didn't fit. So Slowly I made 'Waggamufin'.
✏nickname; He has many nicknames, but the most used ones are 'wags' and 'muffs'.

Species and/or specific breed:

✏Muffs is a vert terrier, a French breed. It is one of the newest types of dog breeds around, and simply is a terrier, with a green coat colour. 'Vert' means 'green' in French.

Personality:

✏Naïve: Wags often believes and often insists things, even if he really doesn't know and has no right to say that he does. He is often reminded of this, but either forgets or ignores this large part of his personality and continues doing what he does. The reason why he is naïve is because he hasn't had a chance to learn things and hasn't got any worldly knowledge, which may seem fine for a dog but he has below average, because of this, he has to rely on every thing that he hears, which is normally bias, adult gossip, or bias magazines. Not that he can read.
✏Playful: Maybe even more so than other pups, another of Muffs' biggest qualities is how playful he is. In the pet shop, he is always the first dog to gallop over to people and show off his skills in defeating squeaky toys. However, although he can easily amuse himself, he likes to socialize and chase all other dogs (and occasionally scared cats) that come near him. When I say 'socialize' I mean chase and tussle with, by the way.
✏Optimistic: He doesn't even be optimistic intentionally, he just imagines things all ways working out the way they are supposed to. Even when something does go wrong, he can always see a way out of it, or see something good about it. This can be slightly annoying, and when he sees a sad face he'll pad over and say 'cheer up' and give a long list of reasons why they should 'cheer up'. It's also very good though, because he is in a slightly depressing situation some times, but he keeps himself from being sad about it or having much self pity.
✏Supportive: he has seen a lot of dogs come and go from the place he lives, and often they are quite nervous about it. Then there is Waggamuffin, who will come to save the day and defeat doubt and worry. One of the few things Waggs is experienced in, is supporting, comforting and reassuring. He hates seeing a sad face, as I am sure you would have known by now, and often has the right advice to make dogs happy again.

History/Background:

✏ Waggamuffin has a rather sad history, his parents were both vert terriers, but both were strays that were sent to pound... it was quite sad, and yet cliché sounding, but before the family were separated his mother told him to always look on the bright side of life. It is unknown whether this sparked of his optimistic attitude but sadly he has almost completely forgotten them, his parents. It is unknown where they are now. When the family were split up, Waggs was sent to "Carmens dog shop", an old-fashioned place that had little glass compartments where puppies ran around excitedly until some lucky person adopted the puppies. Since his family was split up, this is where he has lived and it is the reason why he doesn't know much (so he pretends to know) and has to listen to older dogs and people if he is to know anything about the current world, out side the pet shop. Muffs fitted in pretty well, considering he was the only green dog. Due to the fact no-one ever seemed to want him, the shopkeeper (Lucy Carmen) got used to seeing him in the window and would often play around with him. It became a routine for both of them. He lived in the same glass box and had many dogs come and go around him, and would often get depressed himself when they left, but would never show it to anyone. Recently, he discovered that he should have left by now, and found a good owner, and was sniffing out reasons why he wasn't leaving. He thought that, because he was green people might think he was sick. He also thought that people that had considered taking him had learnt about his unworldly knowledge and left him. He remembered a girl picking him up once and giving him a genuine hug but her mother pulling them apart and saying "no sweetie, that one is too weird." all this knowledge has affected his personality, and the pet shop owner has sadly admitted to herself that Waggs must leave before his optimism completely deteriorates.

✏Dear wags,
I know that you can't read this, and Ms. Lucy Carmen will probably be reading this out to you but I'd like to tell you that you are very loved and if I could, I would take you home and we could be together. I really do love you, you little cheerful rascal, and make sure you stay happy or else every thing might go a bit.... wrong. Even if I don't adopt you, I am certain that some one else will, because who couldn't love you!?
You are such a sweetie pie and very nice, I am sure you don't know what benefit you have on other dogs. I have been watching and I can assure you that you help them so, so much. Don't worry about the fact you are green, I think it makes you special, did you know that vert terriors that is what your species are) are especially rare? This makes you super special. I hear also that people don't like you because of how you don't have much of a knowledge of the 'outside' world. Think of it this way though, Waggs, you are going to have the adventure of a life time when you are out of that pet shop, whoever you go home to, and I am will have loads of things to explore in the world. I could take you every where and show you every thing, but I am sure many others can/will.

✏Waggamuffin: hey cheer up! Why the long face?

✏Waggamuffin: Don't worry, I can guess! Your getting adopted aren't you? Going into that new world out there?
✏adopted dog: *sigh* yeah, you guessed right. Like, what am I gonna do? It's a big ol' world out there..
✏Waggamuffin: meh. Don't worry, everything is fine, you have some on to look after you and I am sure they love you, so don't think your doing this alone! Besides, your not the only one that this has happened to, loads of pups have gone on to good owners and have turned out fine!
✏Adopted dog: yeah, ok, I guess...
✏Waggamiffin: Seriously! Think of all the things you want to do, and think of how many of the things you can do with your adopted owner!

Favorite food:

✏pancakes! Waggs has always had a sweet tooth, but pancakes can not be beat! It is a long, long and uneeded story telling how he got them, but the thing that matters most is that it is his favourite memory, and he loves it! It is one of the only things he will never share, and will really scream for. Not that there are much pancakes in the shop. He has never had them with any toppings, but he loves its soft texture and balance of flavours.
