LakeClan's history is long and convoluted, full of every possible wrong in the book. Corrupt leaders, corrupt medicine cats, corrupt warriors, rogues, plagues, floods, fires, run-ins with twolegs, and four times now, relocation. The last relocation has put them in the safest place they've ever been- traveling through the lives of almost an entire generation, they moved somewhere miles and miles away from any human civilizations. This territory is called The Blue whenever the story of the Great Move is told, named for the crystalline green-blue waters of the small lake they live by.
"This, elders say proudly, looking around, "is the perfect place. There is always water and plenty of prey." The oldest of the clan were part of the Great Move as kits, so the territory is relatively new, though pretty much every cat has been living there their entire lives.
However, StarClan has sensed a problem that the clan cats are oblivious to in their everyday routine of survival. In their constant struggle to keep the clan going, StarClan has devised a prophecy that will allow three cats to save the clan yet again.
Join LakeClan's struggle.
Are you warrior enough?

Rules

This role play is a semi-literate plus role play. This means:
»Your forms must be detailed. They must include the cat's name, gender, appearance, (a picture is fine) personality, history, and your own personal touch. I will not provide a formatted or skeleton form for you to use because I love the individuality of a homemade form. Plus, what you put into the form gives me an idea of whether or not you can handle this role play.
»When you talk out of character, use brackets or some sort of indication that you are not in character. If you don't, it looks messy and just bothers me.
»Please add some form of formatting to your posts. You don't have to go all-out on it; just add a bit of color, change sizes, add headings or subheadings, list it... whatever.
»When you have more than one character, please specify which character you are using at all times.
»Your posts must contain your cats thoughts, reactions, and feelings. No one to three sentence posts; those are for illiterate role plays and will be highly frowned upon.
»I will take reservations, but I will only reserve a spot for twenty-four hours. There are plenty of spots that are unlimited.

Use reasonable warrior names like Heronclaw or Bluepelt. No warrior is named Yarnball or Bumblebee or Deathspirit.

Please make an effort to keep genders even.

Please DO NOT make it so that there are more apprentices than there are warriors! All apprentices need somebody to train them, and that just becomes crazy anyways.

You must at least make an effort to remain active! It's okay if you skip a day here and there, but try to avoid it.[/list]

This isn't a requirement, but have your cat like somebody! Crushes always spice things up, and let's be honest, nobody's just acquaintances in a clan.

I think everything else is pretty much just more common sense, so I'll just give you this one last rules. It's very important.
HAVE FUN!

Prophecy

Prophecy

☰☵☱☴☶☲☳☱☰☵☴☲☰☵☱☴☶☲☳☱☰☵☴☲☰☳☱☰☵☴☲☰☶

There is currently one prophecy within this role play, as you can see below. I won't go into too great of details, as that would basically just write the role play before it has even started, (and what's the fun in that?) but I'll give you the general idea of what I have in mind. I'm doing this for those of you (probably all of you) who read the prophecy and just see a big mass of random words that sound good together. I'll also add to this as the prophecy progresses.

The places for the prophecy cats are closed; we have all our prophecy cats in progress currently.
The prophecy will involve three different cats. One will be played by me- a tom -and the other two will be played by two other members who have already reserved the spots. Two of these cats will be young warriors, as they'll be at their prime age for going long distances. The third will be the medicine cat apprentice, though the apprentice must have gone through all his/her training. The first segment will be received by all three of them through a mutual dream- meaning that they'll all be in the same dream -so that they all carry the message and they know who the other prophecy cats are.

From there, the cats must figure it out.

☲☰☵☱☴☶☲☳☱☰☵☴☲☰☵☱☴☶☲☳☱☰☵☴☲☰☳☱☰☵☴☲☰

      FIRST segment
      SECOND segment

Though light is of a lesser breed
      - it outward ceases to exist -
you'll find it in the broken soul
of the one you find you can't resist.

This time it's you and only you
      to which this message goes
      for your journey is different
than the ones you hold so close.

To end is not the end at all
      so young one never fear,
the path you take will swallow you
      but victory is near.

      Whispers in the darkness
      are all they'll ever hear
A darkness deep and so profound
      They'll lose themselves to fear

      The rising it is coming
      a heightened rolling tide
      a time of blindness following
      so deep and dark inside.

Leave before it is too late
to find what once was lost,
go long and far and don't return
for death would be the cost.

      THIRD segment

The problem has not yet been told
Nor have you really seen it
but it reigns high within your ranks-
      Therefore a sacrifice is needed.

The last leg of your journey
will be to find the glow
how very vague this message is
      but when you find it...
      you'll know.

1. The same member's cats may NOT:
Mentor each other,
have crushes on each other,
or be mates with each other.
2. Cats may only have up to three kits.
Any more than that overcrowds the role play.
3. No complaining if you don't get an apprentice.
The pairings are completely random.
4. Any graphic mating scenes should fade to black.
'Cause that's just gross...
5. Have fun with it!
Relationships create drama and interest. We need them!

Territory

Camp

Northern border
The lake. LakeClan's camp is in the northernmost corner of their territory, nestled right up against the waters of the lake. It is their water source throughout the year and gives them one less side to worry about, but other than that and the beautiful view of the mountains on the other side, the lake doesn't do much for the clan.
The wall
The camp's wall is made of brambles, sticks, and tightly intertwined vines to keep predators out. It curves around the entire camp, ending at the edge of the water on one side and the edge of the cliff on the other. It only breaks in one place, curving outward into a tunnel that is used at the entrance and exit from camp. This tunnel is lined with brambles all year round, but in newleaf, the clan organizes a project where wildflowers are laced into the walls as well.
The cliff
There is a slight rock cliff that makes up another side of camp. It is short enough at its highest point that cats can jump up onto it, and it slopes down to the ground right at the edge of camp. There are two caves in the side of this cliff, however: the bigger one is medicine den and the smaller one is the leader's den. The leader stands on top of the cliff to give announcements.
The dens
The dens in camp are not very unique. They are mostly bramble structures much like the wall, situated at various points around the clearing that is camp. The bramble structure dens are the warriors' den, the apprentice den, and the elders' den. The nursery is an old, big abandoned rabbit hole, which keeps the warmth in during leafbare and the cold in during greenleaf. The leader's den and medicine den are mentioned above. The nests are all made out of a structure of sticks and are padded with moss and whatever else a cat desires to add to it. (Ex.- feathers, leaves, scented flowers, etc.)
Freshkill
The freshkill pile is located in a slight dip in the ground in the center of camp. Common things to be found in it are mice, squirrels, voles, thrushes, robins, and rabbits (only after team hunts.) More uncommon things are shrews, blackbirds, and any other possible prey in the forest.
Predators
Predators are mainly just foxes and the occasional badger, though there have been a few incidents where kits who have wandered out of camp have been taken by birds.

Outside the territory

Starstream
The Starstream is a stream that runs straight through LakeClan territory. However, if a cat follows it, it will lead him/her to the Star Caves.
Star Cave
The Star Cave is far outside LakeClan territory; it is about an hour away by foot. It is, of course, the StarClan meeting place. This is part of the reason why medicine cats tend to take on apprentices early on; in case they are unable to make the moonly journey to the cave systems, their apprentice will. Leaders also go here to get their nine lives, and the day before they become warriors, all apprentices are taken here to convene with StarClan to erase any doubt they might have about their ancestors.
The Star Caves is a cavern built into the side of one of the mountains visible across the lake. It has a high ceiling with one small hole, letting in the moonhigh moonlight to light the still, black water and the slippery ledge leading around it to the small sandy beach at the back. A cat simply has to put his or her paws in the water and fall asleep in order to speak with StarClan. When the beach is flooded, the cats have to remain on the ledge.

The Names

Many, many people are hopelessly confused on the naming process of warriors. It is not a matter of what sounds the most attractive or what is the most unique. While of course the cats involved in naming a kit or a warrior will want a name that sounds nice and is different from the rest of the clan's names, symbolism means much more to warriors.

The Naming of a Kit

These names are the names that set a name off. (<-Overuse of name?) These are your Bramblekits, Tigerkits, and Poppykits. *A kit will never, ever be named for its eyes! I see this all the time and it really irritates me. What, was your cat not named until it was at least three moons old? Doubtful. The eyes of a kitten can remain closed anywhere from one week to ten days, and even when they do open their eyes, they won't be the same color as they are when the cat is fully grown. (And don't even throw the blue eyes at me. I have had mostly blue-eyed cats, and cat-blue eyes and kitten-blue eyes are not the same color.) Besides, eye colors are too unpredictable to be a part of your cat's name. Imagine assuming your kit will have blue eyes, as she's mostly white, so you name her Bluekit. But then she develops green eyes, and so now she has a name that makes absolutely no sense. Don't get offended and leave; this is important to the naming process of a cat. It is likely that you have never had close interaction with kittens as they grow, and that you didn't really know all these facts. (Please, please, please also take genetics into consideration when making a kit! If the kits' parents both have yellow eyes, the kit can only have blue eyes if both the parents possess the recessive trait for blue eyes. And that's not common. If one parent has blue eyes, the only way the kit will get blue eyes is if the other parent has blue eyes or at least possesses the recessive trait for blue eyes. Confused? PM me.)

THINGS THAT WILL (SHOULD) NEVER BE USED FOR KIT NAMES:

Eye color *above
Emotions (love, anger, sorrow)
Parts of the body (Head, leg, heart, tail, blood) (Exceptions: Whisker, for exceptionally long whiskers. For other long things, use Long-.)
Spiritually related terms (Spirit, death, star, ghost, and anything like that.)
Mystical creatures of human tall-tales (Dragon, fairy, unicorn, etc.)
Human objects they have no idea about (Yarn, jewels, (diamonds, emeralds, rubies, sapphires) etc.)
Yes, I have seen all of these being used.

The Naming of a Warrior

This is leaps and bounds more important than the naming of a kit! These names tell who the cat is, targeting their strengths and their personality. [b]The warrior part of a cat's name will almost never continue to describe their appearance! There are a few exceptions for when there's nothing else to describe, like -stripe, but the warrior name should be used to describe a prominent personality trait or strength in a cat.

Kitty's Characters

✦ Dawnflight ✦

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Image
Life's too short to even care at all
Numb
I'm tired of being what you want me to be
Feeling so faithless, lost under the surface
Don't know what you're expecting of me
Put under the pressure of walking in your shoes

I've become so numb, I can't feel you there,
Become so tired, so much more aware
I'm becoming this, all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you.

And I know
I may end up failing too.
But I know
You were just like me with someone disappointed in you.

Darkness descended upon camp, and with every cat that bid her a sleepy good night, the spark inside of Willowleaf grew brighter. Soon, she would see Talon.

And soon, he would learn that she was expecting.

She had volunteered for the Night Watch, and as the only cat on the Night Watch, it was easy to slip away and meet with Talon. Just the thought of him sent tingles down her spine, into her stomach, down to her toes. He was tall and regal, with a dusky gray pelt and the most brilliant green eyes. His voice was like rays of sunshine, his laugh making her burn with that longing to finalize it, to just leave the clan and be with him. And now that she was pregnant with his kits, that was exactly her plan.

Moonhigh rolled around slowly, but eventually it did, and she left with an excited spring in her step. She was going to see Talon. She was going to see Talon. That made her move faster, made her burn with that longing, as she had so very often at night. Then, she came to the clearing, and slowed to a stop. A sudden pang of nervousness overtook her. What would he think?

"Willowleaf?" Talon called out, and her stomach swooped. This was Talon. He would be ecstatic! He had always talked to her about how badly he wanted kits. He was getting older, forty moons now, and he was worried that he might wait too long. Wait no longer, she thought, and she burst into the clearing, her eyes bright and the excited "Hi!" on her lips before-

The words froze in her mouth, not even allowing for a gasp. It was as if all the air had been pushed from her lungs, leaving her stiff and staring, unbelieving and cold all over. No. No. No. No. No.

Froststar stood in front of her, his usually kind face tight and pinched with pain and disapproval. He looked at her like she was some foreign creature, somebody he'd never trust with a simple border patrol let alone the Night Watch. And beside him, underneath the warrior Blackstorm, lay Talon, his beautiful gray fur mussed and dirty, caked with blood and dirt. Worst of all was his eyes.

They were still open, glassy and wide, the warmth gone. What had once animated them, had filled them with Talon's frequent laughter and sweetness, was gone now; instead, they were brilliant, beautiful green nothings, never seeing his kits, never seeing his pregnant mate. Willowleaf wasn't sure quite what happened; everything just suddenly darkened, and she felt so numb, so numb... her vision narrowed to Talon's eyes, and she was suddenly on the ground, not hearing or feeling anything but that all-consuming silence and that odd numbness. Eventually, she passed out.

From there, Willowleaf's health declined considerably, as she'd stare hollowly at any prey anyone brought her, refuse to say anything to anyone, and just lay there staring at the sky. If she looked down, she saw green grass, and she saw Talon's eyes. If she looked up, she saw the blue sky. Blue was not Talon. Blue was safe.

The only thing that motivated her to eat was the kits that starved inside her, that bore Talon's face and Talon's body and Talon's warmth, the last bit of him she could hold on to. She felt ever more fiercely attached to the creatures growing inside her with every passing day, and yet she could not bring herself to eat more than a mouse a day. She couldn't quite bring herself to understand just how much she was affecting them.

She paid the price when she gave birth. It was a terrible pregnancy; the kits were way early, very premature due to her abuse, and she had a lot of troubles giving birth. The medicine cat tried to guide her as firmly as possibly, but there was only so much she could do before Willowleaf really decided what happened. She didn't know it, but the first two that were born were stillborn. They were far underdeveloped, which led the medicine cat to believe that they'd died somewhere in the last moon of Willowleaf's pregnancy, when she'd stopped caring for herself. They were just developed enough to have fur, and they were little gray tabby boys.

The third kit, however, was much bigger. She was like a tiny flame, mewling loudly and kicking strongly. Willowleaf looked up in alarm, her eyes still hazy from the poppyseeds, and guided the little she-kit to her stomach. Then, she saw the two toms and froze, a look of terror on her face. Their fur was the exact shade of... no. She couldn't, wouldn't do that to them. She knew they were dead; she could sense it. "He's Stormkit," she rasped, gesturing toward the one on the right, "and he's Owlkit."

The medicine cat looked stricken. "They're-"

Willowleaf waved it off tiredly. "I- I know." She had to hold on.
Had to.
Hold on.
Can't

- - -

Dawnkit tumbled through the nursery, looking up at Applefrost. "Mommy," she tested, and the brown tabby she-cat gave her a firm, gentle look.
"Call me Applefrost."
Dawnkit's ears went flat, and she looked at the she-cat in resentment. "But Sparrowpaw gets to call you mommy!" she mewed, and Applefrost almost laughed at the comical look on the she-kit's face. She was very feisty for her age. She would've, but she couldn't, not when she was about to tell Dawnkit about her mother again.
"I'm his real mommy," she said, her voice soft like her fur. Dawnkit marveled at it. I want to be like her, she thought.
"So you're my fake mommy?" she asked, confused, and Applefrost sighed.
"No. That means that Sparrowkit came from me, and you came from another she-cat. She was very noble, a great hunter in her time. Her name was Willowleaf. She fell in love with a tom who was outside the clan, and as a result, she had you."
"Where is she?" Dawnkit asked bluntly, and Applefrost flinched.
"She's gone now," the queen said elusively. "She joined StarClan, all the way up there in the sky."
Dawnkit thought about this for a second, but Applefrost could see that she was still too young to fully understand. Then, "So I'm a half clan, like Redpaw says I am?"
"Yes," Applefrost meowed, relieved to be off the topic of Willowleaf.
"Why didn't she just fall in love with someone in the clan?" Dawnkit asked, flicking her tiny orange ears.
"Because love doesn't work like that, sweetie. That's enough questions for now," Applefrost murmured, drawing the little fiery she-kit to her side and sighing. "I might not be your real mommy, but I love you just as much as I love Sparrowkit, and nothing will ever change that. Okay?"
Dawnkit suddenly drooped a little bit. "Okay," she said through a big yawn.
One day she would understand, Applefrost thought, watching Dawnkit sadly.

By the time she was an apprentice, Dawnpaw understood what Applefrost had meant. She was so used to the idea of it that it really had no affect on her by then, though; when cats dodged the topic, she told them not to bother. After all, she hadn't known this Willowleaf cat. As far as Dawnpaw was concerned, Applefrost was her real mother. Of course, she still wondered what it would have been like if Willowleaf was still alive, although she guessed she wouldn't be in the clan. Someone else had told her that her mother had committed suicide by swallowing death berries. She always shuddered at the thought, wondering how it would feel to be so attached to someone that you couldn't live without them. In a strange way, she wanted it, despite what it had done to Willowleaf.
However, even though the whole concept of being a half-clan had never bothered Dawnpaw, it clearly bothered other cats and was starting to bother her. Why couldn't they see that she wasn't any different than them? She was still just as much a part of LakeClan as they were. However, she was constantly being ridiculed, and everyone told her she wouldn't go very far. "You've got mud in your blood," they'd say. "You'll be bad at everything you try."
She was determined to prove them wrong.

Raventail, Dawnpaw's mentor, had had misgivings about her apprentice from the start. The little half-clan, that tiny she-cat? That was her apprentice? She'd scoffed. There was no way she was ever getting anywhere with that, she thought.
How ever wrong she was.
The fire with which Dawnpaw threw herself into her training blew Raventail away. At fifty moons, she'd had her fair share of apprentices, and none of them had held quite the determination of Dawnpaw. And besides that, she was good, especially with fighting. As another of the few she-cats who specialize in fighting, Raventail quickly came to regret her assumptions and respected Dawnpaw.

Dawnpaw, however, was more miserable than ever. She'd clearly proven herself better than those other apprentices, and still, two moons after her apprentice ceremony, they tortured her with their awful comments!
They didn't tell her she would be a failure anymore, though. They only grew more vicious, calling her an over-achiever, a suck-up, a fake, a cheater, and a whole slew of other nasty things. Every comment stung. At night, she'd cry into her bedding, and in the morning she was made fun of for it.
One day, she stormed out of camp and just sat in a clearing, crying. Raventail had followed Dawnpaw and watched her, staying silent for a while until Dawnpaw's sobbing quieted. The orange-pelted she-cat then turned her face to the sky and said, plainly and clearly, "I want to kill myself."
Raventail laughed, shocking Dawnpaw. "No, you don't."
"Then I want to leave," she shot back, another shudder running down her sides as she turned her wide green eyes on Raventail. "I can't take it anymore. I just can't, Raventail."
The black she-cat snorted, making Dawnpaw flinch. Raventail situated herself in front of Dawnpaw, staring at her with steady amber eyes. "Grow up," she said.
Dawnpaw stared at her. She had expected the special, tactful sort of reassurance that Applefrost gave, she realized. Dawnpaw knew better than that; Raventail was not nearly as wordy as Applefrost.
"Those cats are worthless. They're only as vicious as their vocabularies; not a single one of them can fight like you do. And don't even look at me like I'm a liar," Raventail said sharply. "You've got a gift. Next time they bother you, use it. And then they'll never bother you again."
Dawnpaw gaped after her mentor as she left. She certainly didn't feel much better after that, but despite her outward aggression, Raventail was wise.

The next day, Dawnpaw was grabbing a vole off the fresh-kill pile when an apprentice came over to her and whispered, "Fed the elders yet, you little cheat? How about that mentor of yours? She's ancient."
Dawnpaw tensed, thinking of Raventail's advice. Practice self-control, another voice said, this one belonging to Applefrost. "You're not very bright," she said evenly, and the apprentice snorted.
"At least I'm not a stupid half-clan like you."
And suddenly, magically, Dawnpaw's self-control dissipated. She whipped around and swiped her claws, lightning-fast across his face. She stood rigidly, looking at him without emotion as he started crying. "I'm not stupid," she said quietly, and he sobbed, looking up at her through the blood.
Then, she walked away.

She got to use a different set of skills one day as a couple of kits were playing near the lake. Their mother had been distracted, looking at her third kit, who had just climbed a tree and was shouting for her to watch his moves.
The two playing by the lake had found a fallen log that led out over the water, and they were tumbling along, not watching where they were going when the end of the fallen tree crumbled away, dumping them out into the lake. One screamed, immediately alerting her mother, but Dawnpaw was quicker- without thinking twice, she raced for the tree and nimbly picked her way across it before diving into the freezing water and putting the kits back on the log.
An eerie silence had fallen over the camp, and as she pulled herself up onto the log, she became aware of cats staring at her from all over. Her skin crawled with discomfort. Anybody would've done it, she thought.

Over the next three moons, Dawnpaw had received little to no insulting comments. Redclaw, the cat she'd scratched, hadn't even looked at her since the incident; she'd told Raventail about it, and her mentor had laughed.
"Perfect," she said. Now, Dawnpaw stood with Applefrost and Raventail, watching Sparrowpaw's ceremony. Her brother stood perfectly at attention, gazing intently up at Froststar.
He was named Sparrowstorm, and his virtues were courage and understanding.
Then it was her turn.
She squared her shoulders and prepared to walk forward as Sparrowstorm came back. His green eyes were glittering.
"Good luck," he whispered.
She padded forward, her heart beating faster as she approached the base of the High Tree. This was it.
Dawnpaw listened closely to the words as they left Froststar's mouth. She was named brave and fearless, traits that surprised her.
"Dawnflight," he named her, his old voice forming the word carefully, as if he were testing it out.
The name flooded Dawnp- flight -with a sudden surge of pride. This was her he was talking about. This brave, fearless cat, who by his description sounded noble and selfless, was the cat who'd been ridiculed all her life.

As she went back to Sparrowstorm to congratulate him again, she suddenly noticed that she was just as tall as him. She was no longer that scrawny little apprentice, with awkwardly long legs that didn't seem to make her any taller. She was bigger, broader, much more muscular; now her legs would be described as willowy, not awkward, and she was taller than the average she-cat. With a sudden, wicked grin, she looked at Sparrowstorm.
"Nice to meet you, Sparrowstorm,"
He looked at her thoughtfully for a second. "Funny how you say that when I've known you all my life, Dawnflight. You just didn't know you."
Dawnflight blinked at him in surprise. He was right; she hadn't fully known herself before now. In fact, she still believed that there was a lot more to discover.

Dawnflight's life, a moon into being a warrior, went downward a little bit. A harsh, bitter cold leafbare came and started taking out cats left and right. Raventail, as tiny and old as she was, was one of the first to go; it also took several of Dawnflight's friends. And even though the cold in particular didn't take Applefrost, it made her deathly ill with a sickness that the medicine cat and apprentice had never encountered before. Thankfully, it didn't appear to be contagious, but it took Applefrost's life within three days of her contracting it.
Through that entire leafbare, Dawnflight had to fight off the creeping grief that would randomly sneak up on her. However, the arrival of newleaf brought hope to everyone, and it also brought kits. Dawnflight had a deep fascination with kits, the one thing she had in common with the other she-cats.

Name- Sparrowstorm

Gender- tom
Rank- Warrior
Mother- Applefrost
Father- Thundertail
Siblings- Dawnflight (not by blood)
Mate- Wants
Crush- Is searching...
Other- He's a prophecy cat.

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Sparrowstorm, son of Applefrost and Thundertail, is the tom that every she-cat wants but never seems to find. They say they want someone who's sweet, loyal, and has a sense of humor yet is capable of being serious at the same time. Once you get to know him, this is the Sparrowstorm you'll find; even if his sense of humor is odd, it's there, and every last bit of him will be loyal to you if you earn it. However, that's if you get to know him, and most she-cats fail to ever try.

Sparrowstorm is, first off, terribly shy. He's always been overshadowed by his sister, Dawnflight; she's the half-clan, let's torment her, she's the wicked fighter, let's ask her for advice, she's had such a hard life and is such a hard worker... don't get him wrong, he loves his sister. However, as a tom who has no particular talents and is cute but not devastingly handsome, cats tend to gravitate toward Dawnflight. Sparrowstorm is also not the type to hold unnecessary grudges. He knows that Dawnflight genuinely doesn't know just how much attention she gets compared to him.

Another weakness of Sparrowstorm's is that he trusts too easily. Usually, if a cat bothers to talk to him for any length of time, he jumps at the chance to make a friend and becomes blind to any and all unspoken intentions. This leads to cats using him, manipulating him, and deceiving him, and after it's all said and done and Sparrowstorm finally realizes what they've done, there's nothing he can do. This also dampens his already low self-esteem.

Pebbleheart never really expected to become the medicine cat apprentice, but it would seem StarClan had a much different idea. As a kit, Pebblekit played with his sister, Starlingkit, but his small size usually meant that she would win their play-fights. With feelings that were hurt easily, Pebblekit often finished the day off by crying himself to sleep over petty fights with his sister. Perhaps it is this that led the leader to appointing him the medicine cat apprentice - Pebblepaw would not have been able to handle battle training and any lost piece of prey might have caused him to erupt into tears. Pebblepaw slowly began to learn how to rein in his emotions, though he remained very sensitive to everything around him. After he was apprenticed, the medicine storage became pristinely clean and organized, as his strengths were sorting herbs, as well as remembering remedies. Blueheart, the medicine cat, often praised him for these skills. When it came to applying those skills, however, Pebblepaw would often fail. He cannot stand the smell of blood, a result of having his parents massacred by predators at a young age; he does not remember the sight, but, subconsciously, his mind rejects the smell of blood. Nevertheless, Pebblepaw earned his warrior name after getting over that fear of blood and helping to heal many after a battle with rogues occurred. His dedication to his work, despite the personal obstacles, got him the name Pebbleheart, for his devotion. He remains the medicine cat apprentice for now and wonders if StarClan has anything else in store for him.

Born as the first kit of her litter, Starlingkit was much bigger than her brother, Pebblekit, who was very small and remains small to this day. She herself is smaller than average, but her parents were quite small as well, so perhaps it was just the genetics. From her father she inherited her fur colour and hunting skills; from her mother her eye colour and kind nature. Starlingkit's parents were massacred by some sort of predator when she was very young, and she and her brother were raised by a foster queen. On the day of their apprenticeship, Starlingpaw was surprised to learn that her brother would not be training to become a warrior with her and found herself lost without him. She visited him in the medicine den at every occasion, and still does. This was not very hard for her, as her paw pads are very soft and prone to cracking regularly, which makes being a warrior much harder. She pushes through the pain and remains kind to those around her while fulfilling the duties of her rank. Though fighting does not come easily to her because of her size, her hunting skills are well-known; because of the softness of her pads, the prey often does not hear her coming. She also has a penchant for replicating bird calls, something she was seemingly born with, which helps to draw prey closer. This is where she gets her warrior name - Starlingsong - from.

One of the first kits born in LakeClan's new home, Martenkit thought he was special from the start. He soon learned that being friendly would make him well-liked in his Clan and, once he became an apprentice and began to think of she-cats as something to be hit on, this friendliness evolved into flirting. This remains a strength of his, as well as a weakness. Martenpaw soon became known for this, as well as his excellent fighting abilities. In battle training, he would usually win against the other apprentices, regardless of whether they were toms or she-cats, and always had a gentlemanly manner about him when practicing with the fae. It was a wonder he did not get too distracted by them to admit defeat. His warrior name, Martenfur, reflects the colour of his pelt, as well as his friendly nature. The name was earned when he went off in search of lost kits and saved them, as the story goes, from a badger single-handedly (pawedly?). The tom likes to sing his own praises and often brings up his heroic stories, especially when trying to impress the she-cats.

>>Orchidpaw<<

\\T h e L o v i n g A p p r e n t i c e//

>>On the outside<<
Name: "Hello, I'm Orchidpaw. I'm named after my mother's favorite flower."
Gender: "I'm obviously a she-cat, can't you see?"
Age: "Well, I'm 10 moons, still quite young!"
Rank: "I'm an apprentice right now."
Desired Rank: "Warrior! If possible, leader!"

>>On the inside<<
Personality: Orchidpaw is a sweet, bubbly, and kind she-cat. These traits were most likely passed down from her sweet and caring mother, Leafwhisper. She can also be brooding at times. Her more negative traits were influenced by her quiet and unsociable father, Moonclaw. She loves interact with others, and is very amiable. In her old clan, Orchidpaw had many friends, nearly half the clan! They say they're her friend due to her sweet personality.
Skills: "I'm quite good and strategic fighting and swimming. I know, weird for a cat."
Disadvantages: "Well, I really suck at climbing..."

>>Relationships<<

Crush: None (open)
Mate: None (open)
Kits: None (wants)

Leafwhisper was mated to Moonclaw in a distant clan. One day, Leafwhisper told Moonclaw she was expecting. Moonclaw was proud and bursting with joy. Leafwhisper soon had the kits and named them Orchidkit, after her favorite flower, Nightkit, after Moonclaw, and finally Birdkit, after her slender shape. Soon they grew up to be apprentices. Then on a tragic day, Birdpaw and Nightpaw disappeared on a hunting trip together. A warrior brought their bodies back to camp two days later. Leafwhisper was devastated, and sent Orchidpaw out of the clan, afraid of the same thing happening to her last beloved kit. So Orchidpaw wandered, grief stricken, over to LakeClan.
