Rough guidelines for my character Otieno.

Race: Unicorn
Description: His smooth coat is a deep ebony hue that seems to absorb light. His coal-black hooves are hard as rock and smooth. A sparkling black horn twists gracefully up between his auds. His tail and main are silver-gray. His eyes are the color of a starless night sky.
Personality: He isn’t shy, but sometimes people think he is. He spends a lot of time in thought, and doesn’t normally speak unless he has reason. He makes friends easily and is quick to jump to their defense.
History: Both his parents died when he was younger. He spent some time with a local herd of horses. He stayed with them for awhile, but then grew restless and left. He spent a couple years just plain roaming around. He then spent several years living in a glen with an old healer who taught him about plants and herbs. When the old one had taught him all she knew, he bid her good-bye and went on to explore for sevral more long years. For the rest of the time he lived by a dragon grave, but then was chased away by a young dragon. Before that he had managed to avoid being seen by the few dragons who did overfly the graveyard on rare occasions. he is now wandering again, looking for a new place to call home.
