No, old hyena line designs won't be revamped onto the new ones.
And the manes are just manes. There just isn't the front hair tuft down the forehead.
It doesn't effect anything.

When I made the original lines I added hair tuffs in because that was the style of my cartoon drawing. The hair tuffs wouldn't look right on these lines. (:
