Twilightpaw was soon at the river. She looked in and saw silver fish.

Crowpaw leaped up and spun around. His features relaxed when he saw Violetpaw. "Just the birds." He said.

She peeked over his shoulder and spotted Twilightpaw and Tumblepaw leaving. "Are you sure you wernt spying on Twilightpaw and Tumblepaw?" she asked, tipping her head.

Crowpaw hung his head. "Yeah. I was. I feel so jealous of Twilightpaw because someone might like her. He said.

Starpaw rolled to her feet and pranced around Zeropaw. "Nothing really."She mewed, stopping. "The others are going to the gathering. What are you doing?"

"Exploring. Would you like to accompany me?" He asked. Zeropaw wished he hadn't said those words. Why would a pretty she-cat like her want to hang out with him?

Starpaw flickered her long fluffy tail. She glanced at the sky, then back at Zeropaw. "Eh, I've done all the exploring here till there isn't anything left. Have you seen the giant tree? You can just keep climbing and climbing and climbing. I'll show you."She padded ahead, her tail swaying.

Sandfall raised her eyebrows when her apprentice didn't respond. "Starpaw, I've been looking for you. Come on, we've got work to do." She told the apprentice, her voice a little more stern now.
