What are Helmer Bears?

In the last 40 years, bears from America, Asia and Antarctica have been transported to the Fernoun Island traning facility to be bred, trained and sold. Bears of all different colours/breeds/genders are trained for battle here, for the many different tasks they can perform. Throughout Asia and Korea these bears are used mainly for purposes of war where they defend the country borderlands. But in America, Australia and other countries, they are used for competition. Due to the dangerous nature of bears, the minimum age a rider may be assigned to a bear is 10 years of age however, a bear can be hours old when assigned. Helmer bears will only work for a single rider, no matter whom it is they will conform to the riders needs in order to please them after assignment.

3. You are welcome to bookmark, post and chat about Helmer Bears ONLY.

6. Customs and Breeding will open soon, for now do not inquire.
7. You may own up to 5 Adopted, 2 Custom, 5 Bred.
8. Enjoy the species... They're big fluffy cuddly teddy bears!!
9. DO NOT edit any pictures of the bears when creating armour. If this happens you will receive a warning. Repeat offenders will be banned. This matter is serious, and it is inappropriate to draw over my lines and the artists design.
10. DO NOT adopt if you are going to Quit/Give the bear up.

General Features

- Normal Bears, but are tamed/trained hence the 'Helmer' in the name. Helmer stands for 'War'.
- They have completely custom armour or a basic harness.
- They have a single rider whom is NOT designed by Official staff.
- Harness is built specifically for the rider.
- They will be equip with a harness when created and then you will get to decide what goes on the harness (ie. a pocket for a sword/chains/etc).

Specifics

Helmer Bears are the same size and anatomy as normal bears, from Polar bears to sun bears. The most common anatomy for Helmer bears are Grizzly or Brown bear. Below is the averages for height/weight/etc

Height: 102cm at the shoulder
Weight: 400kg - Male | 250kg - Female
Length: 198cm
Lifespan: 30 - 40 years with good care

Helmer bears do not hibernate. Though in the wild they would do so to survive winter, because they are captive and fed regularly will not hibernate through the cold months.

Colour

Helmer bears come in all ranges of colours but will almost always be natural with genetically modified markings to ensure each bear is different. These markings can be unnatural in many varieties of colours from neon's to darker colours. It is a rarity to find a bear that is completely unnatural although it can definitely occur.

What is Combat?

Combat is running rampid throughout America & Australia. Riders and their bears compete against each other in order to win skill points and level up their bears. Before joining the craze, be sure to read all the information below to ensure you understand what your getting yourself into! Combat is done on livestreams and pairs are chosen by random number selections.

Skill Points

Each bear is given a tally upon creation. When they are posted they will be given a total of 20 points to spread between the 5 skill areas; Agility, Speed, Intellect, Stamina & Defence. These will be incredibly important for you bear to move up levels and become legendary!

Agility - meaning at what speed can your bear move around quickly. Agility is necessary for your bear to avoid being attacked by another bear, also for your bear to be able to attack swiftly.
Speed - meaning how quickly your bear can move. This often will determine the winner of the battle, as if your bear is not quick enough, the opponent can strike and defeat your bear.
Intellect - meaning how smart the bear is in order for it to know when to attack and how to attack. The brains of a bear doesn't always determine the match, but once you reach 50/100 your bear will automatically be given a boost while in combat.
Stamina - meaning how long your bear can last in a fight. This can often help pull a bear through the final stages of battle and help win your match.
Defense - meaning how much protection your bear has and how well it can defend itself. This skill is important to build quickly to ensure a great match!

Level
Each bear begins at stage 1 bronze. Once he has won his first battle he will move to stage 2 and so forth increasing each level making it more difficult to reach the next stage. Below is more information about each level. Once you reach gold, it becomes more difficult to reach higher, but possible. The highest level is 'Diamond'. Once reaching this level you MUST retire your bear. Though there are matches which allow for free rounds rather than ranking rounds.

BRONZE STAGES

Stage 1 - Beginning stage
Stage 2 - 1 win
Stage 3 - 4 wins
Stage 4 - 10 wins
Stage 5 - 15 wins

SILVER STAGES

Stage 1 - 20 wins
Stage 2 - 30 wins
Stage 3 - 40 wins

GOLD STAGES

Stage 1 - 50 wins
Stage 2 - 65 wins
Stage 3 - 75 wins

DIAMOND STAGE

Final Stage - 80 wins

RETIREMENT

Retirement is reached at 100 wins.

Gaining Points

In order to gain points you will need to compete or join in on activities. Point gain does NOT mean you level, but will most definitely aid you with wins against others.
