Sky.Full.Of.Stars. wrote:Name: Darkpaw (Can you suggest a warrior name, please?)
Description: Darkpaw is a lithe black she-cat with an irregular patch of grey on her tail. She has amber eyes, and long legs and tail.
Important Notes: Darkpaw is extremely good at hunting and fighting, but hates climbing and swimming.

Name: Cloudpool(This is my friends cat, and she wanted me to review it for her. Thanks! ^^)
Description: Cloudpool is grey with lighter stripes and green eyes.
Important Notes: Cloudpool is a great climber and swimmer, being Darkpaw's mentor, and she is average at hunting.

Darkpaw
Name Suggestion: Darkfang
Name Reasoning: Since she's equally good at fighting and hunting, she should earn the -fang suffix, as that signifies someone who excels in both. Keep in mind that, generally, -fang cats are not explicitly fantastic at both, but they certainly are a step or two above the average, because they divide their time into honing both skills.

Cloudpool
Rate: 8/10
Type: Canonical
Reasoning: I'd offer to make her a light grey cat with somewhat darker stripes rather than a grey cat with lighter stripes, since cats usually don't have stripes lighter than the rest of the cat.
Onto the actual important stuff!
I've talked about -pool before, and the bottom line of it is that if it wants to convey a good swimmer, -stream already does that, and if it wants to convey a wise cat, cats earn wiseness as they get older - a cat would be considered wise when they're near the elder's den. Cats are not naturally more wise than others.
Since she is a good swimmer and climber, we have two possible suffixes that depend entirely on which one she's better at.
Alternative Name: Cloudstream/Cloudtail. If she's better at swimming, use -stream. If it's climbing she excels at, use -tail.

They have less names than brown cats, certainly, haha.

For a tortoiseshell, it would depend on what kind of coloring she has. If she's a dilute, or if she has more black than any other color, or more gold, or brown, etc etc etc. There's a lot of factors that go into a tortie name. If you could tell me the specific colors and how much of each she has, that would be incredibly helpful and would make searching for names a lot easier.

For a black-and-white cat, we have Avocet-, Badger-, Bright-, Diver-, Loon-, Magpie-, Patch-, Sheep-, and Swift-.

Looking for one mostly dark brown torotiseshell, and one mostly golden. Thanks of all the useful black 'n' white stuff too!

Image/Description: A mainly dark brown torotiseshell with amber eyes.
Name: Kestreltail.
Gender: She-cat, obviously.
Clan: ShadowClan.
Rank: Senior warrior.
Personality/Skills: Kestreltail is a very agile, slender cat who is used to climbing the pines of ShadowClan and often serves as a mentor to height-reluctant kits. As for her personality, she is quite an independent cat who can harshly let know she doesn't need help with a task. She is not mean, just proud and stubborn, really. Yet in times of need, she serves her can well, and if she has to, she will very reluctantly co-operate, with the tendency of making all the choices and giving any questioning a hard stare. She is expected to be a deputy one day.
Important Notes: This is a fairly new character, so there might be errors and stuff.

Heyo, it's me again. I just wanted to do a quick asking on what my my real life cats would be XD

Image/Description: A short-furred tortoiseshell molly with green eyes; she has no white. Where the patches of orange(?) are, there are darker bits of orange(?) in it.
Name: I need a warrior name for her XD
Gender: A molly
Clan: None, zero.
Rank: I'm guessing just a normal warrior. (Both my cats are seven, so I'm thinking about if they were younger)
Personality/Skills: My cat can be extremely feisty; she won't let anyone touch her belly or chest without a good nip or claw to the hand. She can be very loving to the people she likes; (Ahem, me cough cough) Though she will occasionally nip if she isn't being pet enough. She can sometimes chase my other cat around, but playfully and they will tackle each other from time to time. She hates my dad, not sure why; and she dislikes my mom. When she sleeps on my bed each night, she's a sweet heart and will curl right by your head and lick your fingers if they're close enough. She is extremely afraid of grass; when she's outside she won't touch it. Zip, none.
Important Notes: She loves sleeping on hot places.

Image/Description: A skinny, swift gray tabby she-cat with white 'booties' and a white chest and stomach. She has green eyes, like my other cat. Her gray pelt is light, with darker gray stripes on it.
Name: I need one for her.
Gender: A molly
Clan: None
Rank: I'm thinking either Med cat or a normal warrior(?)
Personality/Skills: My other cat is extremely sweet; I don't think she's ever bit or clawed someone in her life, unless you pick her up. She hates that. She can be very, VERY shy to people she doesn't like or know; and is a sweetheart. When your sick or crying, she'll come up and lay on your lap and purr and rub her head against you, sometimes she'll put her front paws on your chest and lick your face (sometimes, not always). When in bed, she'll come up very quietly, and sit right against your back and purr. She'll sit with you throughout the night purring quietly and (I forget what this word is called --->) kneeding(?) her paws on your back.
Important Notes: She's meant to be outside; she can hunt mice, baby rabbits, rats, birds, a lot of stuff. Unlike my tortoiseshell, she is extremely quiet and skinny, while my other cat is very loud when jumping. Thought that would be important.
i've quit CS,
thank you for the nearly 4 years that i've been on this site!

Name Rating: 10/10
Name Type: Traditional
Name Reasoning: It fits her perfectly, so there isn't too much to say here!
Alternative Name: None.

Character Rating: 10/10
Character Reasoning: There aren't any big issues with her, and her personality is great (as a side note, tortie cats are notorious [notortieous?] for being cranky and unsocial. I own one myself, and I can guarantee that's true). Prideful cats can be hard to work with, and I can see her being a very blunt mentor who isn't the best at instilling confidence but certainly doesn't give up until the kit at least tries. Her methods would probably be a little frowned upon (no one likes kits being scolded for being afraid), but she gets them up the trees pretty quickly, so they leave her alone.

Thank you very much for reminding me to put up purple eyes on the Common Problems post. I've been meaning to do that for a while now, but I've been forgetting.

Suggested Name: Rooktail/Swift-tail
Name Reasoning: The reason I suggest an alternate prefix is because Jackdaw is a compound word, and breaks up the flow of a name (much like Sunflower, Dragonfly, and Catfish). Jackdawpaw sounds a little awkward, don't you think - imagine a motherly, nurturing cat named Sunflowerflower. The names I offered above are both birds, and they both make for a black cat, so that it wouldn't be too far off from his original name.
His suffix, -tail, comes from his amazing balance and skills in the trees. How many cats do you know that can leap around like squirrels and not injure themselves?

Character Rating: 7/10
Character Reasoning: A quiet and closed off cat wouldn't be one to react easily or snap at others. Generally, quiet people can be either highly observant, and prefer to watch and make notes, or they can be loners, and remove themselves from conversations. I recommend going with the first option, because the second is a troublesome cat for a Clan built on family and community. He could be someone who rarely talks, but knows a lot, mostly because he keeps his ears and eyes open. Maybe he just has a really hard time talking to anyone, because he has a stutter or a lisp, and so he keeps his mouth shut. Something like that; these are just a few suggestions, but you can go a lot further with it.
