_______
_______________
ringleader ;; a person who leads others, especially in opposition to authority or law.
synonyms ;; chieftan, commander, mastermind
antonyms ;; follower
name ;; "I am not sure why it concerns you that much... but I am Imha."
↳ Her name is Imha. Her name in particular has no set meaning.
callsign ;; "Th-that is classified! I cannot go around giving away information that would reveal my identity willy-nilly, can I?"
↳ Imha's callsign, used by both scientists and other experiments from the lab is Ringleader. This is fitting because she viewed as a powerful leader, and is fiercely respected and looked up to.
gender ;; "I hope you are not asking me this because you are... interested in me... if you really insist, I am a female."
↳ Imha is a girl/female and will become very incredulous if classified as anything else.
species ;; "Clearly a fox. A bat-eared fox... hence the large ears."
↳ Otocyon megalotis, or simply put, bat-eared fox.
age ;; "It is not very exact, but probably around nineteen human years."
↳ Imha is approximately nineteen in human years.
sexuality ;; "...! N-now... this is starting to get a little too personal, is it not? Ah... what? I am not blushing!"
↳ Imha states that she is strictly not interested in love, so a lot of others think she is asexual. However, what very few know is that she is bisexual, though she is a little embarrassed about this.
{ strong-willed } { leader } { ambitious } { lonely } { cold } { cunning }
↳ Imha is, in a word, distant when you first meet her. She often seems distracted, aloof, like she's out of it, and that's because most of the time, her mind is in two places at once. She's very thoughtful, always seems to be thinking. She's also pretty serious, and has literally no tolerance for foolishness and anything of the like. Because of this, she's also sometimes labeled as cold, which honestly, she doesn't mind. She believes it to be pretty accurate. Others tend to stay out of her way, and you really don't want to cross her path when she's not in a good mood; she'll snap pretty easily. Her temper is kind of short.
↳ She's very stubborn, and she practically demands respect. She's also determined, a bit hard-headed, and will strive to get her way. She does not approve at all when her authority is challenged, and will never back down from a dare or a challenge in general. She's pretty dominate, sometimes even referred to as the alpha, though she doesn't like this title. Despite this, many say that Imha was a born leader, or perhaps it was simply a mutation that was added to her DNA when she was genetically experimented on. Either way, Imha is in no way a follower, hence her callsign: The Ringleader.
↳ Imha has a strong desire to achieve her goals. Once she sets her mind to something, she literally will not stop until she gets it; she would sooner die. And that's no exaggeration; she's put her life on the line many a time to strive towards her desires and passions. It's strongly advised to not stand in her way when she wants something. You might as well try stopping a fifty ton freight train on a one-way track - it's impossible. She doesn't care who she has to sabotage or even betray: it's not like she has any close friends anyway. Her teammates are all just another creature to her, and while she cares for them, to some extent, and is protective over them, she does not view them as "friends". In all honesty, she is afraid of betrayal, herself. She chooses not to make friends, as she is afraid to get attached to anyone. It is near impossible to gain her trust, as it has been painfully broken in the past. Because of this, she often comes off as lonely, but she doesn't always mind this.
↳ The fox is wickedly smart, as foxes should be. It's almost scary though, how slick, and crafty she is. Even manipulative. She knows how to get inside one's mind, and is a master of blackmail. That being said, she holds pretty fierce grudges, and if you somehow, miraculously, manage to gain her trust, and you break it, you might as well consider yourself dead, or perhaps even worse. You might wish you were dead.
likes ;; rainstorms, being alone, losing herself in her thoughts, warm weather (but not too hot), fighting, being in charge
dislikes ;; having her trust broken, having her authority opposed, cold weather, foolishness, ravens
fears ;; being betrayed again, dying and not being remembered, large bodies of water
strengths ;; strong leader, physically strong, quick thinker, agile
flaws ;; fears forming bonds with others, doesn't possess very good social skills, hardheaded, stubborn

"This is the method to my madness..."
Of the many experiments created in the lab, Imha was one of the few successful ones, perhaps even the most successful. The scientists were striving to create a war machine, but not one that would appear to be a creature built for battle at first glance. They wanted something sleek, beautiful, but with deadly potential. And it would seem that they have achieved it.
The laboratory was a place where scientists dedicated their life to creating creatures and genetically modifying animals that would be deemed "tools of war", something that could give their side an advantage in the war waging across humanity. It was here, in this lab, that Imha lived the entirety of her life. She was just a young kit when taken here, saved from the remains of a city zoo that had been destroyed in a recent attack. It is unknown what happened to the rest of her family, if they got out alive or not. She was the only bat-eared fox to be implemented into the lab's program, the only bat-eared fox that the lab has ever tested on. Imha was so young, in fact, that she doesn't even remember coming to the lab. Her oldest memories include waking up in a dog crate at a rather young age, with multiple wires attached to her.
Most of her experimentation and genetic tampering was finished by the time she was eleven, in human years that is. The stage after that would consist of many tests run on her, to see if their genetic modifications were successful. Many creatures would make it through the experimenting stage, and then fail their tests - which consist of many rounds of physical and mental assessments. If a creature were to fail, they were deemed as an unsuccessful experiment. While it was rare for these unsuccessful experiments to be euthanized, they were usually simply tossed aside, and kept in a far off wing of the lab where they would live out the rest of their days.
This testing stage was the first time that Imha was socially exposed to other creatures/experiments. She'd seen them before, but only in passing or from the shelter of her dog crate. Her first ever friend was a young male wolf, named Harlequin. He got his name from his pelt design, which was black on one side, and white on the other, with a red mask of fur on his face. He became her first friend, and around him, she seemed to act completely different. She wasn't nearly as shy as she'd been before. When they weren't in testing, they could often be found hanging out with each other, talking or play fighting or daydreaming about what was outside the laboratory. They even had nicknames for each other. Imha knew him as Harley, and Harlequin knew her as Immy.
After quite some time, a year or so perhaps, Imha began to notice something. She began to feel a bit different around Harlequin, like whenever she was in his presence, her stomach would twist in a weird, uncontrollable way that she wasn't entirely sure she was comfortable with. She had no idea why she felt like this, and it made things seem a little awkward. One day, she worked up the nerve to tell him about it. Part of her naive mind was afraid that she had some kind of sickness, or he'd given her some type of contagious illness just by hanging out with her. Harlequin laughed and shook his head, though seemed a little flustered about the topic. He explained to her that it meant she had a crush: on him. In others words, she liked him as more than just a friend. Imha was a complete stranger to love, but after a bit, Harlequin told her that he sort of liked her that way, too. With their feelings out in the open, Harlequin suggested that they become something more than friends: a couple. Imha had absolutely no idea what that meant, but she allowed Harley to guide her through it, and that's what happened.
Their relationship, while a little awkward, lasted for quite some time. And then, they met Shirako. She was an albino wolf who had just been deemed fit for the testing stage. They quickly welcomed her as a friend, and for a bit, Imha even pitied her, because she seemed so shy and fragile. The albino even reminded the fox of her first days as a testing initiate, before she met Harlequin. But as time went on, Imha noticed that Harlequin began to spend less time with her and more time with Shirako. She felt like she and her significant other were growing apart, and that greatly upset her, especially when she saw the black and white wolf with the albino female. They seemed to talk way more than they used to, and the comfort level between them was almost disgusting for Imha. She didn't understand what was going on; they'd all become very close friends, so why were they suddenly excluding her? And what was the warm, bubbling sensation in her gut, and the burning, constricting feeling in here throat? It was quite unfamiliar, but it was an emotion she thought she'd heard of before: jealousy.
Imha and Harlequin were doing extremely well in their tests, but Imha thought it seemed like Shirako was slipping behind. The aspect that the scientists had been hoping for when they were experimenting on her was camouflage. They thought it would be easy to work this into a creature with no pigment in their fur, but it seemed like they were wrong. While she was capable of blending into her surroundings, the ability only worked during an adrenaline rush, and lasted briefly. She could, however, make her pinkish red eyes glow in the dark. Harlequin, similar to Imha herself, had been created to serve a more offensive purpose, except his aspect was simply brute strength, and there was no hiding it either. He possessed thick, well-developed muscles, and was large in stature. When the time for "graduation" neared, Harlequin expressed great worry for Shirako, fearing what may happen if the two of them passed and their younger albino friend didn't. Imha hated the way that he talked about her, and finally, she snapped on him. She explained to him that she didn't appreciate the high regards he held Shirako in, especially considering his significant other wasn't the albino, but Imha. Harlequin did not take this well, and while he seemed crushed, he lashed back out with the same sort of rage. And after they separated, things between them were never the same again.
Imha and Harlequin passed their final assessments, and were then deemed ready for their final course before being approved to serve the purposes they were created for. They moved onto training. Shirako, however, failed, and was sent away to that mysterious sector where all the failures were sent. At night, Imha noticed that Harlequin would pace back and forth incessantly around the room, while their comrades slumbered. He wouldn't fall asleep until very early in the morning, and if he even woke up by the time the wake up call went off, he seemed incredibly sluggish and weary during their training sessions. The two of them still scarcely talked, but occasionally, Imha would hear him mumbling about Shirako. Finally, she couldn't take it anymore. One night, he managed to fall asleep, and Imha snuck out. She fled the training wing, and scoured half of the massive laboratory in search of the failures’ wing. It took her quite a few hours to find it, but eventually, she did. And she was shocked to see just how many experiments had failed the testing, for it was quite a lot more than those who had passed it. The failure wing was massive, which seemed appropriate for the amount of creatures it inhabited. However, Shirako was not hard to find. It seemed like she was making new friends, with other experiments Imha'd never seen before. But upon seeing her, the albino seemed quite glad, and also a bit confused; why was such a great achievement of an experiment here in the failures’ wing? Imha almost felt a little bad for getting so angry earlier, as Shirako seemed utterly pleased and little innocent. A warm feeling blossomed in her chest.
Every third night after that, Imha would sneak out to visit with Shirako. Sure, she was still mad at Harlequin, and had yet to tell him that she’d found his potential love interest, but she took this time to mend any faults she’d made in her friendship with Shirako, and perhaps even grow closer to her. It was almost strange how much she looked forward to those evenings when she would go and visit the albino wolf. Imha found herself growing quite close to Shirako, perhaps even dangerously close, for she was all too familiar with what had happened last time she’d allowed herself to grow so close to another individual.
Imha was growing very accustomed to these visits, but of course, all good things had to come to an end. One day, Harlequin had noticed Imha leaving their dorm unit, and the wolf followed in secret. Somehow, Imha hadn’t detected that he’d been following her until they got to the failures’ wing, and honestly, she was a little ticked off by his shadowing of her. However, Harlequin, on the other hand, seemed absolutely overjoyed at finding this place, at finding the very place where his partner whom he was separated from lived. He was relieved to see that she was still alive. And Imha was miffed and felt alone once again. Harlequin tried to make it up to Imha, but she wouldn’t have it, and ignored him. She’d watch from the sidelines as he grew painfully close to Shirako once more. Her chest would ache, and a burning sensation would twist in her gut. And amidst all those negative feelings, the longing sensation still lingered in her ribcage, the same one she’d felt when it was just her and Harley. But she was over Harlequin, so why had it returned? She honestly couldn’t figure it out. After all, it was completely nonexistent when she was around the male, without Shirako around, but when she thought about Harlequin and Shirako together, it would bring the feeling back. She would think about it tirelessly at night, and it bothered her to some extent.
And at that moment, she had realised that it was not Harlequin she was falling for again, but Shirako. The thought was mildly flustering, and yet, she couldn't help it, nor was she able to explain how exactly she felt. But the thought of her with Harlequin was frustrating, and part of her feared that Shirako might end up going through the same thing she had with the black and white male. It was generally worrying, and she did not wish that upon the albino, even though she wasn't able to have her to herself.
However, Imha kept herself away from the albino, now. She ceased her occasional nighttime meetings and decided to focus more on her training. As their graduation drew nearer, training became more difficult. Truthfully, she didn't care whether or not Harlequin graduated, and stopped worrying about him altogether. Let him fail the final initiation if he wanted to content himself with a failure of an experiment; that wasn't her problem.
A few years after she had passed her tests to determine whether or not Imha was a worthy experiment, she had graduated training and was now officially part of the war project. Harlequin, too, had graduated, though Imha couldn't have cared less about that if she tried. They both started out rather low ranking, classified as private cadets. Despite this, it didn't take them long to advance up the ranks. After Private, came Corporal, and then Lieutenant. Imha was told that she was a born leader, and while they didn’t do all that much in terms of actual war business, it was during times like these that Imha got her first taste of what the outside world was like. The most common activities were things like patrols around the parameter of the lab, or occasionally “war games”, where the unit would be divided into two groups and essentially perform a scrimmage of a simulation of a real battle. Each soldier would be a given a “callsign” during these games, which was temporary, and something that they were allowed to choose themselves. It was basically a nickname that concealed their real identity, and was used over radio conversations and things of the like. It was what real soldiers did in the military; they scarcely ever used their actual names on the battlefield.
As time went on, she noticed that Harlequin seemed to be slipping a bit. Ever since they had moved on to becoming full fledged members of the military unit, he’d been unable to see Shirako (which Imha took guilty pleasure from). And as she advanced to the next rank of Captain, Harlequin stayed behind. She definitely didn’t feel bad for him, oh no, of course not. She found it extremely difficult to muster up even a tiny bit of sympathy for him. However, he did seem truly distraught about this. Perhaps it was for the best.
~.~
Imha was becoming very accustomed to this life. But it was at the age of eighteen that it would all change forever. Over her few years as a soldier, she’d made her way up to Commander, just below the highest rank, which was General. In her rank scaling, she’d even managed to push a few other experiments down in the rankings. The scientists who overlooked the military, and her fellow soldiers, were all quite impressed with her prowess, and Imha was incredibly proud. She hardly associated with Harlequin at all now, and scarcely saw him at all unless they were partaking in war games. He was still ranked as a Lieutenant.
Naturally, all good things had to come to an end, especially for Imha. Her life never seemed to stay happy for long. One evening, there was a massive explosion in the southern wing of the lab. The cause of the explosion remains unknown. While that part was quite far from the area where the military stayed, the fires that raged from it were spreading rapidly, and occasionally would mix with the multiple flammable materials and chemicals, sparking more explosions. It didn’t take long for the entire lab to go up in flames, and many lives, both humans and animalesque, were lost. The laboratory was to be evacuated immediately, and though dozens of precautions were taken, only a very small portion of the military and the scientists were able to get out. Imha was one of them, as was Harlequin (she was a little disappointed about this, but ultimately felt bad for feeling that way). They were forced to flee the area, and in the process of doing so, the General had suffered grave injuries. Though he made it to safety with the rest of them, he was suffering gravely. With his last remaining strength, he appointed Imha to take his place, and then he died.
And so General Imha was now in charge of what was left of the lab’s military unit. They’d lost a great portion of their soldiers, a little over three quarters. And they soon learned that they weren’t the only ones who had escaped. Some of the failed experiments had managed to get out, as well, and were running wild. This was pretty bad, actually, because the lab had gone under the radar for decades; no one in the outside world had ever found out about it. And they couldn’t learn now, so unless something was done about these experiments who had escaped, the world would know. Now, the military had a new goal, their first real mission. They all chose official callsigns that would remain with them permanently. Imha had a bit of trouble picking hers. Her temporary callsign during war games had been Ghost, but she was beginning to dislike it, and didn’t think it exactly fit her. Her Commander, Anubis, had suggested The Ringleader, and thought it fitting because of her fierce leadership skills and the fact that she seemed to be a natural at getting others to follow her. They would all follow her into death if she led them there, and would willingly give their lives for her. She decided that she liked this, and so it sort of stuck.
And so the military traveled. They did not stay in one place for long, as that would be kind of risky if they were trying to stay under the radar. It hadn’t been long after their departure from the ruins of the lab, though, that Harlequin (or Joker, his callsign), had approached her, and expressed his immense worry for Shirako. At the mention of the albino, Imha’s chest ached, and she was partially overcome by grief. She hadn’t thought about the white wolf for a long time, and it was just settling in now that she very well could’ve died in the destruction of the lab. However, she brushed it off, showing no interest and acting like she didn’t care. Harlequin grew somewhat angry, asking her how she could be so inconsiderate, and Imha replied, equally as angry, that he shouldn’t yell at his General.
That evening was the last time Imha saw the black and white wolf with the red face. When they awoke the next morning, Harlequin was nowhere to be found. Imha believes that he ran off to find out if Shirako was still alive. It was incredibly foolish and selfish of him, she thought. What would happen if he was seen? If he was caught? What if he found out that Shirako was dead, or if he never found her? Even if he did manage to find his way back to their unit after that, there was no way that Imha would let him back in.
Truth be told, she is a little concerned, though. It has been a few good months since the lab burned to the ground, and Imha, now nineteen, leads her military unit strongly. They’re hunting down the small renegade group of failed experiments, and their mission is to eliminate them completely. After that, who knows? They’ll probably be sent off to fulfill their real mission, which is assist with the war effort. However, Imha has a slightly different motive for searching for these creatures. She wants to find Shirako, and even Harlequin. She wants to make sure that they’re all okay, that’s all she wishes to know. If she would be able to find that out, and come to closure, then she could die happy. She doesn’t care what happens after that.
And she will stop at nothing to find the answer to her question.

a little bit of information on the lab and imha's experimentation ;;
I feel like it's appropriate that I include this little bit, just to give you a better feel for the environment mentioned in her backstory and stuff. Basically, humanity is divided and it's like World War III. This lab is devoted to creating war machines out of regular animals. Mutants, sort of. Imha was created to be a beautiful, sleek, and innocent looking at first, but really, she's a deadly tank.
The lab itself is located deep in the heart of a mountain. Basically, it's underground, and it's massive. It's like a labyrinth of hallways and different sections and dormitories for humans, testing initiates, and soldiers-in-training. The military lives in the northern wing; they get the entire wing to themselves basically, but their department isn't quite as large as the failures' wing. The trainee's dormitory is quite an interesting place, too. It's on the top floor of the lab, and it built right into the side of mountain. It's one of the only places with windows that overlook the mountain side and the land around it. Looking out these windows was one of Imha's favourite things to do when she had free time, because it was her first real glimpse of the world outside the lab. Watching the sunsets was her absolute favourite.
All experiments are modified so that they can communicate in human language (don't ask how the scientists do it, it's classified, and incredibly complicated). Usually, their DNA and genes are rescrambled and edited as well, to change their fur colour and appearance. Imha was naturally striped like she is; the only modifications that were done on her was the red underneath her eyes. Other processes proved more complicated, like Harlequin. His right side (if you're looking directly at him from the front) is black, and his left side is white. His face is completely red, sort of like the red hue that creates the marking under Imha's eyes. His left ear is white, and his right ear is black. The only aspect of him that was kept was his eyes, which are golden-amber.
Once experiments pass testing, complete training, and move on to become full-fledged members of the military, they are given devices that are basically ear pieces that allow them to communicate with one another, humans and animals alike, through radio waves. They learn how to use this sort of tool, and other tools, during training. They learn other things as well, but it would take quite a bit to describe their full training in detail. Training generally takes two years to fully complete, though Imha and Harlequin trained for a bit longer.
The reason why the military hadn't gone out into the actual world to partake in war efforts by the time Imha and Harley became part of it was because, in military terms, their army was sort of small. Even after the training graduates had moved on. They wanted to build an army, and they didn't have much compared to real armies. The ranking goes like this, in order from lowest to highest. Private → Corporal → Lieutenant → Captain → Colonel → Commander → General. While there can multiple Colonels and Captains and everything below those two, there can only be one Commander and one General at any given time.

affiliations ;;
Harlequin ;;
↳ Good ol' Harley was Imha's first ever love interest. She liked him with a fierce sort of passion, and before they met Shirako, she thought that they'd be together forever. But that changed when he began growing close to Shirako. Now, she finds that she kind of loathes Harlequin. She no longer wants anything to do with him, and has lost her affection towards him. Despite this, she's still a little worried about his well being, and want to at least make sure that he's okay.
Shirako ;;
↳ At first, the three of them were all very good friends. And then Harlequin seemed to want to hang out with her more than he did Imha. She noticed them growing dangerously close, and when Shirako didn't graduate with them, Imha didn't care at first. But as Harlequin wouldn't stop talking about her, Imha found that she was a little worried, too. After she'd found Shirako, and Harlequin had been reunited as well, Imha came to the realisation that she was forming a crush on Shirako. She didn't know how comfortable she was with this, but after the lab crumbled to nothing, Imha was a little worried. Secretly, she hopess that Shirako is okay and that Harlequin finds her. Of course, Imha would like to find her as well, but she doesn't know if that will work out. She doesn't know if Shirako made it out alive.
Anubis // "Pharaoh" ;;
↳ Anubis is ranked directly below Imha. He's the Commander of the military, and his callsign is Pharaoh. Imha considers him to be a close ally, though she isn't sure if she views him as a "friend". She's forgotten what that word means. However, they're on good terms, and Imha feels like she can talk somewhat openly to Anubis. What she doesn't know is that Anubis is potentially developing somewhat of a romantic interest in her. But it's very, very unlikely that Imha will ever return those feelings. She no longer wishes to experience love.

Username ;; Hello there! I guess it's kinda weird that I'm putting this part at the end of the form, but whatever. I'm a different type of person. Anyway, my name is MaximumSimplicity, but you may call me Max for short.
Kennel Numner ;; This beautiful girl is in Kennel Number 227
Use ;; Well, if you have seen my form for Kennel Number 181 (Amitola), then you might know that I've been thinking about making a comic called Freakshow. Well, after a lot of thinking and plot devising, I have determined that I am going to actually go through with it now. In case you haven't seen that form, I will add a brief little snippet of it here. Basically, it's set some years into the future, in a world where humanity is at war with each other and the world is slowly collapsing, and it is about this strange laboratory that genetically modified creatures' DNA, whether by merging it with another species, or simply tampering with it and seeing what the outcome would be. They're creating tools for the war, something that they believe will give them an advantage. However, this laboratory burns down, and a handful of the creatures escape. Imha, if I were to win her, would play a pretty major part in the storyline. However, she would not be a part of the "main group" of outcasts/failures. While it would seem like these characters would be the only main characters, Imha is going to be a pretty main character, just in a different sort of way. She is one of the few more successful experiments to escape the laboratory as it burned, and because she was ranked so high in training, she basically became the leader - or general, which is her official ranking title - of her unit. Her job, along with the other successful experiments, is to work alongside the scientists who managed to survive the lab escape and hunt down the "failed" experiments who got out. Why? Well because, if these experiments were to be found by regular humanity (as the rest of the world has no idea what this lab was doing), all Hades would probably break loose. Imha has even more of an ulterior motive for this though, because she wishes to find Shirako and Harlequin, for multiple reasons. She will be focused on a lot in the comic, she might even get her own chapter, because I think it would be a lot of fun to turn her entire history at the lab into an actual comic.
I've fallen in love with this character from the moment she was donated. I saw her when she was donated, and was determined to try out for her when she was added to the kennels. So, here I am. I've worked incredibly hard on her form and coming up with her backstory and stuff, and I think she would be perfect to play the role I have in mind for her. She has a beautiful yet mildly simplistic design, and besides putting her into my comic, I'd probably draw her a lot. I've already sketched her quite a few times in my sketchbook at school, or on my notes, because pff, who wants to pay attention during Civics class? Haha! She would go to a very good home in my hands, and she'd be added to my character website alongside the other established Freakshow cast.
I would like to graciously thank the wonderful judges for reading my very lengthy form. I would very much love to win this beautiful character and include her in my comic, but I know that whoever you pick for her, they will make a great owner for this baby. I apologise for making you all read so much, but I hope you take the time to do so. I am very excited and little nervous for the code drop. Anyway, cheers! c:
