Tell why she has stains: When she was a young foal, her coat was once as white as snow. Her mother often told her not to go near the creek for it was too close to the farmlands where the humans lived, but one day curiosity got the better of her and she strayed near the creek. At first nothing happened, she was just playing around the stones as she watched the water rush past them, ignoring her mother calling her name. She shivered as the cold water splashed against her legs and tail, causing her tail fur and lower legs to be soaked from the creek's water. Her head whipped around behind her as she heard dogs barking in the distance. She tried to make her heart slow down, believing they were far enough away from her. But there was this nagging thought in the back of her mind wondering if they were running towards her. She shook her head, telling herself that she was just working herself up over nothing. But as the barking grew louder, and she began hearing the loud humans grow closer, her heart began to race. She tried running out of the creek, but the slippery stones made it hard for her and she fell, causing her legs and tail to become even more soaked with the dirty water. She stood up carefully, walking toward the bank as every step was placed down with care so she wouldn't slip again. just as she reached the bank, a large dog jumped out from the bushes behind her, growling as it narrowed its eyes at her. She yelped, galloping back to her herd with the dog running behind her, she could hear its jaws snapping close to her hooves and its hot breath only sent shivers down her spine. "Momma!" She yelled, running to her mother and hiding behind her as the lead stallion of her herd came up and chased the dog away. "Oh Arctic, I tell you to stay with the herd for a reason" Her mother said softly as she nuzzled her foal. "I won't do it again momma" She whispered, shivering slightly. Her wet legs and tail dried after a few hours, but they stayed a stained color ever since, to remind her of that one day.
