Not Just A Pretty Face... wrote:Personality:
Scathing - Rude - Loyal - Honorable - Brave
- Vain - Manipulative
"Yeah, I guess I can be quite scathing. But why
should I say something is good when it
clearly isn't? Even little kids should know
that waving around a dagger in a huge
crowd isn't clever. If you don't know that,
then you have some serious problems
and you'll need all the help you can get."
"Rude? Meh, maybe to some people you can't
take a joke. But really, just because I
called you a chipmunk-faced
hippo-tailed llama-eating
monkey doesn't mean that, like, I'm
calling you fat or something. It's just dun,
right?"
"Let's just get this 'loyal' quality straight. I'm
loyal to those who've done something for me,
who I owe something to. Anything else, if
someone offers me more money I'll betray
them. Hey, don't blame me - even beautiful
people like me need to make a living
somehow."
"Honorable definitely suits me - well, at least,
street honor. If someone helps me, I remember
it, and return the favor when they need it.
It works both ways, but generally I let people
off when it's me whose dragged them into
something. It usually is."
"I'm not really brave. I mean, I'm not scared
of much, yes, but I always need someone to
help me out of situations. I let my
tongue get away with me too much!
But I do try and stick up for what I
believe in, no matter the opposition. If
that makes me brave, though, then all the
street kids deserve a medal for bravery."
"Vain? Moi? Haha, I guess that's fair
enough. I do like to take care of my
appearance, though. But don't let
that give you the opinion of me
being a 'girly girl' - I'm happy
to get dirty - and often bloody! - when
need be. But I wouldn't go out of my
way to chip a nail or get my hair tangled."
"Finally, one I can absolutely agree with.
Manipulative. I'm a good liar, and it's
easy to take advantage of people by
pretending to be interested in stuff
they are. For example, if I wanted to
get someone who loved birds to help
me, I'd talk to them about birds and
then convince them that the only way
to save the elusive 'Liver spotted
turtle beaked antelope bird' would be
to help me. Obviously, that would only
work on really stupid people but I have
a couple other 'tricks of the trade' up
my sleeves."
A Trip Down Memory Lane wrote:History:
On the rough streets of London,
There lived two young girls,
Both with tails like a fox,
And pink hair which they twirled
They grew up together,
With a mouse boy, too,
His name was Peterkin,
And was loved by the two.
But then the Queen Mary,
Who hated their looks,
Ordered half-humans to die,
And left as myths inside books.
They were careful as careful,
And quick as quick,
But no one could help,
When one girl slipped.
The Queen's men were on her,
Like a panther and their prey,
Peterkin couldn't even
Drag her body away.
But alas! Another tragedy,
Is yet to them befall,
When the other twin makes a mistake,
That will spell great sadness for all.
For the other young girl,
Who's sp'rit was deadened,
Due to the grief,
So she headed to heaven.
By lying face down,
in front of a carriage,
But Peterkin saw her,
And 'twas him who was damaged.
She tried to save him,
To ease his pain,
But death's cruel grip,
Had grabbed one again.
Not wanting her friend's sacrifice,
Of his life to be wasted,
She found a gang, who took her in;
Here, too, there were unfilled spaces.
Here she aqcuired a dagger,
And other weapons too,
Like lying and manipulating,
What else could she do?
But here she also picked up,
Something far more useful:
A friend, by the name of Sven,
Who quickly gained her approval.
The street to her showed respect,
For them she'd done a lot.
She'd spat upon the Queen's cruel men,
And from there clutches, children got.
But good times seldom last so long,
The Queen's men were not pleased,
They caught her one night, all alone,
And bound her hands and knees.
To the Palace she was taken,
Along with others of her kind,
She knew she was to die,
That was all 'twas in her mind.
Then Peterkin's voice, loud and clear,
Suddenly filled her head.
"I know that you can do this, Kat,
Just believe!" was what he said.
"When they lead you outside,
To poison you with lead,
Make a break for freedom!
I'll be here, don't fret.
Kat did as Peterkin told,
And freedom she had again!
She found her old gang,
But not her friend Sven!
For he'd gone to look for her,
The night she had been taken,
They thought he must be dead,
She hoped they were mistaken.
She looked out for him every night,
Be it hot or cold,
But when she did see him again,
She fainted as one old.
How could she've not realised,
That Sven was Peterkin?
But that girl by his side was her sister,
How could that ever happen?
Peterkin told of their story,
Of how he'd died, but managed to come back;
And that the sister was only pretending,
For the Queen's Men's intelligence lacked.
He told of how he'd lost his mem'ry,
By getting hit by that horse,
But that the sister had reminded him,
Of all that happened before.
How happy they were! How happy!
For, they all foolishly thought,
That they'd stay together forever,
And they'd never be caught.
But the sister was not suited to this,
To thieving and lying and that,
So when the Queen's men came around,
She could not escape their trap.
This time there could be no trickery,
No faking or lying this time.
For a mace smashed against her head,
And her heart fell silent as a mime.
Although the sister was greatly mourned,
One thing was clear:
She'd be having a better time up there,
Than she'd ever had down here.
And as for the others?
Well they were fine,
This life suited them,
As you can tell by this rhyme.

The bear and the sparrow wrote: "Who goes there?" chirped the small bird.
"It is I, Bear!" The young, rambunctious kit yelled.
The sparrow peered down upon the small fox from the small branch it was resting upon. "You are not a bear, but a fox!" He exclaimed. "How dare you deceive me!"
"Why of course I am a fox, one they Bear." She explained.
"A fox named bear, such a thing!" Exclaimed the sparrow.
