The wolf snarls and jumps at Galvino. Galvino howls, and they tussle. Galvino struggles to keep the wolfs fangs from closing around his neck. Finally he flings her off of him with his hind legs. She hits the rock, and lays there for a while. Then she springs to her feet, her fur matted, her teeth bared in a malicious snarl.

In a last attempt, I try to nudge Gavino at her one last time, knowing hes been in two fights with her now and might not be able to. But she must be just as tired out as he is too.
