How long does it take to make those? All the detailed shading and texture and 3 dimensional stuff looks like it work take forever.

OvO I personally do not use the paintbucket tool. I color in with a brush.
When shading and texturing it depends what degree you want to bring it up to. It can take from few minutes to even days.
Then there is what the picture is about. If there is a background, shading becomes much more complex because the lighting of the background must match the character or it won't look nice.

It could take anywhere between 1-3 hours, depending on if I get distracted. If I were to do half as detailed, it would be about 45 minutes to an hour. But I surprisingly cranked these out quickly.

I go through a series of steps, I sketch out the position, then go in and line that position with detail. Then I block out the color. Then I use a pen-pressure tool that can be very soft if touched lightly and more potent the harder I press. That is what I also use for shading after. The eyes are always the last thing I fix up. For these, I tried to not make a direct lighting. I almost made it so the light direction was coming from behind them.
