◣════════★════════◢ ★ username; Katie Cat, fellow character hoarder and member of the CAAA★ kennel number; #335- About Alia -
★ name; Alia, it was the name given to her by her original owner and I think it suits her better than any name I could come up with. ★ gender; Female despite her tom-boyish and daring character. Being asexual as well, it's obvious gender has no real meaning to her.★ species; Alia is a griffon, or a mythical creature which is a combination of both a lion and an eagle.★ personality; She is the type that is able to convince anyone to do anything for her. Alia has great persuasive talent which she often uses to her advantage. She is also quite daring and will never turn down an opportunity to try something new and take a risk! Fear does not play a role in her decision making process, and she almost always rushes into things without thinking. Sustaining many injuries over the years has been the most common result of her failure to consider the consequences.dothedew

(just realized you can't have two forms on one post oops)

♥ Username ♥
I'm Unboxed, and I have an undying love for mythical & immortal creatures as you can see from my forms uwu
Also keep in mind that I'm Canadian, so if any spelling seems off it may be the difference between American and Canadian spelling ♥
♥ Kennel number ♥
85
♥ Use ♥
He'll be one of my characters, likely be a character in one of my stories, And I'd be drawing and ordering art of him .
He'd also be a good companion for a character of mine who's a forest spirit

♥ Name ♥
Skuggi
meaning;; shadow or shade in Icelandic
given to him by the villagers after they heard of a dragon who lived in the shadowy heart of the forest
♥ Gender ♥
Skuggi is male, despite the villagers belief that he's a female
♥ Age ♥
He's pretty old in human terms, 103 to be specific, but he isn't considered old among his kind.
Skuggi's species ages slowly and lives for up to 2000 years
♥ Sexuality ♥
Honestly, being cut off from the outside world makes it difficult to know these things, so he has no idea.
♥ Species ♥
Skuggi is a Dragon, though he doesn't exactly fit the stereotypical dragon look.
dragons in mythology often featured canine, feline, or equine components.
♥ Physical ♥
He's roughly the size of a draft horse, but weighs less than one.
♥ Personality ♥
chaotic | lazy | rude | careless | blunt | lonely |
"the shadows are always watching" is usually the ending of the legend of the terrifying and powerful female dragon who lives in the heart of the forest, devouring any child foolish enough to wander too far from home. No ones actually seen this beast in ninety years, but once in a while a hunter goes missing without a trace.
according to these stories, Skuggi can lie in wait for an unwary passerby for hours. In reality, he doesn't quite live up to the legends. For one, he's male, and most of his days are spent lounging around lazily or carving elaborate runes into the trees or rocks. On the rare occasion that he pursues conversation with something living, he isn't exactly charming. He's unintentionally rude and may seem distant, but after living in solitude for over a hundred years he'd actually welcome some company. He couldn't care less about fighting or gaining territory, just as long as everyone stays out of his way.
♥ History ♥
Skuggi was born in the mountains to the north of the forest he lives in, his mother was the second in command of the tribe that lived there. He had a pretty cheerful childhood, play fighting with the other pups and learning to hunt. According to the stories passed down in the tribe, the mountains were alive and full of prey when the ancestors of the tribe discovered it, but the dams later built by the humans in the south effectively cut off the water from the mountains.Due to this the tribe hunters often wandered into the southern valleys owned by the humans to hunt the herds grazing there. Eventually the farmers grew agitated. On the day of Skuggi's initiation as an adult they set fire to the shrubs surrounding the tribe campground. Most of the creatures perished, but a few survived. Skuggi was one of the survivors due to being on the initiation grounds, further away from the campground. He has no idea what became of his friends and family, but has made no effort to find them.Injured, he wandered south into the forests, which he still inhabits a hundred years later, prevented from leaving by the towns that sprung up around it and his fear of the unknown.
♥ Likes & Dislikes ♥

I don't mind letting you down easy
But just give it time
If it don't hurt now then just wait, just wait a while

Kennels that you are applying for: 146 and 159
Preferred critic: Any judge/Subjudge
What do you wish to get out of this critique? I would love to see how I can improve my form - is my personality okay? What about the history? Is there anything else I need to add to make my form better? Also, I'd love comments on the length of my form.

Lastly, be as harsh as possible on me - I'll take any suggestions you throw at me. XD

Just to make sure, did you get the critique I sent last time?

...I have absolutely no idea. My inbox is REALLY cluttered right now, and I have no idea if you ever sent me one...though my memory insists that you did. Sorry, but I honestly have no idea - I wish I could've been a better help!

I would like to use him as an OC, mostly for drawing but he may be featured in some stories as well
Why I want this character
I think the design is absolutely gorgeous and I would be honored to own him. He’s also given me a lot of ideas for stories which I would love to be able to write and illustrate with him. He also is very fun to draw, so I’m sure I will be doing a lot of that as well <3

Personality
Imamu is a fiercely loyal companion. If he finds someone whom he deems worthy of his trust and protection, he will lay down his life to defend them. Despite now being a loner he still retains a pack mentality. Because of this it is difficult for him to hunt alone, as he is used to doing so in a pack. He is quite lonely now as well for this reason. He often spends long nights wandering or looking at the stars. He has become something of an insomniac, and on the rare occasion he does get to sleep, he’s plagued by nightmares; scenarios of what may have happened to his pack.
Imamu is quite compassionate, always willing to help others. He also tends to over analyze and stresses over small details that he probably needn’t be concerned with. He has a calm nature, and can easily be around children or timid individuals without frightening them. He knows how to come across threatening if need be, but he would much rather appear as the teddy bear that he is.

History/Background
It was cold. Why was it so cold? Cloudy eyes opened groggily. He felt tired. Heavy. As though his limbs were made of lead, or something was pressing down on him. With a groan, Imamu managed to rise to his paws. He could see his breath rising in misty clouds at the end of his elongated muzzle. Where was he? Everything was ice and snow, but how had he gotten here?
The great beast shook himself, flecks of snow and ice flying off his frost-covered fur. His paws ached from the cold ice beneath his paws, but he wasn’t greatly concerned with that at the moment. Where was everyone else? What had happened? The last thing he remembered was hunting with his human. He raised his head, sniffing the air. Nothing. It was as though he was the only living thing alive.
Spotting a large ice formation, Imamu darted over to it, scaling the slippery surface. He lost his footing only once, but managed to sink his claws into the ice to keep from falling. Once atop the formation, he looked out across the barren landscape. This had all been savannah last he remembered. So how had this happened?
Imamu squinted against the whipping wind, sending tiny daggers of ice at his face as he tried to gain his bearings. There, in the distance, was that a cave? Perhaps his cave. The mighty creature leapt down from the ice, landing easily, and took off across the snowy landscape. He lowered his head as he ran, the wind stinging in his eyes and nose. His paw pads were sore from running over jagged ice, but he pressed on, finally reaching what was indeed a cave.
The canine peered inside, sniffing. He could recognize no discernible scent, so that likely meant the cave was uninhabited. He cautiously stepped inside. Just like outside, it was frost-covered and bone-chillingly cold, but at least it was shelter from the wind and snow outside. He padded through the cave, sniffing, searching for scent markings that might indicate he would have to fight for a night in this cave.
He lifted his head for a moment, spotting something on the back wall of the cave. He walked over slowly, reclining onto his haunches. He raised a paw, scraping some of the ice off the wall with his claws. After a few moments, he was using both front paws, trying frantically to clear away the layers of frost until…
A pitiful whine escaped Imamu’s throat. It was a cave painting. His human’s cave painting. This was his cave afterall. But where were the others? He looked around. It didn’t look like anyone had been here in a very long time.
What was he to do now? His pack, his human, where could they be? Had they perished in the storm outside?
History Overview
Imamu is an extinct breed of canine, an ancestor of the wolf. He grew up during the stone age. His ancestors were trained by humans to help them hunt and protect the tribe. Imamu was born into this lifestyle and given as a partner to a human man called Idir. He was very much attached to his human and protected him with his own life, and Idir returned the favor.
His humans were a nomadic tribe who traveled around constantly. When the ice age hit and everything began to freeze over, it became more and more difficult to find food and so their nomadic lifestyle became all the more important. The humans used their canine partners to help them in hunts. Idir and Imamu became closer than ever during this time and were among those who dared to travel farthest from the tribe when hunting.
The days were getting colder and colder and one fateful day, when the pair went out hunting, they never returned. They had been crossing a frozen lake in pursuit of game when Idir fell into the icy water. Imamu, loyal to the end, dove in after his human, but both were lost to the depths. Or at least, so it appeared. So far as anyone knows, Idir perished in the icy water, but Imamu by some fluke was frozen alive and remained in a dormant state. When he woke, his world was gone with a new one in its place.
I can’t go farther than this, because this is where my stories and drawings will pick up.

To wes or anyone else who's a moderator on this thread, I have a question. I looked on the front page - perhaps I missed it - and couldn't find anything on how one becomes a judge or subjudge with this agency. I'd LOVE to become one, and I think that I have enough experience to adequately be a help to the staff on this thread. If you state that applications are not open, I'll completely understand...however, I'd have to ask when they'd be open again, or IF they'd ever be open again.
