Okay okay, I've remembered some of them ^^'

What's it like being in the army? Is it scary? Have you ever had to deal with PTSD? Are you under constant threat of being attacked or..? Have you ever seen a camel spider?

Also... Are you guys protective of your little sisters/brothers? That is, if you have any younger siblings.

Dear lord I need to actually get on more often instead of being a boring old person.
Yes, it's scary. Boot camp was terrifying, and it's certainly not for everyone. You have to get used to being yelled at, called names, and learn to work well with other people (Which are all things I have problems with). There are very scary situations all the time, even when I get to stay here at home (meaning not leave the country which I might here soon if Obama signs to keep some troops in Afghanistan).

Personally, I have not had to deal with post-traumatic stress. I've only been deported once, and nothing really went on there. Nothing life traumatizing really, though I do have friends and co-workers that have had to deal with ptsd.

As for being attacked, personally, no. As a whole (meaning the marine corp), I wouldn't know. That's for CO and higher officials to know. We usually don't get involved too much. Just take orders.

No, I've never seen a camel spider.

I am VERY protective of my skinny love (Sister). I'm constantly in contact with her and like to hear about her day and how things are going and tell her that if any boys mess with her, I won't hesitate to go over there and sit on the porch with a benelli across my lap.

Yes! Always mention the scary stories or in my case, stretch the truth of a war story or something. Just to get the point across.

Dang..sorry to be a random stranger but you're brave xD I wouldn't do that.

My friend suffers PTSD and another person I used to know suffered it too (one who used to work in the army but he retired)

I'm surprised there is a boy's club on here haha :b

Well, considering the fact that I've never suffered from it, but don't doubt that there's a good chance I will before my military career is over, I don't call it bravery.
I signed up, knew what I was getting into, and volunteered. Idk I guess I never really looked at it all as bravery when I'm surrounded by people that have done things that are truly heroic and brave.

Probably the part that required the most guts was boot camp. And despite all the other 'scary' situations that we have to deal with even at home, the people I'm surrounded by live for it.

A bit off topic, but I'm a movie lover, and can go from cool to insta-nerd fanboy in half a second when it comes to awesome movies. Has anyone seen the new 300? I saw it last weekend. I haven't seen the new Need for Speed, or very many other new movies, but loved the new 300.

I won't be seeing that in the theatre, but I'll probably download red box it later on.
