Name You'd Choose for It: Nymeria
Gender: Female
Reason You Want It: For me, this design was love at first sight. She is a wonderful inspiration, and I can already see many ways of using her, and I immediately had a clear idea of her place in my storyline. She will have a place on my character page, be involved in her own short stories, and have a place within a novel-in-process. While I can't afford much art, I will be able to get some of her, and she will join my other characters in my own drawings. She will also be a headmate.
History/Background/Other:Oh, for a child to be born. There is no way of knowing what their life will hold, what is in store for their future. You do not know what love, what joy, what greatness is woven into their life. Or what sorrow.
Nymeria was a first child of a first litter, born after the last snows of winter had melted and spring was in full force, though her heart had always belonged to autumn, when the first chill winds began to blow away the remnants of summer and sent the leaves spiralling from their branches.
Her first year was spent in nothing but pure joy and laughter, mischievous teasing and questioning of anything and everything that came to mind. A brother came in the spring of her second year -Takir, he was called.
In her third, baby-blue eyes began gradually changing to orange, and the shades on her simple coat began to darken. It was not pointed out until the autumn of that year by her brother, and by that time, the light shapes of orange were clearer on her coat.
Story excerpt wrote:She looked hesitantly down at the small pool of water, startled immediately by her own reflection. Her eyes had always been the shade of the sky, but now they were gone, the orange that was now there unfamiliar in the wide-eyes.
It was tempting to turn away from what she saw and banish it from her mind, go back to hunting and joking with the small pack, but her brother urged her to view the marks on her back and side. Finally she relented, turning and glancing into the water, examining the light markings with suspicion. They did indeed look like the leaves that had been falling from the trees for the last few weeks, only these could not be brushed away.
At first she had been worried over these things, but when her brother joked of how he envied these special marks that adorned her, she relaxed considerably, though doubt still plagued her. Through the learn winter and sudden abundance of spring that followed, though, she was distracted enough to keep her mind away from the consequences of these things.
Spring of her fourth year, and a dark red began to seep into her fur, travelling down further than the orange. These markings spread far quicker than the last, and by summer, they were clearly visible on her fur. By that time her 'blessing' had begun to manifest itself in other ways, such as a startling flurry of leaves falling with only a light breeze to provoke them that spring. It was shrugged off as always, though she began to worry more and more.
It was midsummer when the shifts in the next-to-deserted element were finally detected. Aldara was the first -and, for a while, only- one to notice, and the former messenger was the one sent to watch after the young potentional-recruit, and hopefully persuade them when they were of age.
The young female wolf eventually left willingly after a month of the stranger staying and hinting at an important task Nymeria could be useful for. Though exaggerations were plenty, the elder could not bear to outright lie, and the two became fast friends, the younger breaking through the stranger's wariness.
That autumn, once the unrelenting heat faded, the two left, Keeper and Master side-by-side, and an even younger male in tow. The two had refused to be parted, Takir becoming less of a playmate and more of a guardian.
She lives now in Dion's estate, Aldara her mentor, and though she hasn't quite realized the circumstances as of yet, she's starting to see the world isn't as wonderful place as she'd thought.
Personality:Nymeria is extroverted, able to make friends easily, and loves new people and experiences. She lives in the here-and-now, usually not thinking of the consequences of her actions as a result. Talking on a personal level is something she finds hard with strangers, but as soon as they are labeled in her mind a trustworthy friend, she's a pretty open book.
While she loves social life, she doesn't like to be the center of attention for a crowd, and even less, to be talked about, whether good or bad. She prefers to spend time with one or a few others at a time, filling in most of the conversation and popping in when she feels necessary with a -usually terrible- joke.
Even though she loves seeing the new, foreign ideals and ways of life she's more cautious of. She lives strongly by her own, traditional ideas, and will challenge those that contradict her own quickly. Theories in general she dislikes, preffering to find out herself, through experience, whether it is true or not, than be told something is right.
As such, she's not exactly a good advice-giver, but will listen and sympathize.
Such emergency environments are what she's the most comfortable on. An unexpected sound or question will get a much quicker response from her than it would from her brother, and she works best under pressure than if she's given loose reign.
Nymeria is often in the role of peacemaker now that she is filling her role as an elemental master. Even though she was the bold one as a pup that started play-fights with her brother, now she keeps her younger brother and Dion from tearing each other apart often.
You can guilt trip her easily, with her sympathetic attitude and concern.
Planning ahead is definitely not her forte. She is spontaneous, optimistic, and fun-loving, despite a general lack of rationalization. She is over-indulgent at times, and has often gotten herself in trouble by not thinking ahead.
One strong point of hers is that she is acceptant, seeming to actually like almost everyone. They are loyal, warm, and generous until crossed, when she becomes pig-headed and will hold a grudge for a long time with deep dislike.
She likes practicality, but not routine or structure.

- New experiences
Dislikes:-The dark. She doesn't mind the evening, but being unable to see what's going on around her makes her extremely uncomfortable.

Notable Family: Year-younger brother, Takir, living with her in Dion's estate. Parents, still alive and in good condition.
Age: Four years
Relationships with other Blessed Ones: Though she gets annoyed by the critical mood most the two have, she is determined to please Dion and Artemis somehow, doing more than she is asked in her attempts. She does not trust Artemis, though she would be comfortable around Dion if it was not for Aldara's persistant warnings to be careful, so she puts on half-hearted caution for her friends' sake.
Despite Acelin -a second young Master- being the only one Takir trusts in the environment that he considers otherwise hostile, he is the one that exasperates her the most. She's determined to lighten him up, at least some, and hopefully change some of his pessimistic attitude.
I understand that by adopting this creature I take full responsibility for it.Without a doubt.
