    利沙子, 嵐の神
    [ ree-sa-ko ], god of storms

ooc; pshhh, unsubtle; she's not unsubtle at all.
and also, there's one last person who will be posting
their character soon, and jumping into the role-play.

    _______________________________________________

Golden eyes faintly shifted to and from the sky to Rei, flickering with the movement of the clouds. The grey glum spreading across the sky screamed out threats of a storm, and naturally, there would be an occasional 'flare' in her eyes in response. But it was only habitual; even if she, so long ago, learned how to control all her catastrophic powers, the ambience around her still whispered with the identity of the lightning god.

"It might've not been the best idea," the deity agreed, "But it doesn't change the fact that the shrine I have here is already falling apart by it's beams." She paused, her jaw line becoming stiff as that impractical thought of 'what am I going to do?' came rushing back to mind. Muttering a curse under her breathe, she put a hand to her forehead to cover her eyes for a spare second. What was she even doing, imprudently marching off to Hanami as if all the clocks all over the world counted off time for solely her alone?
But there was nothing she could do about it now; perhaps if she looked at the whole problem through Rei's eyes, she'd think some other way. Like 'perhaps fading away with pleasurable memories is better than fading away with none...'

No--that just wasn't her. Whether it was two days or two seconds, she'd fight for everything she could get.

While she was dawdling on her reluctant thoughts, she could feel the presence of Tenken creeping up. And by the time she finally spotted him, he seemed to have seen her as well; two fingers pressed together and lips twisted for only a split second, he gave her the briefest of greetings.
Seems like he's around once again, she thought, returning a quick wave.

Being the god of storms, she had history with Tenken--peculiar history, actually. Long story short, the two had been in an obscure romantic relationship for a while. But what could you have expected from two deadly gods in the adolescence of their days? Of course, there had been the whole issue with his time to time disappearances, so she had called it off in the end.
Now, the two were simply the finest gossiping duo throughout the modern century.

"Seems like I wasn't the only deity who decided to come to Hanami this year," she said to Rei as she rose from where she sat, approaching the two other gods who seemed on the verge of a verbal quarrel.
"You have a follower?" Risako called over to Tenken as she gave a quick nod to Yoshina, a short acknowledgement to her presence. Newer gods didn't bug her as much as they did to Tenken-- she was acquainted with most of them, but she just didn't fully accept them.
Though that didn't stop her when it came to seeing what would be unfolding between the two.

In fact, she was beginning to have a quaint feeling that something would happen today, and it wouldn't blow over quickly.

    Yoshina~~~
    Deity of Ambitions and Dreams
    Tagged: Tenken
    In: The Park/Festival Grounds
    Feeling: Quite Offended.

Yoshina's eyes continued to follow Tenken as he stated -or more accurately, motioned- his greetings to the deities around, Yoshina taking just enough time away from staring to scan the deity Tenken was motioning to. At least, Yoshina inferred she was a deity; Tenken didn't seem like one to 'stoop down' as to talk to humans as willingly as he did. Recognizing with a slight start that the other deity was no other than Risako, a faint friend she had made in her first few years as a deity, Yoshina then started to wonder how many deities, exactly, were at the Hanami right now, considering the heavy evidence that it seemed to be attracting quite the supernatural crowd. Then again, it was a festival for honoring the supernatural, so that might not have been the most surprising thing.

As Yoshina's gaze and thoughts finally returned to the brooding male, Yoshina started when she realized the deity had somehow abruptly started to stare back at her. Eyes widening in mild shock, queasiness started to roil and writhe around in her stomach, anxiety intensifying as she stared back into eyes that seemed to scream contempt and disdain. The queasiness soon changing into a shock of indignation as Tenken quickly went around to start hurling 'helpful advice' at the younger deity, describing quite bluntly how she was a terrified little being that might have won her newfound place as a deity because of... Luck. Yoshina absolutely despised the word; she was lucky she was deity. She was lucky she had a shrine of her own. She might be lucky enough to live a few years more than she should. To Yoshina, someone so used to luck that it was barely unusual, it was nothing more than a hassle to deal with and a pain whenever it was mentioned.

Frowning slightly as she sat on the ground, hands absentmindedly picking and shredding four leaf clovers, Yoshina opened her mouth to retort, although the first sound that came out was more of a strangled gasp as Yoshina grappled with herself, deciding as to whether or not she should respond in the first place; Yoshina was quite inept at socializing, as abrupt and rude as it was, so the sable-haired deity could only stare for a split-second more before finally grasping onto long-unused words and forming a successful sentence. "Well, I'm sorry, but a god might be better off as something else if they're already considered invisible by most. I doubt there are ten thousand spirits that want to replace a dying god that hasn't even fully surfaced yet." Yoshina said softly but audibly, voice dipping into faint despair before becoming monotonous again. "But what, pray tell, has brought a god such as you here? Shouldn't you be resting in your spacious shrine, waiting for offerings?" Yoshina said pointedly, quite oblivious to the fact that Tenken was in a situation quite similar to hers; without knowing it, she had just tread into dangerous territory.
Thank you, Monty.

You will be missed.

Aithne

To be honest, Aithne hadn't been paying very much attention. Leaning against the tree, the onibi closed her eyes, hearing all the murmurs of conversation about her. When she opened her hazel eyes a while later, though, she was quite surprised to find Tenken with a wry smile upon his visage. Looking slightly more interested now, Aithne stood straighter, her eyes following his line of sight till she saw Risako, and her Shinki, Rei. Aithne stared at first, having been a little shocked. She hadn't really been expecting another god to be here, though Risako's presence definitely explained the brooding storm clouds. Aithne wondered if it was going to rain. Luckily, she'd brought an umbrella. A big one, too, seeing as Tenken never really brought very many things. Sometimes, it was a good thing to be prepared.

Aithne habitually shifted closer to Tenken-Aithne had a slight phobia of other gods as the memory of having almost been sentenced to death by them was a strong one she wasn't planning on forgetting, even after all the years. As she did though, she caught him speaking in a low, berating tone. But that wasn't really what caught Aithne's attention, he tended to get pretty irritated at others. What did, was his words. Was there yet another god here? Coming closer actively now, Aithne shifted to a few paces behind him, wanting to see this God, yet not wanting to let her feel intimidated or anything. Tenken was intimidating enough by himself.

Looking at the girl, she seemed quite young, though you never really could tell with Gods. The god replied spitefully though, and Aithne watched, cocking her head. Was this one in trouble of fading away too, then? With this modern society, people counted on themselves a lot more. Aithne listened, before a few words made her eyes widen in surprise at the newer god's words. Was she trying to spite the god of chaos? That was a bad move. Looking at the female god, she didn't seem to look like she planned it as a sarcastic comment. Probably thought... Oh dear.

Feeling somewhat sorry for the girl, Aithne looked towards Tenken, slightly concerned. Given his previously irritable mood-but when was he not?-things might turn a little sour.

The voice of Risako popped up once more, and Aithne looked up, edging slightly closer to Tenken. With three gods and a possibly explosive situation, Aithne stood alert, wielding an umbrella. Just in case, after all.
Mostly just on rps now. XD

      Currently;

      Tags;
        Sachiko, short post is short.

It was quite clear that Soushi was absolutely reveling in her anger, even if it was mildly adorable. Looking at her more closely, he was able to scrutinize her features a little better, She was pretty adorable -by human standards anyways- and along with her short stature he could deduce she was probably quite popular, probably had quite a few friends but she didn't seem the usual, stab you in the back sort of girl. He thought she looked like that rare kind of popular girl, who was actually nice. The total opposite to who he would be if he were human.

When she closed the distance between them he arched a brow and his gaze moved down to focus on the point where she had poked him. How dare she! If she just knew who she was poking like a kid on the playground surely that would change her tune! Insolent little wretch! Well that certainly removed his little grin. Soushi almost slapped her hand away from him, but then he might hurt her or someone might see it and he didn't want to draw attention to himself.

"It was just a little bump why are you getting to annoyed about this? It's not like I went out of my way to run into you!" He replied, keeping his voice level and firm, it tended to crack under pressure or annoyance, and he didn't need that to happen when he was trying to start, and eventually win an argument. Shifting slightly where he stood so she couldn't poke him again, his coat was thick but those little fingers had actually reached him and in some strange way, it endeared him,People didn't normally physically fight with him, and there was something a little bit exciting about that, perhaps he would see if he could push her a bit further. He wasn't want to accept defeat just yet anyways, but he was, in this case at least, in the wrong. Maybe he would have to say sorry.

Sachiko Kobayashi

"THE POPULAR"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Age: Seventeen years old | Human | Mood: Hungry/Smug | Currently: At the Hanami Festival

Sachiko stepped back, grinning in pure smugness. "Aha!" she exclaimed, placing her hands on her hip as if she had solved the world's greatest mystery. "So you do admit to it, then! That you had bumped into me!" she finalized, with a firm nod of her head, causing her butterfly barrette to come into view for the briefest of seconds. She then crossed her arms, eyeing him with glint in her eye. "Now, I do believe that you owe me an apology. If you had simply just apologized to me, none of this-" she wildly swung her arms between him and her, "-would have happened. We both could've gone on our merry way and I could've still been in-line for my food, and you could've been doing whatever it was that you came here to do- eat, play games, smell the flowers- I have no idea. Well?" she prompted, a small smile playing at her lips. "What do you have to say for yourself?" Sachiko felt like she was some sort of teacher, trying to sort out an argument between two childish little kids- but that's what they were- children, and children tended to be... well, childish.
As Sachiko awaited the guy's answer, the light rain continued to pour down, but at this point, she didn't really care. If she had not thought to bring an umbrella, then, that was on her. She hated to admit it, but she should have thought twice about the weather and brought something to cover herself so that she wouldn't get wet. She was expecting the rain to turn into more steady, but not quite that heavy rain, so, she thought that after the festival, she should just take off her geta and run home before she got completely and utterly soaked to the bone. As of right now, her hair was sprinkled with water droplets, some droplets falling off of the stray hairs that framed her face. Her kimono felt not exactly sticky, but more like it could stick to her body sometime in the next hour or so. The sleeves were miraculously not that wet, and, for a majority of it, the inside of her kimono was not wet. However, she knew not to lay all her eggs in one basket and rely on the weather to clear up. She had to be ready for the worst.
Sachiko's mind drifted back to the guy in-front of her, her thoughts wondering as to who he was. She hadn't seen him around before, and she was absolutely positive that he didn't go to her school. He looked around her age, maybe older, she had concluded earlier, and she knew practically everyone who was in her grade. She hadn't seen him around town, either, and he didn't live in her general neighbourhood. What, was he a transfer student of sorts? Was he just visiting from another place in Japan for the festival? It was odd, though, because the Hanami festival happened everywhere. Maybe he was visiting relatives, or taking a break from school? The possibilities were endless as Sachiko blinked a couple of times, resuming her attention back to the conversation at hand.
In the meantime, her stomach growled quite loudly, and she blushed just the slightest, nearly not letting it faze her. It totally ruined the mood, too, because she was trying to teach the guy in-front of her a lesson, but her rumbling stomach just made the whole situation comedic. She inwardly groaned, pressing a light hand to her stomach before shaking her head, trying to ignore her hungry disposition. She'd go get food in a bit. She just hoped that the guy that she had asked to save her spot was still saving it for her!

(( At-last! A little longer than my previous few Posts, yay ! Still shorter than I'd like, but eh. jndflds hope that it's alright! ))

komatsuzaki
kazumi
● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ●
name;  kazumi komatsuzaki.
nickname;  none has been give to her.
age; seventeen years old.
gender; she identifies as a female.
orientation; perhaps panromantic asexual.
role; she is a second year high school student.
origin; from the akihabara district in tokyo.
likes; sweet things, sour and spicy things, the rain and puzzles.
appearance; kazumi has light brown hair that ends just above her shoulder blades. her hair is always groomed in such a manner that is not flashy nor messy. it is very light and the ends of her hair always curl slightly at the end. she has light brown eyes that appear to have dark circles under them, if you looked close enough. her skin is pale but not so that she could be mistaken for part of the snow but it burns quite easily. the high schooler smiles as often as a student such as herself should, but the ends of her lips only tilt slightly, allowing her to give a soft smile that you can see everywhere else in the world. her height is around five foot four and her weight around forty five kilograms.
personality; despite not having dark hair like others of her age, kazumi still is not considered someone special. than again she is also not someone who blends into the background and ignored by the rest of her peers. she is not a class clown that yells about and makes jokes to spite the homeroom teacher and she is also not a beauty queen that always keeps up with the latest fashions. kazumi is reasonably smart and has higher than average grades. however not she may seem like it, the girl took kendo in middle school, and was reasonably good at it. she is the type of girl that can be bright and optimistic but is emphasizes this when her friends are around. even though she will help when needed and will go out with her friends when they ask her, she prefers to be alone and not waste her energy on some of the crazy ideas her friends make her do. kazumi may seem like a coward but the only thing she wants to do is not attract attention. she is always in the middle of any rankings or tiers but tries to never be in the middle of any conflicts, but she gets into them anyway and ends up trying to help the situation. because of this attitude towards life, her parents safely assume that their daughter does not accept change very easily. they think that she would not be the type of girl to fool around with boys or get into trouble with the yakuza and they most definitely think that out of all things, she would not be involved with gods and yokai.
past; kazumi has gone through what most normal side character families go through. they live their life happily in one neighbourhood and no one they know ever dies or gets into any serious accidents. if anyone is ill it is not fatal nor life threatening and usually happens to be only the common cold. the most exciting things that happen in their lives is probably that a friend started dating someone or perhaps nasty rumors spread through the school about ghosts haunting the old school grounds and they try to investigate only to find nothing. kazumi's family is neither rich nor poor and they go have been going through life easily without any 8 million yen vase debts or any other financial troubles. kazumi's life so far could be considered boring, which it probably is, or she could be considered extremely lucky. well, lucky enough till her father left them. now she only lives with her mother, minami koratsuzaki, in a large house in which her mother supports all by herself. the only big change in her life was her father leaving, and she does not want anymore surprises and does not want to be driven off her highway of "maximum level normal life."
other; the averagest of average.
credits; nanami momozono from kamisama hajimemashita.

heck me this looks bad but i really wanted to get started. maybe i'll fix it up later??
also can i get a few sentences on what's going on right now?? maybe??? or should i just read everyone's posts?

Soushi watched the girl in front of him, so he had walked into that trap, right into it in fact. Oh well, his wit was quick and unwavering. The little grin on his face returned as he listened to her argument and she gave him the perfect opportunity for a cheeky response, honestly, what sort of daft question was that? "Me? Certainly not sorry, if you're so stupid as to stand around and let someone walk into you, then it's half, if not all your fault!" he crowed with a light in his eyes that suggested he was very much enjoying the confrontation.

He then made a point of putting his hands into his pockets and shaking his coat around his thin frame, smirking once more as though he was trying to prove he was smarter than her because he'd brought a coat. Sure he probably looked intolerant or uncultured since it was supposed to be a traditional thing, but he enjoyed the irony that a being such as he would have the gall to turn up as he did. It wasn't like he had anyone to impress. He knew at the end of today, just like everyday when he was done here he'd go back to his human house, and 'sleep' in his human bed.

He suddenly whipped his head around and narrowed his eyes when someone not so far away from the pain answered their phone and for a moment he was distracted and tilted his head like a confused puppy. Blinking himself back into existence before his eyes could show any signs of him being more than human he turned his attention back to the small girl in front of him "Look, I'm busy and as much as I'd like to stay here chatting with some kid all night, but I have places to be, and you really should fill that stomach of yours before it starts to digest itself." He remarked. Oh yes, of course he'd heart it, it was loud enough to blow down the stalls around him.

[hey, can you smile?] tenken, post three

Postby celestiaa » Mon Mar 03, 2014 8:09 am

[[ @ jade: we have a discussion thread here that you can use for future reference, but i'd be happy to give a recap for you! uvu
so all the characters have gathered at the hanami festival, which is pretty much a cherry-blossom watching event to celebrate good harvest/prosperity etc. etc.

risako's spectating tenken and yoshina's verbal battle with her shinki, rei, and sachiko and soushi are also duking it out. if i'm not mistaken seijuro/isamu are sitting together, having just met. everybody else - that would be aithne, kemuri, and drakul - are all open.

the plot that we're moving in the direction of right now is outlined on the second post of the fifth page on the discussion thread; you can read more about it there. hope this helped! you can post on the discussion thread if you've got any more questions, i suppose. c:

side note: about my post, in which tenken is a drama queen.
@ dragonair: i'm so so sorry if tenken seems like a huge butt in this post - i definitely don't mean it personally. i love your character and she's super sweet, but i guess i needed to justify/explain tenken's fears in order to further the plot? uvu ]]

tenken is the deity of destruction
and the god of war, with a running
dislike for humans and a personality
so convoluted that it would take you
        10 lifetimes to understand him.

        tagged : yoshina [dragonair],
        everybody! [everybody]

        xxxxxxxxxxxx

that was it - that was exactly why tenken loathed these new gods who were shamefully ignorant of everything that went on in the world, who thought they could get away with saying whatever they wanted. as the god of war he had seen suffering and carnage more terrible than anything this child could ever imagine, and for her to address him in such an insolent manner was more insulting than anything he'd ever experienced before. there was a time when he was once feared and loved and hated - had he really stooped so low that even his name had been forgotten? it was insulting and infuriating and tenken had tried, before, to ignore the crumbling of his shrine and the waning of his power, but there was no way he would let this up-jumped girl - the god of pretty clovers, no less - challenge his position. if she had the gall to stand up to a god who'd once stood at the crown of the universe, she would face the consequences.

there was a black rage spreading through tenken, dark and ominous, a power that his human vessel could not contain. it washed through the area like a chemical, an energy that sapped one's strength and blackened the petals of the cherry blossoms. a pair of humans passing by stumbled to the ground jerkily, eyes widening in surprise. tenken took another step forward and stood over her, eyes burning with a cold fury. if she had been a human, he would have made her wallow in despair and terror and watched her suffer from the weight of his power, but she, too, was a god, and had a certain immunity to his abilities. "do you honestly think your luck will save you now?" tenken asked, and his voice was like a whip, sharp and volatile and deadly. he stepped even closer to her, crushing a four-leaf clover underfoot. "watch your mouth, pup."

he could feel aithne tensing up behind him, but he paid her no notice - she knew better than to get in his way. "do you know who i am?" he said quietly, locking eyes with the god of luck. "my jurisdiction is that encompassing chaos and destruction - any war or conflict is under my rule. my name was given to me five millenia before you or your predecessor even existed - if i were you, i would think twice about addressing me with such impertinence."

it was bitterness that fueled his anger, the same bitterness that had been eating away at his well-being for the last century, the feeling of impending doom that had been sitting on his shoulders like a heavy weight. he was being dragged into the void, and it frightened and angered him that death - the same death that had claimed so many insignificant human lives as he watched on - was coming to take his life, too.

Sachiko Kobayashi

"THE POPULAR"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Age: Seventeen years old | Human | Mood: Angered | Currently: At the Hanami Festival

Sachiko's jaw dropped, her eyes blinking as she couldn't believe what she was hearing. Did this guy, who didn't even know her, call her "stupid"? That was it! Her eyes glowed with a fiery anger that anyone who came near her would know to not mess with her. Around her, an aura of fire could be imagined when looking at the small girl, which could definitely be terrifying as she could be plenty feisty without anyone realizing it. People just automatically assumed that since she was little, and had this face that looked like a twelve-year old's, she wouldn't hurt a flea. Ha! She'd like for people to take a second glance at her. Sure, she was little, but she could be mighty. And she'd stand up to the... to the insulter before her! The boy continued to smirk, as if he didn't care at all about the words that were spewing out of her perfect mouth. Well, Sachiko would definitely be teaching him a lesson. She'd wipe that silly smirk off of his face.
She ignored his odd behaviour during that split second when he had swivelled his head around so fast that she was surprised that he didn't receive whiplash, his eyes narrowing for a split second. Stomping up to him once he turned around, she grabbed his arm and quickly swung him around. "'Kid'! 'Stupid'!' she repeated, her eyes sending him the message that she was not through with him. "Well, excuse me, Mr. Important Man." She found herself blushing as he mentioned her growling stomach, but she quickly shook it off, placing her hands back on her hips. "You can't just call me those names and then walk away with that... that smirk on your face!" she huffed, getting all worked up .Oh, yeah. She'd definitely give him a good talking to. She stomped right up to him similar as to before, so that there was the smallest ounce of space between the two of them. "I wouldn't have such a growling stomach if I hadn't ran after you to ask you to apologize to me! If you had apologized, none of this would have happened! We could've been on our merry way, doing our own little things. Just because you think that you're a... a higher person than me, doesn't give you the right to talk down to me! I do have feelings, you know, and I'm not some twelve-year old 'kid'. I'm a seventeen-year old, so get your facts straight!" She took a breath, and continued to ramble on, her cheeks flushed with lack of breath. "Sure, I may look like I'm small, but I'd rather look little than look like a towering giant that you are! Hmph!" She crossed her arms. "Fine, fine, you may look like you're seventeen years old and probably have girls flouncing all over you, but I think that you've got the personality of a five-year old and the smugness of a typical teenager." She nodded her head firmly once, as if to annunciate her point. She hadn't quite realized that she had both complimented him and insulted him at the same time.
She breathed in and out, her chest heaving after argued intensely her side of the argument. She was sure that he'd probably lash back at her, and, quite frankly, she was curious to see what he had to say to her long rant throughout her anger.

Soushi seemed almost, almost taken aback by her sudden outburst, such fire for a human and he found himself mentally commending her on such vigor. Though at the same time, her youthful appearance and (What was to him) Minor experience of the world made such an uproar to seem akin to a bratty little strop. It was almost frightening, but adorable at the same time.Wait? Adorable? He couldn't remember the last time he'd thought that about another being, other than himself of course.

He hadn't missed that back handed compliment either, it was sort of nice to know this form, -as demanding and time consuming as it was- was one that humans seemed to find visually pleasing. It was always nice to know you looked good, no matter your species. His eyes then moved to the way her chest was pulling and the expression on her face. Keen eyes assessed her quietly until finally he allowed the smirk to drop from his lips. He was taking her seriously now, and his own expression showed it. This wasn't some petty fight to him any more and he was starting to see her as something other than a brainless, typical human. This little thing had intrigued him, she was eloquent even in speech. He leaned down a little bit to be on her eye level, continuing to remain silent as he examined her closely, no doubt looking quite strange and stepping well into her personal bubble.

A new smile creased his features, a more genuine, bright and happy one the flashed his teeth in the most innocent of ways. he wasn't about to snap back at her, and in all honesty he couldn't think of a good enough response to that, she'd got him good and there was nothing to be done about that. "Alright, You got me, I have nothing to say!" He chirped, attitude totally changed from the way it was just moments ago. "You're very interesting, you people, We should bicker again sometime, make sure you feed yourself will you?" he suggested as he turned to leave her, looking back at her in case she had something more to say. He was fully aware he still hadn't apologized, and he was stubborn, and had no intention of doing so at all. He didn't realise he'd said 'people' though until it was already out there, though he presumed she thought he was from out of town anyways, he'd certainly never seen her before.
