Golden eyes faintly shifted to and from the sky to Rei, flickering with the movement of the clouds. The grey glum spreading across the sky screamed out threats of a storm, and naturally, there would be an occasional 'flare' in her eyes in response. But it was only habitual; even if she, so long ago, learned how to control all her catastrophic powers, the ambience around her still whispered with the identity of the lightning god.
"It might've not been the best idea," the deity agreed, "But it doesn't change the fact that the shrine I have here is already falling apart by it's beams." She paused, her jaw line becoming stiff as that impractical thought of 'what am I going to do?' came rushing back to mind. Muttering a curse under her breathe, she put a hand to her forehead to cover her eyes for a spare second. What was she even doing, imprudently marching off to Hanami as if all the clocks all over the world counted off time for solely her alone?
But there was nothing she could do about it now; perhaps if she looked at the whole problem through Rei's eyes, she'd think some other way. Like 'perhaps fading away with pleasurable memories is better than fading away with none...'
No--that just wasn't her. Whether it was two days or two seconds, she'd fight for everything she could get.
While she was dawdling on her reluctant thoughts, she could feel the presence of Tenken creeping up. And by the time she finally spotted him, he seemed to have seen her as well; two fingers pressed together and lips twisted for only a split second, he gave her the briefest of greetings. Seems like he's around once again, she thought, returning a quick wave.
Being the god of storms, she had history with Tenken--peculiar history, actually. Long story short, the two had been in an obscure romantic relationship for a while. But what could you have expected from two deadly gods in the adolescence of their days? Of course, there had been the whole issue with his time to time disappearances, so she had called it off in the end.
Now, the two were simply the finest gossiping duo throughout the modern century.
"Seems like I wasn't the only deity who decided to come to Hanami this year," she said to Rei as she rose from where she sat, approaching the two other gods who seemed on the verge of a verbal quarrel.
"You have a follower?" Risako called over to Tenken as she gave a quick nod to Yoshina, a short acknowledgement to her presence. Newer gods didn't bug her as much as they did to Tenken-- she was acquainted with most of them, but she just didn't fully accept them.
Though that didn't stop her when it came to seeing what would be unfolding between the two.
In fact, she was beginning to have a quaint feeling that something would happen today, and it wouldn't blow over quickly.
