Pride

Pride sat there, bewildered. He couldn't take it anymore. He had to interrupt the pair talking somehow. His tail lashed anxiously and his ears flicked from side to side. He walked over to them and sat down. He had to stop himself for growling at the male. "Hi, Echo!" He said casually, his tone laced with anxiety.

Destiny

Destiny smiled at the tom cat. "You've never played any games when you were a kit?" She gasped. She always played games with her parents. That is...until they died. She cringed at this memory.

Cartoon shook his head softly. "I don't think I've ever played a game." He looked very confused, he wasn't sure he knew how to play a game. He had learned how to play tricks, but never games.

Destiny

Destiny sighed. Thinking about her parent's violent death ripped open a wound in her heart. "I always enjoyed games," she continued, "That is..until my parents died." She said sadly.

Cartoon frowned. "I'm sorry." He didn't know what to say. "I was abandoned, but I guess never knowing them is easier than losing them." He shrugged, showing no sadness in his eyes. He may have once wondered why they abandoned him, but he had never shown sadness or pity on himself.

Destiny

Destiny did not want to feel sad. She tried to shake the feeling out of her, knowing that same thing happened to scores of other cats. She just couldn't. She tried to act confidant and loved to please other cats, but she was so bruised inside that she let the sadness take over. She liked this tom's animated personality and hoped she could find a friend in him, even though she realized that was probably to much to ask for a cat she just met and she wasn't positive she could trust. Ditching the idea of playing a game, she sat down and began grooming her long fur, for it became matted.

Cartoon had recognized that look in her eyes. He sat next to Destiny and let their fur touch in comfort. The male looked at the ground, lost in thought.

Destiny

Destiny purred quietly with the male by her side. She flicked her ears and yawned. She realized that Emma was probably wondering where she was, but she wanted to stay here for a while.

Prowess

Prowess remembered the kit's instructions to that shop with the name she couldn't pronounce. "Where do you want to go?" She asked Adrien, out of ideas.

Cartoon yawned a heartbeat later than Destiny, as if he'd caught a contagious illness. He laughed quietly at their yawns. The male looked at Destiny and spoke hesitantly, "Would you like to be friends?"

Destiny smiled. "Sure I'd like to be friends!" She purred, knowing that if they had each other things would be better.
