Breed Details:
Jefferson Starships are diurnal lowland equine creatures, only recently discovered in an extremely remote location. In order to protect the species, we will not specify where they are located. When a Starship arrives for adoption, possible owners can either try to bribe the one who brought the Starship here, or they could write a form in order to try and win the Starship. If whoever captured the Starship specifies a different way to adopt, you must make sure to include whatever is specified. You may adopt one Starship a month, and may breed to get a Starship once per month as well.
They are herbivores, and a large part of their diet is berries. Starships will consume half their weight in berries every day, so if you do not have the resources or dedication in order to take care of a Starship I suggest you leave now.
Starships commonly weigh between 800 and 1000 kg, or 1500 to 2200 pounds (a loose equivalent). They stand 16 to 20 hh, and are quite capable of seriously injuring a rider. Every Starship has a pair of bird-like wings, a set of kudu-like horns, and a tail that much resembles that of a raccoon or red panda in structure.
All Starships have a natural base color, and most have an unnatural marking color. Starships come in all regular equine coat patterns, including appaloosa and chimera. Their wings often match their coat color, as well as their tails. The horns range in color. Almost all starships have a sigil or phrase in their design, with markless Starships being very rare. Below we have assembles a list for the rarity of the different sigils or phrases, according to their language.
Almost Impossible to Find - Enochian
Extremely Rare - Gallifreyan
Very Rare - Eastern Asian
Very Rare - Markless
Rare - Cherokee
Rare - Scandinavian
Uncommon - Inuit
Uncommon - Egyptian
Uncommon - Cuneiform

Due to how hard some Starships are to find, we have placed a limit on how many you may own of a certain marking.
You may own
ONE Enochian Starship.
You may own
ONE Gallifreyan Starships.
You may own
TWO Eastern Asian Starships, and
TWO Markless Starships.
You may own
THREE Cherokee Starships, and
THREE Scandinavian Starships.
You may own
UNLIMITED Inuit, Egyptian, Cuneiform, Morse Code, or Nonsense Starships.
Each Starship may only breed five times.
When a Jefferson Starship finds a mate, they become mates for life. The Starships will never breed with any other besides their mate. Twins are extremely rare for a Starship, but not completely unheard of. A Starship will only mate in captivity after it has been situated for two weeks.
Starships are extremely hard to tame, so if you want one you will have to work hard and earn it. Even after you earn it, a Starship will not allow anyone onto its back unless thoroughly tamed. In order to register your Starship for riding, you must PM either Jayjay's-Pie or Bentley with reasons why your Starship would trust you. A list of all registered Starships can be found here.
