Species Background
Tuleos, nicknamed Meadow Lions for obvious reasons, are rather odd creatures that resemble short lions with flowers on the top of their long tails. They're roughly the size of a small dog and live in the secluded and enclosed off areas of the world where tall grass and flowers dominates the landscape. They're not at the top of the food chain like their Lion cousins, but rather are terrorized by the giant birds who dominate the sky. Tuleos, its environment, and the birds that eat them are highly endangered, so few people own them as pets. A Tuleos' diet is composed mostly of butterflies, and the creatures are notoriously timid. The slightest sound can set them running.

Occasionally, Tuleos will be found wandering out of their overpopulated native habitat in search of food. When this happens, they are caught and then given away to the public for free. Others are confiscated from neglectful zoos or rescued from criminals who had been planning to sell them on the black market. They are given away at a first-come-first-serve policy.

-When breeding with someone else's Tuleo, I need to have proof that you have their permission. Who pays or if the price is split is up to you.


For the sake of being complicated, I'm going to make this complicated.
Every Tuleo has DNA, of course. It's only natural.
When breeding, punnett squares will be used to determine the likelihood of getting a certain mutation.
Flower tails are dominant genes, while every other kind is recessive, and so every other kind is harder to find.
Tail DNA is given to every Tuleo, although unless the owner checks using the laboratory, what DNA it has is unknown to them.
Essentially, if the Tuleo has FF, it can only produce flower tail offspring. If it's Ff, there's a possibility that if it's bred to another with a lower case f, it will produce an offspring with a mutated tail (ff).
