I'm just trying to do a bit of fur and muscle definition work, so tips on that would be helpful. C: The ears look kinda wonky to me so if you have suggestions for those too that'd be great!

Haestine&&Winga: That looks really nice! I admire your anatomy skills, and the shadows and lighting on its stomach look really good to me. C:

Capone: I think that's a really nice first attempt at shading! Maybe try to add lighter shading in other areas for more definition?

Veins of Opal: That looks so good! I think adding pinks to the skin did help, it looks really nice and gives it a more realistic hue. C:

PFDC: Your art is looking really nice, on the running wolf I think the paws look a bit too curvy and not so much like joints, but it could just be me. P: The background looks neat on that one, too!

Tiny doodles: I love your style, it looks so lovely!

Veins of Opal - oh cool, a Fae from Kingdom of Amalur! Very nice, your painting is really good. For colour, I am wondering if adding a bit of the purplish or a bluish colour for the shadows might look good, your shadows look rather blackish thus far. For the hair, try lots of thin brush strokes or downloading a brush for hair to get a more realistic look there. But overall he looks really great x3

Capone - Nice and fluffy, and he looks very happy! The paws on the left side of the picture look like they are bent backwards though, they should be facing the other way or more towards the viewer. The shading looks nice, you might like to add a bit under the neck perhaps, on the chest to emphasise all that wonderful fluff, and a bit more on the back legs too, but overall it looks really nice c:

H&W - Impressive picture! Very nice. With the wings, the lines look a bit wobbly; the body linework looks much better by comparison. It looks like you worked very hard on the body but were tired by the time you got to the wings? You put a lot more shading on the body than the wings too. Anyway your picture looks really nice overall ^.^

4dogowner - Really nice dog! Very cool. One thing that stands out is that it looks like he has a lot fluffier cheek on his left side (our right as we face him) than the other side. Anyway he looks great, will you colour him? He's very nice c:

I've decided to make the Dewi lines in Photoshop since I really don't like oekaki, so this is what I've sketched out for the base lines. Any tips or redlines? Particularly with the paws, they look kind of off to me. This is what they are based off.

Oh gosh Solloby, thank you for pointing that out. XD It looks like I was stuck in between making it longhaired and normal. XD I'm really not sure what I'm going to do with it, usually I use my more realistic drawings for my DARPG kennel dogs and stick to cartoonish for my normal charries, but that body type doesn't really fit my German Shepherds(looks more male to me and right now I only have females)so I dunno what I'll do with it. XP

I'm new to The Artist Army xP

And I obviously would like some...advice, i started doing some animations but i'm new to the whole animating in GIMP thing, so just some advice on how it turned out? it's just a bouncy/floaty/whatever you call it~



If you don't know what the character is, it's a Youtubers character, the youtuber is name Cry, or Cryaotic and this is his character, the 'Sup guy, and he was recently playing L4D4 and this came into place~

@Sasha~Chibi: Welcome! In the future please remember to comment on others' artwork before posting your own. Your pixel looks very cute! (though you might want to link it with a warning for guns instead of actually posting the image? but i'm not sure i don't know what the rules on weapons are on cs)

@Solloby: pinkline for you! hopefully you can read it. i think that the pose you had the furthest back foot in in the lighter grey sketch would be better that the pose you have now, but again showing a little bit of the furthest claw! other than that the redline should explain itself c:

The back paws only have 2 claws on them, though the front paws are only supposed to have 3 but I added the extra one because I thought it would be helpful for them to have opposable thumbs; I'm now thinking I should remove and resketch the front paws so they are more like the original lines. I prefer the grey lined pose but was having trouble sketching them that way, I think I'll give it another go though x3 Thank you so much for your help!

I downloaded it from the website, its soooo amazing, I am using it to make an animation currently, trust me its awesome, it is similar to the Java that CS use, but in ways it better, in ways it not so good, it hasn't got smoothing but it has normally smooth lines, you get used to it Gonna stop now before I attack you with a giant wall of text *Wall of Text be like "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!"*
