Nope, not yet at least. Currently beans may only breed 3 times.

If you adopt a NB that was put up for adoption [not an orphan] does it fill your baby slot?

Adopted NB would go to your nursery slot.
That, however, doesn't mean you can only own one NB, as all other NBs will fill the regular slot (if that's what you're concerning about).
