Name You'd Choose for It: Romney, Origin: Welsh. Meaning: from the broad river.

Gender: Male

Reason You Want It: I think he'd make a good friend for my character Iria. He's also got a cute color scheme and he's well, a kiwi, and they're just utterly adorable. Also, I've kinda got this idea of a voice for him. He's kind of got this milk chocolate voice, which I hear every time I scroll past him. It's like he calling out to me saying, "Hey! I'm Romney! How's it goin'?" Not really a rich, dark chocolate voice, but a nice mezzo-tenor.

History/Background/Other: Romney took a step outside his home and walked around his habitat, eating some seeds that were on the ground. Looking up to the moon, he wondered why it wasn't out tonight, because it was supposed to be a full moon. Suddenly, a large winged horse flew down and landed several yards from him. Quickly running back to the safety of his front door, he looked towards the pegasus. He had never seen one close up before, and in such bright colors, such like himself. He waddled away from his door to get a closer look.

"Who are you?" he looked up to the peagasus. His eyes widened in wonder. She looked down and neighed brightly.

"I'm Iria. I give rainbows to different waterfalls, lakes, rivers and other water sources. Who are you?" Iria happily stamped the ground with her front hooves. She looked at the mostly black creature before her.

"I'm Romney. Nice to meet you. That's very interesting. I've never heard of something like that. How does it work?" Romney waddled a little more towards Iria. He looked at her multi-colored wings, wondering if her rainbows came from her wings.

"It's a kind of magic my kind has. It's hard to explain to someone who's never seen rainbows given," she explained. She was still learning the process herself, so it was hard to explain it to someone who had no idea that such things needed to be done.

"Oh, okay. So, you give the rainbows to the small creek that runs into the ocean?' Romney asked, generally curious.

"Yes, that is where I am going right now," Iria turned in the direction of the creek Romney had mentioned. "I would invite you along, but there are other places I need to visit here." Her eyes smiled. "Maybe I'll see you again someday."

Romney nodded, "Yeah! I hope you do!" Romney waddled away so she could take off. She seemed very nice.

"Well, see ya!" she flew off towards the creek. Romney watched her go, waiting for when he would see her again.

Name You'd Choose for It: Elizabeth (Lizzy for short)
Gender: Female
Reason You Want It: Normally I don't do too many adoptions, not because I have anything against them, but because I only like to keep a few characters. But when I saw her I just fell in love <3 I love cats but I don't already have a cat character. Species doesn't matter with my characters though, who are a platypus and a bison and a salamander bus and all best friends. She would fit right in.
History/Background/Other: By her friends, Elizabeth is known as the "fireball." She's always ready to go, take action, anything for adventure. Which is how she ended up here in the first place. Lizzy had originally been a house cat, which as a kitten was a perfect life for her with the family kids young enough to give her constant attention during playtime. But as school began to increasingly consume the time of the kids, she was left with more and more time with nothing to do. With only so many pretend back yard games to entertain herself, her desire to explore the outside world grew with each day. Her first big expedition was into what she thought were a great woods behind the house, only to find it was less than a day's walk to the other side, where stood a similar house. The east and west were no good; the houses there seemed to span on forever. Returning to her first home, Elizabeth decided more planning was necessary. She needed to learn basic hunting skills and perfect her climbing technique, not to mention find a way to evade humans when needed, which was difficult as a ginger tabby. Climbing seemed to her the easiest to work on, so she used trees in the back yard of varying heights as well as the abandoned jungle gym from the kids' preschool days. Catching wild food proved to be easier for her than expected, although it thoroughly disgusted the humans at home. Finally, she practiced her stealth and evasion during her miniature exploring missions in and out of the neighborhood and town.
It was a difficult choice for Elizabeth to leave. The humans at her home had never been bad to her, and there was something comforting in having a warm bed, cat food, and a water dish to always count on. Nonetheless, she realized without the company of friends and some kind of purpose, she could never really be happy in her suburban home. And so, Elizabeth made up her mind an left.
About a year or so past with Elizabeth on the road. She was finally free and incredibly happy for it. Her preferred travel route of thumb was the more rural the better, but she also enjoyed a town or two along the way where she was treated as a loveable stray and given plenty of food from the locals. Her favorite by far was a wide expanse of farmland where she met all sorts of different animals and had plenty of space to roam where she wished. In her mind, Elizabeth decided that this would be the type of place she might eventually settle down to. After all, she did eventually want permanent friends.
That is when Elizabeth's road leads her to Myself and my characters. They live in the valley of a chain of great mountains, a few miles from an expansive lake. The valleys are huge and generally unpopulated, but if Elizabeth so chooses to spend her day with (my character) Mini, there is some chance of human contact.
Hopefully, she will be able to call this home.

As I'm new to adopting from here, I have a newbie question: should I draw her? I was of course planning to, but I didn't know if I was allowed to unless I successfully adopted her.

-edit- done! crossing my fingers - this is my first adoption try from the agency, so I hope everything is ok. time to scroll through the pages to see how I'll know weather I got her or not.
