ARCAII'S CLAN AND TERRITORY REVIEW!

Oh snap! It just keeps happening. So, this is Arcaii here today with a much bigger challenge: Clan and Territory reviews! Apparently I just wasn't busy enough with reviewing cats, right?

Reviews will be out of 10. You can send in up to 4 full Clans at a time. If you have extras, you'll have to submit them in separately. (This is for my sanity more than yours.) I will try to be prompt and thorough in my reviews. Unlike the cat naming system I employ in my other thread, there is no actual system for Clan naming and creation, so this will all be my own "rules" and opinions. This may change over time, but who knows.

Now for the disclaimer: I will always give reasons as to why I gave that number in a review. If my review makes you upset, please try to be civil on the thread. Message me privately if you're really bothered, and we can talk about it. This does not mean I will change my review, this is just so things aren't completely sour between us.

There are two apps you can send in: Basic and Detailed. Basic is a short, quick sheet with the most important stuff on it, and Detailed, of course, is for if you have the time to give me more information.

Just so you know, when I ask for the reputation/personality, I mean how they treat other Clans, how quick they are to start a fight, etc. Average Clan Member means what a regular cat would look like if they were Clan-born (would they be lithe, or brown, or have smooth fur, or if it's just a mishmash of cats from all corners).

Average Clan Member: Average clan cat in SunClan is a decent hunter and is very loyal./ TreeClan cats are confident and want to make there clan have power.
Important Notes: (Cut to decrease space-taking of post. Don't worry, I looked over the pictures carefully)

SunClan
Name Rating: 6/10
Name Reasoning: I never personally subscribed to the whole "naming a Clan after its founder" thing. The reason is because cats, even founders, are very temporary beings. They're only around for so long, and long after they're gone the Clan will still exist. It's kind of like defacing a public wall - now everyone knows that "Jack was here", but who is Jack? Why should we care who he was?
Meanwhile, the territory doesn't look sunny at all. Cats from the outside won't know that the founder's name was Sun - all they'll see is a forest, not a sunny hill or something similar. A Clan's name needs to mark out who they are, and where they live. That's the purpose of a name in the warrior cat world, to show what kind of cat you are or what kind of Clan you live in.
And finally, the sun, moon and stars are sacred things for warriors. The stars are for StarClan, the moon is their way of communication, and the sun is a mark of time and a celestial body. Naming your Clan MoonClan or SunClan is putting yourself at the same level as StarClan, which is incredibly arrogant.
Alternative Name: OakClan. They are in an oak forest, after all, and they ought to be named for their territory.

Clan Rating: 5/10
Clan Reasoning: A basic requirement is to be loyal and brave if you're a warrior. Without that, you don't belong in a Clan. Along with that, being confident is also a necessity. Without that, you can't defend your territory or your prey. Being balanced is fine, but there should be some deviation if they have a neighboring Clan - differences in beliefs, tactics and behaviors are what separates one from another, after all.
I want to add something about the territory, and that's that oak trees are big. Really really big. The majority of oak trees I've seen are little clusters with grassland in between. They can be in forests, but do mind exactly how large these trees are, and how that affects the cats.
Suggestions: Focus on the size of these trees, and what kind of prey is there. Cats who spend a lot of time hunting or climbing will be lean and agile, with short fur to keep from getting it tangled. They're likely to be good at sneaking around, and prefer to be higher up in the trees so they can see what's going on. Maybe they don't fight too much, but they have muscle built up from years of climbing. They could be a little pious, claiming that they are closer to StarClan because they're always high in the trees.

TreeClan
Name Rating: 5/10
Name Reasoning: As well as what's been stated about naming cats after founders, both Clans are in tree territory. Both of them. I don't think I have anything else to really say, so let's just do the name suggestion.
Alternative Name: PineClan. They live in a pine forest, and that's a lot more fitting.

Clan Rating: 6/10
Clan Reasoning: The main problem I have is the basic description of the cats. Cats who spend a lot of time fighting are bound to be huge, not scrawny. They would probably be able to bring down bigger prey, such as large birds or rabbits, and that would definitely keep the Clan healthy.
I'll just quickly rehash what I said about SunClan: any Clan cat wants to be secure (powerful), brave and loyal. Just like being a decent human being, it's a basic requirement of the world. You don't get a reward for wanting your Clan to be strong and healthy.
Suggestions: I would make them big cats, like I said earlier, that take down bit prey. They probably gloat about being able to scare off foxes and badgers, and maybe be a little vain, too; keeping their fur groomed so they look extra good. They could lurk around the borders, watching for any trouble makers (read: any cat that happens to catch a squirrel a fox-length away from the border), and preen and pose to intimidate. Of course, outsiders would probably know them as "that one really vain troupe of cats", but who cares what loners think, just so long as they keep their paws away from Tree/PineClan?

[b]Clan Name:SpiritClan
[b]Territory: (This is what is like, Thunderclan and Riverclan combined

[b]Notable History: Most cats can't swim in Spiritclan as the creeks/rivers aren't very deep but they don't mind the water either.
[b]Unique Skills: Agile, moves quick, sort of like their invisible when their hunting or fighting.. Sort of...
[b]Reputation/Personality: Bad swimmer, agile or fast, sneaky, Noble, not to keen on fighting since they don't live near other cats and the only fights they usually have are with foxes and badgers even. Normally smaller cats with thinner pelt (normally) Their more calm than other clan cats
[b]Average Clan Member: Smaller cats with normally thinner pelts. A lot of the cats are silver and white and brown some are tabby too
important Notes: A unique connection to StarClan.

Name Rating: 5/10
Name Reasoning: See, here's the thing that ranks it so low: No matter how close a Clan is with StarClan, naming themselves something that's so spiritual (see what I did there?) is basically saying "I am at equal level with my ancestors, if not better than them". These cats have a nice big territory to be named after; why try to anger the spirits (I DID IT AGAIN HAHAHA) with a name like that?
Alternative Name: CreekClan/StreamClan/BrookClan. While they may not have deep waters, they should be used to crossing mutliple streams/creeks in a single day, and that's worth a name. Brooks especially are more calm and subdued, which also serves as an alert to what kind of cats these are.

Clan Rating: 7/10
Clan Reasoning: They sound like a Clan known for solving things peacefully and making sure each party is happy in an argument - which is a very important aspect of Clan life that often gets ignored for the sake of fighting. If I'm correct, they don't have too many neighbors to fight with, so that would be a natural thing for them.
The territory sounds fine, too, but if there's a lot of creeks around, they would eventually swell and the cats would have to learn at least some minimal swimming. They don't need to have a strong affinity for water, but they need to know how to handle it.
The cats themselves are also pretty good. However, their pelts would probably be at least a little thick to protect them from the coldness of the water or the seasons.
Suggestions: Thicken the cats' pelts a little, and make them at least able to swim enough to save their lives in the case of an emergency - especially the kittens, who are small enough to drown. Other than that, they should be good to go.

Clan Name: Moonclan
Territory:
This is the general area that surrounds the camp: Image

Right near the entrance to the camp is a lovely waterfall with foliage surrounding it: Image

The elder's den is a tree protected by thick roots and the first tree Moon climbed when he found the campImage

Here is the Moonledge, where the leader stands as they share clan news and christian cats with their new titles: Image

The warrior's den is a huge hollowed out tree with plenty of room inside:Image

In a fern thicket lies the hidden nursery. As it lines the barrier of the camp, many mistake it for basic foliage:

The apprentice's den is actually a marigold bush, so the clan never runs out of the useful herb: Image

The medicine cat's den is a rock with many crevices in it that hold herbs and protect them from the elements:
Image

Near camp lies a steep drop into a gorge:
Image

The bottom of the gorge leads to the Moon Falls: Image

Notable History:
Image
Moon was a cat who felt sorry for cats who couldn't take care of themselves, or were banished from their homes. He took in cats with injuries, expecting and current queens, the elderly, and others who were not trusted. These cats grew to immensely respect Moon and protect him. In turn he thought up creative ideas to aid them. He would teach the injured how to fight with their disabilities, and thus created a few unique battle tactics. Moon was an expert in using trees to his advantage. Other cats would claim that there were two moons in the sky, as he would sit perched in trees. He did not consider themselves a clan until one attacked them. They worked together and eventually drove the enemy off. Moon passed at an old age, but not before insuring his clan to last forever, or at least a very long time.

The tale of Moon has been passed down elder by elder, and each kit learns and knows it by heart. Moonclan's faith in Starclan and the clan's inception is their legacy.

Unique Skills:
Moonclan cats excel in tree battle. They consider bird eggs a delicacy, as well as other avian. A little-known fact, these cats explore tunnels and will use them to cross enemy territory.

Reputation/Personality:
They are disliked by many as they accept any cat into their clan. Some clans support their efforts, but the fact that they are willing to allow rogues causes occasional conflict between them. The personality of Moonclan varies, but most have a positive, open outlook on life. They can tend to be slightly aggressive and sarcastic, more than usual of a clan.

Average Clan Member:
Moonclan-born cats tend to be slender and smaller than average. Most of them are grey scaled, but the rest are colorful. They are lithe and have powerful legs and strong claws for climbing. The ones who join Moonclan range from anything.

Important Notes:
Moonclan is one of the oldest clans of their land. The ones from before died out from various issues. Moonclan allowed a few of their survivors to join. The remaining cats refused shelter from Moonclan and framed their own clans, giving up on the ones they were bred in.

prefered prey:
The clan will hunt almost any bird, eggs, rodent, and fish.

Re: Warrior Cats Clan and Territory Reviewer

Alright, I'm just gunna set the review here, to save some space, ahaha. Thank you for letting me know the general location base of your Clan!

Name Rating: 6/10
Name Reasoning: Clans taking names after their founder is a little iffy, particularly because there's not going to be many cats who know why the Clan was named that (especially if the Clan is as old as this one is). A Clan name sets up a general idea of the Clan - where they live, and what kind of cats they might be.
Along with that, the moon is a sacred thing to all Clans, and no cat or Clan should be named after it. StarClan's named after things that are numerous and only appear at night. The moon is one singular, huge object, and the spirits' main way of showing approval or disapproval. To give anyone/anything that name is setting them on an equal level to StarClan, if not higher.
Alternative Name: TimberClan/ForestClan. The first I recommend more, because it does actually imply the Clan's territory and what they specialize in, and it's less overused than ForestClan.

Clan Rating: 10/10
Clan Reasoning: This Clan is very well thought out, and you've clearly put a lot of thought into it. If you were to make an Rp with this, I'd join in a heartbeat! They sound like a durable, strong Clan that will survive many generations.
Suggestions: None!
