Starry Plasmoids

It would be easier to name them if you could imagine something about them as a species. Where do they live? On the ground, in the sky, space? What do they eat, if they eat? How long do they live for, or are they immortal? How are they born or created? Etc.

And they live on a planet called Electrolite and they eat Star Fruit and small mammals and I think they live for hundreds of years, but they are not immortal. And there was a nuclear explosion in slab and thousands and thousands of them floated to the sky and onto Electrolite.
