Wʜᴇʀᴇ ʙᴜᴛ ᴛᴏ ʙᴇɢɪɴ...
Wonder Beasts (WB) are fascinating creatures, having been named appropriately so for their wondrous behaviors. They stand at about 60 cm tall at the shoulder, with a curled tail that, when extended, is longer than the length of their body. Their beaks can open to a full 120°, and they can produce an unbelievable variety of sounds; ranging from ear-splitting screams to inaudible rumbles. They live in groups called colonies, consisting of (normally) two to twenty individuals. Not all WBs are part of a colony, as many are loners that rove the lands alone.

Alas! There seems to be a small collection of papers here, each with an illustration and a small blurb about Wonder Beasts. Best read through it to learn more about these intriguing creatures...

All Wonder Beasts have wing-like markings on their shoulders, which can range from butterflies to birds to even ones that resemble dragon wings!
ʙᴇᴀᴋs?
Wonder Beasts have what you might call "beaks"; in reality, they're made of thick bone, covered in tough skin that feels remarkably like shark skin. They are capable of opening their "beaks" 120°, and they have immensely powerful jaws.
ᴇʏᴇs?
One varying factor of Wonder Beasts are their eyes; they can come in any shape, form or size, however, they don't have irises; instead, they have a single pupil with a white spot in the middle of it. The whites of their eyes can be either white, gray, or black (although white is the more common variety), and their pupil can come in any color (though it is rare for it to be any other color than black).
ᴛᴀɪʟs?
Wonder Beasts' tails are usually seen curled up, but when extended are longer than their bodies (but only by a couple inches). They're reptilian in appearance, and have the same texture and feel as their face. They use their tails for balance and defense, and is whip-like in the way they are used for attacking.
Diet wrote:
ᴅɪᴇᴛ?
Wonder Beasts are omnivores, though their diet generally consists of small to medium sized mammals, birds, insects, fruits, berries, and a few vegetables.
Relationships and Young wrote:
ᴍᴀᴛɪɴɢ?
Wonder Beasts mate for life, and are generally picky with whom they choose as their partner. Relationship problems can occur, and in the case of one happening, will more likely than not split apart. However, they can only have young with one mate once, so if they "break up" and choose a different mate, they can't have offspring if they've already had some with their first mate.
ɴᴇsᴛɪɴɢ?
Wonder Beasts' nest are found tucked away near tree hollows and the roots of protective bushes. They are made up of twigs, leaves and any other sort of soft material. Clutches consist of a maximum of two eggs, but it is more common to have only one egg.

Wonder Beasts are notorious for their amazing sound range. They can reach glass-breaking pitches, and thunderous rumbles. They have such a wide range of sounds that they have been able to successfully form their own language, and their calls can be heard from a staggering twenty miles away! They also use their voices to defend themselves and ward off predators and attackers.
