December 23,-- Today dad left, leaving me with Eakins and Olenka all alone. Me and my siblings tried to figure out why he left. We are heart broken. And later that day, we found mum's dead body in the basement of the old forgotten house with dads scent on it. We dont trust anyone but each other now.
"Servati.. its cold." Olenka whimpered, her tiny figure squirming tightly up against my flank. being the eldest was hard, and I told them that. "I know.. im sorry." I rasped, and placed my wet nose onto her forehead. Eakins was quiet.. snug under my leg. I curled around them, and I felt stiff from the air in the dead house. We didnt live with humans. And we didnt plan to. and sadly, it was the middle of December. And it was freezing cold.
Outside was pale, the sky was a dark mixed blue, and the stars seemed cold themselves. They gleamed in frost, and It only made me feel even more hollow then what I was. Now that I think of it, I wish dad regretted this. Im sick of this. Its lonely and cold here, and Olenka and Eakins will die with me here. No good. So now I thought Maybe we need to get moving into the city.
December 25,-- I took Olenka and Eakins with me down by a mile, and we made it to the edge of the city. It was warmer there, and I found us a place to stay till I find a good empty place withing the city to hide. I choose the side of a building, for there was food back there. Me, Olenka, and Eakins ate, our stomaches full. Now we wait till something else hits my mind.
I looked at my tiny siblings. They stared at me with hunger now. Our food area was gone for four days now, and we couldnt find anything in our little area. So it sent off a message that we needed to pick things up into moving along again. "sorry guys, we need to go again." I murmured, placing Eakins on my back, and picked up Olenka by the scruff. I felt Eakins clutch to me, and I wouldt blame him. Quietly, we skitted across the roads, and came to a long hard cement path. Ad It was murmuring me to follow it.
The city lights burned my eyes, and having faces of lone humans stare at me burned holes through my fur. It was scary enough to be alone with younger ones. But now, it felt worse.
My pads ached from the freezing hard ground, and I was loosing the feeling to my nose. Snow was falling soon enough, and my legs were shaking cold. "Y-You guys ok?" I murmured, avoiding bundles of snow on the ground. Olenka whimpered to me, and Eakins gave me a little snort of disgust in his freezing mouth. "Im sorry.." I murmured, and stopped for a second. It was so.. lonely. I went to far now. To far to go back.
Eakins started to cry, his claws softly pressing against my skin. I felt so bad.. And my
eye lashes her crusted with flakes of snow. It was time to stop, and sleep, and hope to see morning.
December 29,-- Today I saw the sun. Eakins was covered in snow when I set him down, and caught the fever. As if life gets better.
so me and Olenka kept him during the night, and now we ate the snow to fill our bare bellies. So now, we watch the humans, and wait for them to turn to a sparse intensity.
I heard Eakin's tummy rumble. "Sorry," I told him. I was guilty for this. It was written on my face.
The sun was high above the sky, and only warmed our fur. It couldnt heal my heart now. I looked out, and saw humans looking within a house, and sweet scents buffeted my face. "Stay under me,' I told both of them, and they walked beneath me. We waddled to the other side of the cement grounds, and the sweet scents grew better and better. And it was food.
Food never smelt so good.
All three of us raided the warm store. It was amazing actually. The humans freaked, and it was amusing to see them flail out of the store. We ate to our content, and we felt like we could for a little longer. Taking Eakins's scruff now, I let Olenka climb up, and I we left the store with out scents over it.
December 31,-- we found a home! Its in the east side of the city. And its beside a warm building. Its called the power Generator house, and inside are machines. It radiates heat, ad Me and my siblings could feel it. Luckily enough, we were close to the shop we raided yesterday, so we were lucky for that.
