So, I'm planning a MLP Fanfiction-styled story.
But, I'm having a little trouble with making up all kinds of characters.

But, I'm having a little trouble with making up all kinds of characters.
Very simple; all I want are original, creative characters. Earth pony mostly, but any type (excluding alicorn) or pony you make up is great! I'm especially looking for stallions, as I have problems creating male characters.
The story takes place around young Spitfire, a pony found by Flint, who tells her she possesses a 'kupua power'.
Kupua powers are leftover force from the creation of the universe that had to be locked into souls to prevent too much power in the world. A kupua power is based off of mineral or gem. (Spitfire holds the Kupua Power of Steel, for instance) And, not every kupua power is always locked in a soul.
There are always at least a half dozen of the kupua powers free-drifting in the plane, and a skilled pony can try to make 'contact' with a kupua power to try to become a kupua. If the kupua power matches the soul trying to 'charm' it, it will accept the pony as it's holder and reside in it's soul.
The more kupua powers are 'free-drifting', the more possibilities there are for normal ponies to try to 'charm', the more power there is for other magician ponies to tap into, which results in an magician alicorn who wishes to murder every Kupua in order to give him/her (haven't yet decided) more power to use.
So, the main types are Ponies, Pegesuses, Unicorns, Merponies, Ram/Elk/Goat-Ponies, Capricorns, and Kupuas(can be any type).

There are also 'Blessed'; ponies with blessings from gods and divines in the form of enhanced and new abilities. 'Blessings' can be anything, though they never reach the level of kupua powers. A good example of a Blessed Group are the Huntresses of Neith and Artemis. They're a group of mares that lives by a strict code and fights for the cause of Neith and Artemis in exchange for the goddesses' blessings. The divines giving blessings can be from any mythology.
Add a cutie mark, personality, name, ability, fighting style, theme song, quirks, talents, items, anything you like.
Important!
There's a few points I'd like to clear up.
A kupua isn't necessarily named after their power; in fact, they mostly aren't.
And while some, like Vinnessa, the Kupua of Obsidian, are simply the color of their mineral, not all are.
The perfect example is Spitfire herself.
She's Steel, but that's not her name or anything, and fire is just as important part of her as steel.
Take a look at her ref.
That's the kind of character I'm looking for in a kupua!
Make more than one character!
1st and 2nd place will be awarded to artists not for a single great pony, but for making two or three!
I like unique hair, even if it's simple!
Give your characters some unique markings, or a characteristic item of clothing!
Maybe make their eyes different colors, or give them a set of head-phones or armor!
The story takes place in a modern/medieval world.
Maybe sounds a little weird, but that's how it is.
Gives you tons of possibilities!
This is an infinitely open competition. If I like your character and decide to use it, I will tell you so, and send an item and uncommon as thanks, sometimes more if I see a ton of effort.
