:::Background:::
My family was very healthy and happy, all the time.
The only thing me, my family, and the rest of out town needed was for the Earth to keep rotating, the sun to keep revolving, the water to stay clean, the animals to repopulate, and our town to stay healthy and safe.
We begged forgiveness to every animal we killed, every fruit and vegetable we plucked from the trees or roots.
We respected each other like brothers and sisters.
But not anymore.
I remember it very clearly.
A large group of wolves invaded our little town in the woods.
~*~
They ran around in rage, kicking dirt everywhere, and knocking small huts of straw over.
I was foolish and stood up for my town.
"Stop wit this ruckus at once!" I said with a growl.
"What did you just say? Yer just a wee child, and you think you can just hollar at us and get away with it? Not a chance!" the middle, whom was the leader, growled.
I stepped back, but didn't back down. I was soon struck down by a slash in the chest. "Yer in denile of our powers, aren't you?" he said, pushing me down into the dirt with his paw. I felt so embarrassed. I swear my cheeks turned seven shades of red. My teeth bit down on each other, my eyes twitched.
But suddenly, I thought of my family, my friends, and my townmates. They were ALL in danger.
My eyes widened, my teeth loosened, and y fur turned gray again.
I stood up, leaving my whole body exposed, as if I wouldn't mind dying.
"Haha, giving up, aren't you?" He laughed. I stayed quiet, poking my self so that I wouldn't talk and put myself in more danger.
He lept to attack, but I simply dodged, and he hit a large rock. Every time he stopped because I dodged his attack, I would run and kick him, then run back.
He eventually collapsed. He and his friends walked back, snarling and growling.
But that night, I left. I was no kid. It was time for me to move on.

:::Name:::
Ara (Uh-Ra)
:::Species:::
Gray Wolf
:::Personality:::
Very playful, sweet and kind.
:::Likes:::
Exercise (i.e Running, jumping, hunting, etc.) and friends/family.
Dislikes:
Flying insects, bears, and loud noises (ex Gun shots, screams, etc.)
Background:
I was born to lead.
To be of a higher rank than anyone else in my pack.
But my parents should have known. You can't expect anything from birth.
When I was first born, I was praised by everyone in my pack. Elders, young children, and middle aged wolves.
It was too bad they did that for nothing, though the praise and loveI get now is better than any prize.
When I was one year old, my parents told me I could go out on my own, explore the the ways of a young wolf
like myself.
So I did. Who would be foolish enough to pass up an offer like that?
It was late afternoon when I set off for my adventure. I remember it like it was just yesterday.
As dusk fell, I heard the crackling and crunching of leaves behind me. As the noise seemed to come closer, getting louder by the second, it became obvious that there was something, or someone behind me. Just then, I felt the warm breath of an animal caress the fur on my neck.
My heart pounded and pounded against my chest.
Running so fast away from the foe that I could finally catch a somewhat blurry glimpse at it, I realized that the creature chasing me was a bear. I didn't know what to do. But there was only one thing to do. I jumped, putting all force into my legs. With a rough landing on the bear's back, I dug my teeth into his skin. The bear let out a ferocious scream.
I continued to bite, the bear slowly stopping and kneeling in pain.
Once he stopped and was unable to to start again, I slowly crept towards my pack. Once I couldn't see him anymore, I started to run. When I got back, my parents asked, just as I thought they would, "Why is there blood around your muzzle?".
I replied with a grunt and went back to continue my adventure. I walked slowly, still in shock from what had happened. I was far gone from my pack.
I layed down to rest for a while, when I spotted a lake. I couldn't tell what the water quality was from where I was sleeping, but I didn't care if it was clean or not, I was thirsty.
I limped in exhaust over to the lake, panting and licking my lips. When I reached the lake, I threw my head in, drinking the water so fast I barely had time to breathe. When I finally lifted my head up out of the water, I took a long breath and fell over again. Falling asleep within a few minutes, I thought of my family back home, and the slight grin of satisfaction on my face turned to a frown. I woke up with a fright, but relieved to find that my nightmare was just a dream. But I must go on, I don't need them...
Soon I reached a nearby town.
"Maybe someone will take me in..."
I thought to myself, smirking in hope.
I spotted a rather large house, made of solid marble and a brick roof.
My eyebrow rased in fascination. I walked up to the door and howled. Soon, a small girl opened the door with a fright, jumping at the sight of me. "U-um, hello. Are you lost? she stuttered. Bending down to my level and hesitantly holding her hand out to me. I licked her hand, trying to be as sweet and friendly as possible. The girl giggled, pulling her hands back to her sides.
"Come in, come in", She said, stepping to the left and throwing her hand inside. My jaw dropped to the ground when I saw the inside. "S-so big..." I thought, lifting my jaw off the ground and smiling.
From that point on, I had a home, I had a family. "This is what it feels like... To have a place I can call 'home'. To have people I can call 'family'.
