Leo wrote:Hello there...Leo here. I suppose you want to know about Anima, the Kitsuneko Chimera? Very well then...
Anima is owned by Sno Leopard, or at least desperately wants to. I know this for certain, as I live with her! Every night she and I are talking and she brings that up. "Sno Leopard is such a lovely person..." she'd say. "And she wants me ever so badly... I do hope she gets me at the end of this competition!"
Oh, you want her name again? Her real name is Anima Fides, though we (by "we" I mean her friends and me) always shorten it to "Anima". I thought it was a strange name at first, until I learned what it meant. Turns out that "Anima Fides" roughly translates to "the life we lead in trust" from Latin! Amazing, huh!
If you haven't already picked it up, Anima is a girl. Not a boy. And I, Leo the little yellow tomcat, live with her. And I am a boy. Now remember that.
Now you want to know her personality? What are you, a stalker? Just kidding! A lot of people want to know about Anima, as she really is quite magnificent. Now about Anima: she is an introvert. Don't know what that means? Look it up... now! Anyway, so Anima is an introvert, but surprisingly enough, she isn't shy (at all) and if she finds the right person, she can talk to them for hours. Or days. Or weeks. Also, she really likes her voice to be heard... if it isn't, she gets really annoyed and there goes the peace of our den. But that's beside the point... anyway, Anima can be really nice at times, and so it's often nice to be around her---at least when she's not ranting about something.
And now you want a story about her? Oh I see---how I met her, how she got her scars, all those important things. Well, here goes:I don't know much about Anima Fides's beginning years, as I didn't live with her, but I can tell you about my beginning years, of course---that would put us in a nice beginning-of-the-life-summary to begin our little story.
I was born into a clan of alley cats, filled with big, muscular battle-scarred toms and pretty little she-cats. My mother called me Leo, because although I was small, she believed (or at least hoped) that one day I would grow up to be bigger and stronger than all the toms in the world. She was the only oasis I had in the desert of my childhood---my father had died soon after my birth and since I was so small, I was almost always teased or fought by the other young tomcats, and the she-cats, beside my mother, ignored me. I probably wouldn't have gotten through my childhood without her.
Now it came to be known to us that there was a war going on in Eastern Europe (not a human war, a war between creatures)and that the troops for our side were growing thin. Apparently, the captains of our army were requesting that any creature on their side brave enough to go into battle was to be sent to the western edge of the battlegrounds in Poland. Now, of course my family wanted to send someone out to the war, and it turned out that my mother was out that day...
"You will go," the lead cat snarled.
"But why me? I'm skinny and small and full of, um, fleas!"
"Yes, but you're the only cat we can afford to lose. The only one keeping you here is your mother, and she's out today."
"But-but-but!"
"Out you go!"
And so I was thrown out onto the cold, wet street, alone. "Goodbye, Mother," I whispered.
I knew I couldn't just wait until my mother came back because then the clan would shred both of us, and the only other place I could think of going was the war, so off I went.
It took me several weeks because it's an awfully long way from England to Poland, but eventually I made it. I won't go into it in detail because this is more about Anima than me and we need to get on with the program.
I first met Anima when I arrived at the battleground. That was when she and I were younger, before she had her scars and before I got the limp of which annoys me so much. My first sight of her was simply a glimpse, and even then she had seemed strong and determined. As we waited for the captains to come out, I struck a conversation with her:
"Hello..."
"Hello! What's your name?"
"Uhhh...Leo. And yours?"
As you can see, it was pretty awkward between both of us. Fortunately, the captains came out then. They did a bunch of shouting about how there was no time to train us and all that and then, well, sent us out to battle. As I left the camp, I realized that all this time, I didn't know what we were fighting...

In other news I don't remember if I said anything but Sebeon donated some amazing gift lines that can be used by any Kitsuneko species!
