What if- okay, so the rules on the front say "giftlines are not to be used for tryoit art". Are we allowed to make gift lines with the specific purpose to allow people to use them for tryout art?

I'm not really sure what you meant in your question though I'll do my best to try to answer it.

As if you mean how to get your Kia a girlfriend/boyfriend you simply need to seek out another player and roleplay with them, or even just agree on the dating aspect. Otherwise yes its mostly done through role play. You can also date your own Kias as long as they're not closely related.
Kia's also must only date/mate within their own species meaning they can't extend girlfriend/boyfriend to another species; they must be a Kiamara.
If you and your writing partner feel they match up enough you might eventually get your kiamara a mate.

So they really date like any other species, creativity and writing.

A Kiamara only gets it's feathers as an adult. So when you're ready for your Kiamara to age, you can contact an artist and they'll grow you kia. C:

{ Really you don't have to ask the artist who made your kia (though we do ask that you try asking them first to make life easier for everyone) So if this is an issue then you can simply contact another one of the other artists to grow your kia for you.

It really isn't complicated or anything, you just need to PM whoever you'd like to grow them, ask politely, allow for their other obligations and RL time constraints, and before long....voila! Your kia is grown C:
