This is a button species, meaning that they are obsessed with buttons. On the bottom left corner is the egg, which has four holes in the top like a button. The parents of the egg line the nest with little beads, which are the same colors as what the grown-ups color pallet will be. The top is the teenager, who hasn't grown horns yet. They carry around a strand of thread with colored beads on it.

The middle is the adult. When this animal "comes of age" it sets off into the human world to find itself a button. This button is extremely special to the animal.
