I pulled out my phone and texted to my parents back in Wyoming asking how they where doing. They told me that one of their old mares died, the one I used to ride.

Luka finished his noodles. He quickly gave a tiny glance at Abigail, she seemed odd..... He looked down at her phone. It looked shiny and new looking, but he could be wrong. A small hint of sadness covered her face..... maybe something happened..... He hesitated for a minute before speaking up, "Is everything okay?" He asked, his voice a bit shaky, but it was really hard to recognize the tone.

I sighed. "My horse from back at the ranch died a few weeks ago..."

[Nawratus]

"Oh, I'm sorry." Luka said, trying to make her feel better. "How old was she when she died?" He asked, his voice a bit shaky.

"I think they said she was 23, which is a good age." I stood up and exited the booth, since we were both finished.

[Nawratus]

"Oh." Luka said before getting up as well.

"Well, lets go to your place now." I smiled and reached for his hand.

[Nawratus]

"Okay," Luka said before taking her hand in his, gently. He slowly intertwined their fingers together.

I gripped his hand a bit tighter as we walked out of the diner.
