@Brinco, yeah I told everyone in school about how I have rats and they give me really dodgy looks like 'What the hell have you been taking?' XD But I would never give my fatty-ratties up <3

I get that all the time! I just tell them how smart and cute they are. And ofcourse how affectionate they can be

Rats have always been given a bad rap. I mean the wild ones are cute but the wreap havoc. Pet rats however are just adorable and I hae no problem telling people I have rats. I could care less if they don't approve, they need to realize that if they have kids, Rats are the BEST pets for them if you can't get them a dog or a cat.

I know I just laugh at them and then say something like ... 'Fine ... I'll just get my rats on you while your sleeping... You'll wake up with only one toe ' then they give me another look then leave xD
But obviously, rats don't bite people because they feel like it, they {or at least mine XD} only bite, if they feel really threatened and can't run or hide, or if you fingers smell of food >.>'
I can put my finger in thier cage covered in jam and they still don't bite, they lick it off then try and escape for more >.>'' lol.

Well, my caught rat Chaser, he is brown like a muddy color, and my other one Nibbles, she is a pure white one, fell in love and had babies :3 She gave birth the other day and they are spotty. My sister, She is primpy and freaks out over a tiny little bug. I said one day,"I finally caught that one! His name is Chaser. See?" and she shrieked and said,"EEEK!!! GET THAT UNGLY BEAST OUT OF HERE!"...but anyway, I forgot to shut my door in my room, Chaser always runs free, and he got in my sisters room. He is mischievous, and when my sister ran in, he ran up her pants leg, up her shirt and looked at her, twiching his little whiskers. Then when she started screaming he burrowed back down to get away from the noise, and wounded up in her underwear. I came inside after riding my mare Dreamer, and she was screaming her head off. Now my mother makes me take off my boots when I come in, so throwing off my muddy boots and leaving Dreamer tied up, I ran barefoot to see what was wrong. Can you belive she THREW Chaser at me? And I got in trouble, when she coulda broke his little legs!

Yeah, Chaser is adorable. It was funny when Nibbles was pregnant, she waddled around like a fat duck :3 The babies are so cute. I never thought Chaser would be the father, when I caught Chaser out in the stable he attacked Nibbles.

When I was trying to catch Chaser when I first saw him, my other mare [who is now pregnant : )] tried to stomp him!

I still go to the stables and look around, cause I bet Chaser had some little ratty friends before I caught him : D

Dexter is a Rat Terrier. He's suppose to hunt rats but...he actually LOVES them! He tries to get Squirrels though.

Rats are extremely prone to tumors. I have only had 2 out of 20 or so of them actually get them though.

oh really i didn't know rats were prone to tumors
but that funny about dexter,my dog goes after cats.
o if i ever get a rat i want a jumbo i <3 there ears!!!

Heh so Chaser is a wild rat?
My mum would through a fit if I caugh a wild rat e.e
She didn't even let me try and catch a rat that got into my grans house...my gran has looooads of cats, so yeah, you see why I wanted to get the poor rat out of there XD

Yup, my baby Chaser was caught by meee.

My mother doesn't care, we live in the country and the barn/stable is full of em!

He is sitting on my shoulder now, watching my fingers typeing then looking at the screen and watching the letters go on.
