★ _______"why should i tell you my name?"
Well, I'll tell you then. Alton -- that's it. Just Alton. No middle name, no last name, not that he's told anyone at least. Alton means 'dawn,' which is rather contradicting of his appearance, of course. He dislikes telling people his name, so he never really has to explain it to anyone -- I've got no clue either. My best guess, though, is that it symbolizes something deep inside him -- a bit of warmth, of kindness, that he keeps hidden away, like the early sun that might rise into the dark night sky ... but I digress. Alton is his name, nicknames are absolutely out of the question, and that's it.

_______"personality? that's getting a bit personal ... just go away, won't you?"★ ★
Alton is not exactly a friendly lil social butterfly. Like, at all. He prefers the company of one creature- himself. Being around others makes him feel awkward and irritable. He's very introverted and parties are pretty much his worst enemy. He leaves his door locked pretty much 24/7 and if someone rings the doorbell, chances are he won't answer, unless they absolutely won't go away and are distracting him from his writing. Oh- his writing! Alton is an author, well, sort of. He's never actually published any of his works -- he's much too shy and would hate for others to read his writing. However, he's certain his writing is good enough to get published. Nobody really knows though, as he's never let anyone read it. In fact, it takes quite a bit of reconnaissance to learn he's an author at all, as he rarely ever speaks to others and when he does, it's lovely little snippets such as "Go away" or that sort of endearment, nothing about his writing. Although on the outside he's cold, rough, and rude, his writing is the way he expresses his true feelings, the ones he veils in his icy exterior to protect them. Alton writes fantasy, only fantasy, marveling to himself at the way a few clicking keys on a typewriter can bring to life his colorful, magical fantasylands. He has fascinating and bizarre ideas, and he often loses himself in writing for days at a time. He has an incredible amount of muse and will often write continuously. However, he isn't very patient. Often in the middle of a story or novel, if he loses inspiration or motivation, he'll just stop, point-blank. Rip the paper off the typewriter, and that unfinished story will join the many stacks of paper around his house, of both finished and unfinished works. His house is absolutely full of these stacks, and he never bothers to organize them. Some days, when he feels he needs a pick me up, he'll grab a stack and read it through, reveling in the magical world inside, leaving this cold, dark, rainy one behind. His writing more than makes up for the social company he lacks, and he doesn't miss having the companionship of actual living things all. He wonders why anyone would- why would someone want the company of contrary, treacherous, potentially lying, fighting, teasing, manipulating creatures when he has a full stack of perfect ones right here? That will do whatever he wishes; never argue; always listen; and it's up to him to decide what happens to them, just as much as he may decide what happens in his life, or even more. Writing is his escape; he couldn't live without it. But he doesn't want anyone interrupting his paradise of words and magic ... so he's alone. Always, alone.
