Sorry for the late post, I got a bit sidetracked [cough assassinscreedIV cough], but I'm here now to tell you the special thing we are doing!

We're having a contest! But it's not like the other contests- it's a dress up contest! I'm looking for the most creative and interesting Halloween costumes to dress up our old mascot, NL (short for Nameless!). I am providing you with an image of NL that you can edit and manipulate in anyway to dress her up as you please!

You can do whatever you want with it, as long as we can sort of still tell its NL- remember that it's a costume, so it is not a part of the fox, but over it. Here's an example of simple costume- NL dressed up as a ghost!


If you do not have an art program outside of CS and want to enter but can only use Oekaki- don't worry! You do not have to use the image of NL provided, you can make your own drawing of NL with your costume design and submit that as an entry. Just make sure we can tell it's NL!

Text captions (speech, like the "boo!") are allowed as long as they follow all the rules, which are listed below-

Contest Rules & Guidelines

1. Do not redistribute or claim the original image as your own- if you wish to upload your entry elsewhere (ex. on dA), please credit me (EmberWolf) and link back to the BEF thread

2. Your costume must be appropriate. If you wouldn't post it on CS because of the chance of a board warning, don't post it here. If you have concerns about what is and isn't appropriate, you can PM me your entry before hand and I will give you my opinion on if it is or isn't, or you can contact a CS mod and ask them if it is safe for CS. This includes any excessive gore. I'm putting this rule in just as a reminder, because I have experienced a surprise board warning before from something that I didn't think was that gory.

3. Your costume might be done by multiple people- do not get angry if you see someone else had a similar idea as yours unless it is obvious they copied it. If you feel someone is copying you, PM me and I will review it, then have some of our thread mods (tiny and Duh, probably) review it for a second opinion. If you copy, you will be disqualified from the contest, and if obvious art theft occurred (tracing/copying and pasting), reported to CS.

4. I'm not looking for flashy, detailed, artistic skill- I'm looking for creativity. If you think your art isn't very good- do not be put off by the contest- I want to see your ideas! I will be judging this solely on the originality and amount of thought that appeared to go into the entry. I'd like to see a wide range of entries from all different skill levels!

5. You are allowed to make costumes based off of media- for example, Harry Potter or Marvel comics superheros/villain based costumes. Characters from books, movies, TV shows, etc. are all allowed.

6. Please only enter once. If you have multiple ideas, just use the one you like the most.

The prize for the contest is One Breeding Pass

What's a Breeding Pass?
A Breeding Pass can be used to breed your BEFs! If you have at least two foxes, you can breed your own together, OR you can breed your fox with someone else's fox if they approve of the breeding. When you breed your foxes, I will make a litter for them- include a couple picture of the two parents together- and the owner(s) of the parents will get to choose a kit(s) from the litter- they will get to see the kits when they choose. The rest of the kits will be released in a regular litter to be adopted by everyone else in the usual first-come, first-serve basis. This chance does NOT come by often, and will continue to be a rare occurrence.

If you do not own a fox yet but still want to enter the contest- you can! You may either choose the second prize option OR you can hold onto the breeding pass until you do have a fox. This is also a prize that can benefit another person should you choose to breed your fox with someone else, so there is a chance that multiple people can "win" c:

The contest will end Sunday, November 3rd.
I will close entries after the last release on Saturday unless people say they need more time, then there is a chance I will extend the time until on Sunday. Post your entries on the thread when you are completely satisfied with them!

For the contest, is it ok to change the eye color? It is not really changing her because it is like contact lenses that are used for costumes.
