Simply because you're obviously not going to marry your schoolday "crush", which makes it flirting, and flirting is BAD. Why get mixed up with trying to "get boys to like you" before you even know how it works, just because it makes you feel cool?
I've never been in a relationship. But I really disagree with this. First of all, there are actually people who have married their high school boyfriend/girlfriend. Second of all, you make it sound like just because you are an adult, a one night stand is so much more meaningful than a year long high school relationship.

Bfs/gfs are also considered friends. For the most part, friends do give happiness. What's wrong with falling in love earlier than eighteen.?
