Feminine form of Greek Adrastos, meaning "she who stands his ground," in other words "courageous."
----
She was name this because, while her parents let the pups grow into there name. Adrasteia-Loarri showed great courage as a young pup and her parents thought the name fit well for the young she-wolf

short Story/Histoy:


A pup's muzzle touched lightly into the dirt as the little she-wolf sniffed. The young pup had wondered inches away from her parents, searching along a vacant plain for a chance at a game to play with her siblings - something hard to come by lately for her. The entire area seemed to be evacuated of any other life, excluding the occasional fluttering butterbirds.

The smallest movement of grass made the pup poise her ears, high on alert for the noise near by. Her eyes flickered across her line of vision, iris' composed of amber flecks within bright ovals. Eyes finally locking onto the small movement just to the side of a the boulder, her baby muscles tensed. It wasn't much of a leap, but it was better than a longer run she would have needed.

Jaw set, she padded quietly closer, paws leaving silent marks behind. Once she was close enough, she moved into a crouching position low to the ground. All at once, the pup thrusted her body out, deadly claws extended and landing harshly onto her brother's shoulders.
