Full Personality: Cocky, arrogant, hot-headed, brash, unthinking, wilfull, stubborn, gentle.

Searing gold eyes flitted about the rustling trees nervously, and the girl with tumbling locks of bright gold hair - Kura - stood alone, in a clearing. The light of the moon danced off her pale skin; the occasional sudden noises hurt her very sensitive ears. Ever so often, a frown of annoyance flickered across the phoenix sprite's otherwise flawless face.

Her sensitive ears had picked up the sound of footsteps, as well voices that were still rough with sleep. What was that commontion? Had another of those beasts - Ahzenai - arrived from the Vortex?

The noise had started only a few minutes ago, and Kura contemplated her choices. She could just stay here, in this lonely clearing, and sink into the peace of the surroundings. Or she could run off to the source of the noise, and perhaps, just perhaps...Kura would have a new friend.

The sprite sighed and twisted a lock of her glowing gold hair around a finger. Decisions, decisions... How difficult to make one. Finally, Kura let go of her hair and nodded slightly to herself.

She darted off in the direction of the noise.

Kura reached the crowd just in time to listen to the Ahz speak. His pelt was the color of fire, and flames rippled on his back as he spoke in his deep voice, "So...who is brave enough to approach me? Be careful, you may get burned." Kura's fists clenched as a storm rose in her eyes. Of course she was brave enough; fire was her life-blood.

She stepped up to Aralek, looking up at him defiantly, not helping her fiery nature. Kura tried to take deep breaths to quench her temper, but decided to let herself cool down with time. "Look," she finally said in her quiet voice. She clenched her hand, and opened the fist to reveal a small tornado of blue-tinged fire. "That's what I can do. I control fire. I manipulate it."

Kura finally remembered her manners, and trying not to look embarrassed, she said, "Hello, Aralek." At the same time, she released the fire tornado, watching it disappear into the lightening sky. "I am Kura, a phoenix sprite. I can shift into a phoenix, and like I've showed you, I am a fire elemental." Kura took a deep breath, letting herself flow with the words.

"I will be very glad if we become acquaintances, or even good friends. However, that is all up to you. Anyway, I often embark adventures in my world, Ignisaer. It is a world of sprites, people like me. Sometimes I go alone on adventures to explore volcanoes - I am resistant to heat, you see - and I race the dragons." Kura allowed a small smile to light up her delicate features.

"Why alone, you might ask? I am not one with many friends. People shy away from me; I don't know why. I wish I could find a companion who is fiery in both appearance and heart, like me, and that is why I have come to your world." Suddenly Kura's gold eyes hardened, and defiance ignited yet again. That was common for Fire Elemental sprites - they were tempremental. "I am not asking for pity. I'm just stating facts and reasons. I'm not a creature to wail and wait for pity, and I'm certain that you aren't, too.

"My world, besides having dragons and smoking volcanoes, has something else too, something that I've never seen before. Sun-horses. They may not sound like much, but they burn things with just a touch. They're carnivorous. One of them..."

Kura's eyes flashed black for a second, and she continued quickly, not wanting the Ahz to see her sadness and anger, "One of them killed my kin. My sister. I won't elaborate on how that stupid beast took her soul; I shall just say that she got burned to death.

"So" - Kura's tone of voice became similar to the Fire Elemental Ahz's when he was addressing the crowd - "why don't you come along with me, and see if we can destroy at least a sun-horse? It serves as a form of revenge, and quite a bit of fun as well." Kura gave a tinkling laugh, holding out her hand as if to beckon Aralek over, then let it drop to her side.

"I shall wait for your verdict, Aralak. Farewell for now."

The phoenix sprite cast a quick, burning glance at Aralek, before her shape blurred and shifted to that of a slender phoenix.

A golden feather, sparking with the last of its fire, fell gently to the ground as the sprite departed to wait, her eyes darkened black and red like burning coals in her excitement.

It was a slow time in Ahzen. Many suitors were once again worrying over school and work, coming back to Ahzen on the weekends to clear their minds and relax their bodies. While the air was dropping in temperature, rainclouds seeping into the land and dousing the foliage with much-needed water. It seemed like little was going on; many suitors were stuck carrying loads of books with work, work, and more work.

Someone needed to intervene.

As if on cue, the Vortex began to twirl and writhe, alerting everyone to the birth of a new Ahzenai; Finally! Something to brighten everyone's day! Bronze and gold tendrils snuck their way throughout hints of orange, the vague forms of roman numerals appearing in the soft glow of the Vortex. Within seconds a bronze-tinged paw exited the Vortex, followed quickly by the smooth yet energetic leap onto the sand-covered ground below. Staring down, Vaxt looked at the sand with wide eyes, mouth slightly opened in surprise. The sand felt so.... strange. As if realizing where he was, the Ahzenai suddenly raised his head with the same expression, peering around at the suitors staring apprehensively, waiting for him to speak.

"A-ah! Hello everyone!" He said quickly, remembering his manners. "My name is Vaxt, pleased to meet you! Pardon me for being blunt, but I already know what I'm looking for," he said, mouth extending into a charming smile. "I'm looking for someone to share in an adventure."

Alright guys, here's the third of our twelve Elemental Ahz, one per month. I know he's a bit late, but all good things come in time, right? (Pun intended)
Just a refresher:
On each Elemental's face will be the circle mark and an outline of its respective element on its forehead.
Most importantly, these Ahzenai DO NOT have powers, they are only based off of the Elements. Though myth foretells that in times of crisis they did, there is no such modern crisis to warrant powers. So, just pretty pelts and a lot of attitude :B
I'm allowing you to dictate their personality, but you must keep the traits already listed, if any.

"So wake me up when it's all over, when i'm wiser and i'm older..." i sat up, blinking my eyes to adjust to the bright dawn light that seemed to wash over me all at once. "All this time i was finding myself..." as i glanced around, i noticed a few ahzenai and their owners sitting scattered in the grass. "i didn't know i was lost." finally i pulled my headphones out of my ears, twisting them around my fingers a few times before stuffing the whole bundle along with my ipod into my front sweatshirt pocket. as i heard the twittering of small birds, i casually noted how peaceful this morning was, compared to the previous mornings where cold seeped into my skin and the clouds hid the sun beneath their dark gray blanket. but as i enjoyed this rare beauty, i still longed to just let my music drown out the rest of the world.
all at once a cushioned force slammed into me, and the top half of my body was pushed forward, and my face slammed into my knees. good thing i was flexible, or i probably wouldn't have been able to retaliate from the incident fast enough to catch what had happened. i rolled onto my side and hauled myself up, running my long side-braid through my hands. in the corner of my eye i noticed a pair of ahzenai--one blue, one slightly more fragile pink and green--rolling around in the grass, unaware of the various objects they were trampling over including rocks, bags, and crisping brown plants. also, me. with a deep sigh i stalked over to them and grabbed the nearest tail. as i pulled, i noticed it was the blue one. oelaer.
"oelaer!" i groaned as i starting to yank him free of the twisted, furry mass he and persica had become. slowly i managed to have heaved oelaer away, yet the hyperactive ahzenai's paws scraped the earth as he reached for his friend, who was giggling and prancing away. i wondered then how long i had until oelaer finally realized what was holding him back.
i soon found out, actually. roughly 4 seconds. his head whipped around, his bright yellow eyes looking directly from my face to my hands, and a smile spread across his face as he kicked free of my grip and bounded back. "get back here!" he called, as his paws reached out to grab her again. at least there was someone to keep him busy.i looked around for the rest of my ahzenai. it had become nearly impossible to keep up with all of them now, but daily check never hurt anyone. i struggled to push oelaer and persica to the back of my mind with the rest of the strenuous work i had stuffed there, but i would need to if i wanted to get on with the rest of my day. off in the distance i noticed kotha and elvira. the purple ahzenai, elvira, was the only one of the two that was mine, but lately she had grown a particular interest in her near-twin. Cute. she thought with a small grin.

Today seemed like a usual day. Birds chirping faintly outside the cave, suitors constantly on patrol over at the portal, and Ahnzenai slouching around, whisking their tails at ease. I had situated myself away from the crowd, and started to read of adventurous tales, while Scanicanous, Esper, and Scaer sat beside me in a vivid discussion. I seemed to have caught a gist of it, involving their recent trip to Egypt's famous pyramids. "....It was fun!" mused Esper to her companion, Scanicanous, whom nodded gently in agreement. Scaer seemed to listen to the two with a silent smile. They seemed to be having a nice time in their own presence, while I enjoyed the company of my novel. ..."We must hurry to the teleporter!" shouted the man, ushering his assistant towards him, "or else we won't be able to head back to our time!" I read these lines with a rush of suspense, easing my way into the novel, until the sound of the vortex snapped my attention back into reality.
What's going on? I thought, curiousity overwhelming my mind as Scaer,Esper and Scanicanous faced the vortex. It seemed to be active, stirring up with gold and bronze colors blending their way into the generally mysterious vortex. As soon as the Ahzenai popped out and introduced itself, Scaer, Esper and Scanicanous were smiling knowingly to themselves. They probably knew what I was thinking. I made my way over to the now densly packed crowd, trying my best to slip in between anxious and excited suitors. Perhaps even relieved, considering the overflowment of school work recieved over the past month or two.
Making my way to the front, glimpses of roman numerals appeared before my excited eyes, and soon I myself began to get a sense of adventure stirring into my veins. This Azhenai, Vaxt, seemed like a mysterious figure to me, as if he were an old and long-forgotten book, yearning for someone to turn its pages and obtain its information. I watched with alert eyes as suitors tried their best at wooing the new Ahz, but to no avail did the creature go to their side.
After the seemingly infinite line dwindled to myself and seven others, I made my way to the Ahz, feeling the watchful eyes of Scanicanous and Esper onto my figure. I felt the gentle presence of Scaer's gaze, a reminder of what was happening. I sat down my recently loved book, The Mysterious Adventures of Williams and Claire* in front of the Ahzenai. I hesitated, and protruded a Sonic Screwdriver 'toy' from my back pocket, and laid it alongside the book. "I...I heard you were wanting someone for an adventure, right? Someone that you can take anywhere in the world, or universe, and share the memories with? Maybe even to share beliefs and opinions with? My name is Wajas, and it is a pleasure to be able to speak with you."
"What about adventures in space, or even time, where it may feel like a fantasy but is a reality? Like with the Romans," I guestured to his roman numerals, "who often told of ferocious creatures that destroyed warriors and help men. Perhaps adventures into the future, like alien planets and time traveling? Adventures are shaped into many forms, but there are all around us, spying, waiting: only wanting to grip onto our legs and submerge us into their water of suspense and excitement. "
"I have been on many adventures, but I don't think they would be considered one by your standards. My most favorite adventure would have to be going to a library, a source of knowledge, and picking up another adventure. A library is a place where adventure meets the oftenly labeled 'stationary' activity called reading. Unlike percieving them in real life, reading it makes it feel like it is real, and as if you were apart of the adventure. It can even be experienced as many times as Time itself allows it to be. Now," I said, feeling blood rush to my cheeks, "as my rambling comes to an end, I hope you can pick me to be with you. I hope that I can accompany you where ever you want to go: to Paris or Rome, the library or livingroom, even through Time and Space. I understand you yourself want a part in this adventure," I said, waving my hand towards my offering, "So I hope these two prized possecions of mine help. I chose these two items, a Sonic Screwdriver, and my favorite book, The Mysterious Adventures of Williams and Claire* because I understand that you want to go on adventures throughout the world. Whether it involves space and gripping the adventure of the moment," I pointed to the Sonc Screwdriver toy, "or simply letting it fold out in front of you," and then I pointed over to my beloved book, "I hope the adventue is a fun one, to be charished for all of time. I wish you the best of luck in your choosing, and that you have a wonderful adventure to look forward to." I offered the Ahzenai a simple smile, before departuring from my offerings, and towards my three beloved companions. Having a fifth member in our group couldn't hurt, right?
*The book, called The Mysterious Adventures of Williams and Claire is made up by myself. It's suppose to be like one of those action novels that involve a crime scene.
