Shadow shook his head. "Go lay down in my den, rest. I'll try to find her," the black brute told her. He then padded off. "Literacy," he called, searching for the faes white fur.

Meadow was more than glad to take Shadow up on his suggestion and sunk to the ground as he padded off to find the healer. She knew he would be back soon and was not at all worried. Instead, she closed her eyes and breathed deeply, hovering between sleep and wakefulness as she rested and waited for Shadow to return.
It took some willpower not to fall completely asleep, but the temptation was great. Maybe it would be alright if she dozed off a little. Shadow or Literacy would wake her up soon anyways.

Kink jumped suddenly at the sound of someone calling his name. He had been so deep in thought that they had managed to startle him, but all those thoughts were gone now as he cleared them from his head with a good shake and looked up to find a second surprise. Star, the Alpha Female, was the one who was talking to him.
Quickly, he lowered his head, pulled back his ears, and tucked his tail between his legs and he approached.
"Hello, Ma'am.", he greeted her softly, making sure to avoid eye contact.

Shadow could not find Literacy. He ran to the border of the other pack's territory and howled for their healer.

"How are you doing?" She asked with a nice smile. Star lowered her head so it was level with Kink's.

Strange... Star was treating him as an equal. It was unusual, even a bit off-putting, but the change was a welcome one all the same. Sure, Star was usually kind and understanding, but pack members rarely paid any attention to the Omega. Despite, he thought Star was good Alpha. She had certain mothering qualities about her that Kink had missed in his biological one, since she had died shortly after giving birth.
Kink hesitantly raised his head to a comfortable height that he usually carried it at, careful not to appear insubordinate, and answered Star's question with a politely befuddled grin.
"I'm alright, but what about you, Star, ma'am? How are you doing?"
He relaxed his tail a little and gave it a few excited wags. It was not so obviously tucked as it had been before, but still held submissively lowered.
After being interrupted in his thoughts and having an out-of-the-ordinary interaction, it did not even occur to Kink to mention his run-in with the aggressive loner earlier. He was more concerned with holding up a conversation with Star.
