{{ Crinitus Dracones are a species of dragon. The literal translation is Fluffy Dragons, but it was decided that 'Fluffy Dragons simple wasn't an elegant enough name, therefore 'Crinitus Dracones' was born!

{{ They are not extremely rare, but have a level of rarity to them. They are linked with humans; but one specific human may only be linked with three, but that is very rare. These people must be strong willed and put a huge amount of effort into giving each equal attention.

{{ The dragons are quite unique and at time often do not look alike to anything. Though some look similar, but only if they are twins; even then they look different.

{{ The dragons at adulthood can reach two meters tall, and can be as small as 1 meter. The males tend to be taller than the females.

{{ Between being a hatchling and adulthood the dragons play-fight and relish each others company. They tend not to make their first bonds at this age but it is not unheard of; the reason it is more difficult to bond at this age is because when first born they spend all of their time with their mothers then grow and enjoy playing with other hatchlings.

{{ The egg is warm to touch and has a slight feeling of feathery down, though not visible to the naked eye there are tiny hairs coating the egg to keep it warm for when the parents are not with the egg. The best time to bond with a Crinitus is now; though finding an abandoned egg or stealing one is quite the feat as the parents are very diligent and caring. The only time you cold ever do this easily is through breeding a Crinitus and helping care for the egg.

{{ The eggs are made of a very thick, almost indestructible material. Nobody has really tried to break the eggshells except after hatching and even then it's very tough.

{{ They will not let human ride them unless they are extremely close.

{{ They are practically sentient beings. They cannot speak any human language and can only speak through their human.

{{ They are generally very quiet, and very kind towards other beings, but they do have separate personalities and can be different.

{{ They do not have mating seasons because they mate whenever they want to. And they mate for live meaning that they only mate once they no longer have a hatchling or egg to care for, even then the sometimes choose against it.

The hatchling makes a tiny mewling sound, you stroke it's warm dense fur, and it snuggles close to your arm, you know that you shall share a very special bond once he has grown. Perhaps he will even allow you to ride him.

Finished! <333 I hope you like my form :3 Great job!

Dragon #: 4
Stage: Hatchling
Username: JayzPF
Name: Glory
Gender: Male
How did you gain possession of this hatchling?:
The day I met Glory was the day I truly learned what living on this world was about. Before, I was cold and detached from the rest of it. I didn't love anything and nobody cared for me, either. It suited me just fine to wander the streets during the day and come home at night to an empty house while my neighbors feasted with their families. But then, all of that changed.

One morning, instead of heading to town like I normally did, I tossed on a jacket and left for a lake that I knew was a few miles away. Why did I do it? At the time I had no idea. It was as it something was calling me, but that was absurd. Right? What had driven me to suddenly break schedule and go in the opposite direction? I quickly found out upon my arrival to the lake.

The water was glistening, rolling in waves and tossing sunlight everywhere. It was contained in a perfectly elliptical hollow in the earth. Windswept branches shifted and crackled in the soft breeze. Overhead a few avian friends glided around serenely, not at all afraid of the dragon.

The dragon? With a jolt, my eyes found the small, huddled form of the mythical creature. I swept my awed gaze across it's body and instantly, somehow I knew I loved it. The mere sight brought a grin to my face. It was a beautiful tawny color like a lion. There were web-like markings all over it's tail, legs, and neck. But what really mesmerized me was it's eyes. The small dragon, who I now realized was just a hatchling, slowly lifted its delicate head and peeked at me with slitted eyes. They were solid orbs of my favorite color. Vaguely I knew that I couldn't keep calling this majesty 'it'. Precisely at that moment, the hatchling completely opened his brilliant azure hues and stared straight at me. There are no words I can use to describe what happened next. Somehow, it communicated with me using only its eyes and told me it was a boy. It was glorious, absolutely glorious. To capture the perfect moment, I decided to name him Glory.

In the back of my mind, something whispered, No. This isn't real. You're dreaming. I was struck with intense horror at the thought. Could it be true? After all, I hadn't really believed in the crazy dragon tales that people told at the bar. My worries melted away at the sound of Glory's voice. He had begun a sort of mewing, like a little kitten without it's mother. Another concern struck me. Where was it's mother? Surely it had one. I scanned the vicinity for a form, one that threatened me for even looking at their baby. Nothing of interest was seen in the whole area. Perhaps he had been abandoned. The thought that anyone would leave this adorable dragon by itself was heart wrenching. Glory's mewing grew louder and more anxious, breaking me out of my reverie. Subconsciously I moved closer to him and the pathetic sounds quieted and turned into purring. At that moment, it was just me and him in our quiet little world. We shared it together now.

I put one foot in front of the other, approaching him cautiously. With every step his gaze intensified and his eyes seemed to glow in satisfaction. Encouraged by this, I reached the hatchling's side and boldly reached down to scoop him up. Glory gave me a look that seemed so much like an amused smile and I gently stroked his head, surprised by how light he was. His lovely fur was as soft as satin and thickly luxurious in my fingers. Inhaling deeply, the small dragon's wonderful scent filled my nose. It was like many of my favorite things mixed together. Apples, cinnamon, autumn leaves. I sighed happily and scratched his back, giggling at his tiny purrs. This was perfect. He was perfect. It felt like my life was complete. Is this what it felt like when you loved something with all your heart?

Cradling him delicately in my arms, I left the lake and walked home. I was very careful not to jostle Glory and make it as comfortable as I possibly could. If he was distressed at being taken away from his home, he didn't show it at all. The tiny hatchling kept up with a steady stream of happy gurgles and he even nibbled at my long, raven hair. I felt slightly guilty at just keeping him, but his safety and happiness was now my number one concern. Who knows what could have happened if I had left him there? Comforted that I was doing the right thing, I set out for home hugging my new best friend.

Stage: Hatchling

Name: Cylus
Gender: Male
How did you gain possession of this hatchling?: Telling this as a story:
I walked along the beaten path of the woods taking in the surrounding beauty. I could hear birds chirping in the trees, hear the rustle of the wind in the leaves of the trees. I walked further into the woods then normal, wishing to escape the chores of this morning. And, I will admit it, to find out if I can find the dragons. I heard them, late last night. I felt a calling to them. I have told no one, wishing to keep this secret, wishing to be the only one to see them... For there are people in my town who might harm them, and I would die inside if I had hurt a dragon. The quiet breaks into my thoughts. I know these woods, and they are never quiet. But they are now. I push through the last few trees, into a clearing and my heart breaks. A dragon lies dead in the clearing. The wounds covering its body are those of another dragon. This is odd in itself, as Crinitus Dragons rarely fight, they are peaceful creatures. At least from what I've noticed. A small movement catches my eye, and I turn towards it, curious. Another surprise. A small dragon pushes against the dead ones body, mewling pathetically. It crawls to the body's head, pushing against it, trying to wake the dragon, not knowing that this dragon will never wake. A rush of sadness flows through me, I can feel tears in my eyes. I know now that this dragon must have been a mother, that this is her baby. But where is the father? I ask myself. Don't these dragons raise their young together? But looking around, I can find no father. Wouldn't he have taken the baby anyway? Tried to take his child away from whatever killed his mate? This doesn't make any sense. I need to make a decision soon. Should I take the hatchling, assuming that the father is dead? Or leave him, risking predators taking him? I leave the hatchling for now, hoping the father is still near, I have no wish to take another's child. But all through the day, the little hatchling haunts me.
The next day, I hurry to the site of the hatchling, hoping and yet not hoping that the father found the hatchling. But when I arrive at the clearing... The hatchling lies upon the ground, gasping for breath, many wounds covering his little body.
No...
The father didn't come back. He probably never will. I run to the hatchling, scoping him up. His blue eyes are large with fear and pain. But as I pick him up, the fear is replaced by trust. Why? I have done nothing to help him yet. He makes tiny mewling sounds, and snuggles into my arm. I feel... A bond between us. If I can save him, he and I will have a bond. But there is so much to do... I walk him home, feeling his soft fur, his warmth. A name comes to me: Cylus.

Art/Poem/Story: After taking Cylus home, the reality of the situation strikes me. How on earth do I treat a dragon hatching? I'm not a professional healer, nor do I have any experience with dragons. But... With Cylus... I know I cannot let him die. I decide to start by simply cleaning the wounds, deciding to deal with the rest once he is clean. I learn quickly that dragon hatching don't like baths. At least both of us are clean now. Cylus seems to be shooting me dirty looks due to bis forced bath time, almost like a human child. Due to this, I chase him all across the house trying to catch him for his next treatment.
"Cylus! You'll open up your wounds!" I scold when I catch him. He gives me a mischievous look, then his whole body starts shaking. Worried, I inspect him to see the cause, only to find that he seems to be giggling. I sigh. At least he must be feeling better. After his wounds are wrap in gauze, Cylus sets about exploring my house, poking his nose into just about everything. Like a true little comedian, he even gets his head stuck in a cookie jar. Pulling him out, I find him eating one of the cookies.
"Cylus!" Are dragons suppose to eat cookies? Cylus gives me another mischievous look and trots off with his stolen treat. I sigh, Cylus is turning into a real little trouble-maker. But later that night, he snuggles up.in bed with me, purring like a cat. I know that, trouble-maker or not, Cylus and I are bonded now, and he is part of my life now.
