the rolling hills are grassy and soft. the long grass is perfect for pets to hide in. as you start to lean against a tree, a unibunny suddenly becomes visible and it freezes, watching you cautiously. it eyes your shoelace and bats it experimentally, then becomes enamored with the game.

@falafel pie; probably in a day or two, i wanted to get things started first plus i still have to draw the lines
it's too hot to be going up the mountain so you decide to explore the base. as you walk around, you hear a noise in a patch of grass. when you investigate you discover a vulpe that's fallen and sprained its wing on its first attempt at flight. you promise to nurse it back to health and it purrs.

the stream is clear and the water is cold and refreshing, especially on a hot day like this. it's not a wonder that you see several vulpes and unibunnies gathered by the bank. but all of them scatter when they see you approaching, except for one vulpe who seems playful and less human-shy than the rest.

the waterfall feeds into the spring happily and you splash some of the water on your face to cool off. then, you start searching around the perimeter of the spring, where tropical fauna grows. you hear a snuffling noise and a vulpe pokes its head out and daintily sniffs your fingers.

you scout around the mountain base, hoping to find some hidden caves with creatures hiding in them. you think you see a flash of something in the corner of your eye, but it's just a bug. Disappointed, you head back to town.

the stream bubbles cheerfully. on the opposite bank, you see a vulpe, and it observes you quietly. but when you try to approach it, you move too quickly and it flees.
