What are Passion Feather Wolves?
PFWs are large wolf-like creatures with two long feather trails protruding from the tail base. Feathers are made of an icy, almost waxy substance, and are very cold and watery. When touched, it leaves behind a harmless water-like liquid, much like ice. Thick stripes mark feathers with a glow that represents the PFW's current mood. Because of this, PFWs can never lie about their feelings XD. When a PFW dies, it's feathers dissolve, or melt, away extremely quickly. Pups are born with feathers growing straight from the tail base, and the trails will lengthen with age. The PFW has many unique traits:

Long leopard-like tail
Feather trails
Can tell mood by feathers
Can have hair
Mane
Can have extremely fluffy tails
Both natural and unnatural designs/colors
Bright, oddly colored eyes
Can communicate telepathically

How to tell mood by feather trails:
Angry: Glowing red, held upright and shaking like a rattlesnake's rattle
Annoyed: Glowing green, held upright and shaking like a rattlesnake's rattle
Sad: Drooping and faintly glowing blue
Happy: Waving and glowing yellow or white
Exited or scared: Erect and bobbing, glowing orange
Love: Glowing pale pink if low, hot pink if extreme, and waving slowly
Neutral: Relaxed and glowing purple
Other: See Odwrotny Feather

Feather Mutations
Odwrotny Feather (OF): Odwrotny Feather means that the effected PFW's feathers display the opposite of their mood, while the trails themselves show the true mood. For example, the feathers lie in a relaxed position, indicating a neutral emotion, while the feathers themselves glow orange, showing excitement or fear. OF is an uncommon condition, as only about 1 out of 35 PFWs have it.
Multiple Feathers: Some PFWs are born with extra feathers. This condition is very rare, because only about 1 in 45 PFWs have more than 1 pair of feathers.
Malec Syndrome (MS): A PFW with MS has feathers that are smaller than the average size. Roughly 1 of 20 PFWs have this.
Polyphemus Syndrome (PS): A PS effected PFW's feathers are larger than average. About 1 in 19 PFWs have this.
Odd Feather Shaping: Some PFWs have feathers in strange shapes, for instance circular, triangular, spade-like, or leaf-like, as opposed to the traditional feather shaping.

How can I adopt a PFW?
The designer may have you draw a picture, write a story, come up with names, likes/dislikes, personality, etc. or bid with pets/items. If at first you dont succeed, try, try again! If you do not win the contest, try out for a different PFW.

Rules of Adoption:
DON'T:
whine/beg
bribe
steal designs
re-adopt out (return it to the designer if you no longer want it.)
Adopt more than 4 (may be subject to change)
make 5 minute entries

DO:
try your best
be kind to the designers/artists/mods
more than requested (go above and beyond in your entries to boost chances)

How can I become an artist/guest artist/mod?
Simply fill out this form and I will take it into consideration:

Code: Select all
Wanted Position:
How active are you on CS rated 1-10?
(For Artists and GAs) What experience do you have in designing?
Have you worked with other adoptables before?

I am currently looking for Artists and GAs here only.

Artists:
This position is only for active/semi active users with experience/skill in designing.

Guest artists:
This position is for little-no CS activity users. This may be better for you if you are a busy person. Guest Artists are limited to making a maximum of 6 designs, however, i may promote you to Artist if I believe that you fit the position better.

Mods:
This position is for very active users. Your job would be to keep a watchful eye out for theft, rule breaking, and species copying, etc. I have already seen some species copies myself.

Artists/Gust Artist/Moderator Rules:
steal each other's designs
have unfair contest rules
make false accusations
make more than 6 designs if you are a guest artist

DO:
be creative (with both designs and contests!)
have fair contests
answer users' questions kindly
put effort into the designs
be reasonable with starting bids.
make line edits!(be sure to ask before doing anything too extreme)
Pay close attention to the Extra/News section

Here are some contest ideas: names, coloring, lines, photos that the PFW reminds you of, stories, poems, personality, favorite animal, backstories, etc.

PFW Breeding and Rules
Females can breed at the age of 2 1/2 years, the equivalent being about 15, and males at roughly the same. PFW's can only mate with those of their kind (no hybrids) and opposite gender (no same-gender pairings). Pups are born in litters of one to six. A female PFW can have up to seven litters (may change), and ONLY females can have pups. PFW's can mate for life, or have multiple mates, like most wild creatures. If you would like to breed your PFW, just leave a post here and I will add you to the list. On the list you will find all the breed-able PFW's, and something can be worked out for a litter. You can breed your own PFW's if you have more than one. The same rule remains about not designing your own PFW's when it comes to breeding. I will ask an Artist to design the pups for you, divide them up evenly (such as "you can can pick up to three, you can pick up to three", and you and your partner will have first pick of the pups. On the chance that a disagreement were to happen, the Artist can come to me and I will sort it out. If any pups are left after this, the Artist will adopt them out. Do not breed your PFW until your name has been added to the list and a partner is found for you. To breed your PFW, fill out this form.
