Hello!

I have attempted to win Mutatos in the past, and have failed every single time. This may be because I am filling out the forms incorrectly.

I do not spruce up my forms with GIFs, images, or other things, because I was not aware it was allowed. Is this allowed, or is it not? In other words, can I spruce up my form for the Mutato of my choice as I much or as little as I'd like?

PS: When the forms say "one extra," does that mean one extra thing, as in only one additional GIF or picture allowed, or does this refer to one extra piece of information, like the Mutato's favorite color or song?

Of coarse you can!
One extra refers to:
-one piece of art
-one story
-one poem
-one song

I understand you! I've tried for many in the past but failed. You are allowed to spruce up your form unless stated otherwise by the maker. You can decorate it as much or as little as you like!^^
One extra means a story, art, ect.

Hello there, booklover! Ninja'd by Zelay, but im going to post this anyway xD I apologize in advance, I tend to type quite a bit.

On subject, this may vary from artist to artist. For me and from what I have seen you are free to spruce up your form as much or as little as you would like. Unless otherwise specified the "one extra" means that your are free to add one extra piece of information (such as favorite color or song). This would also include art, stories, poems and the like that are produced or purchased in an attempt to win the Mutato. GIFs or images used to "pretty-up" your form and that were not specifically made for the purpose of winning the Mutato should be fair game for use unless the artist has specified that they are not allowed in forms.

Also, and again depending upon the artist, sprucing your form may help, hinder, or have no effect on your chances of winning. I, personally, tend to be a bit more interested in the information contained in the form, however I do take a look at the effort used in presentation and may occassionally use it as a sort of a tie-breaker if I have a hard time choosing between two or three entrants, so it wouldn't hurt. Other artists may specifically look for minimally "spruced" forms and choose them over prettied ones, or may prefer nice looking gifs, fonts, and decoration.

If the artist hasnt said anything on the matter, I would suggest looking through their gallery at previously adopted out Mutatoes and who won as it might help you get a feel for what they look for in a form. In the FAQ it says this-

Q: The "Select All" URL code on the Mutato Oekaki pages, can anyone use it without owning it?
A: No, this is only for the winner's use.

But I've seen plenty of forms that in which people have the animated mutato in them
