Equid Number:31
Owner: Kittehkat<3
Equid Name: Rue's Pita is her full name, (wanted to have her original name in it) but she goes by Rue.
Personality: Rue is different from most WME's, as she has a shy like attitude. Though, is is nice as can be to others. She isn't afraid to stick up for herself or any of her family though, and went she does her shy-ness is gone xD. When you get to know her, that's when the layers of meek and quiet are gone, and she becomes a friendly, loud Equid. She loves to play with any friends she makes, and has fun showing them new tricks and places she has found from exploring, which she absolutely loves to do. She normally trots and canters five miles a day around and around looking for something fun and cool to show all of her friends. Often times she has almost been captured by people when she wanders too far. Though with all this wandering you must think she wants to live somewhere else right? Nope!! She hates change, in fact she often will become overly stressed if something dramatic changes her part of the mountain that she lives on. Though with all these quirks, she really is a nice Equid.
Short story about her past: (its freezing where i am xD i got the idea from my story from that lol)
"Rue!" The young filly looked up at her mother, the young mare brushing her muzzle along her new foal "That will be your name". The filly soon realized her mother wasn't talking to anyone, and the den she laid in only had to occupants. The filly blinked, her long delicate ears folding down along her dome as she realized her mother was talking to her. Her mothers violet eyes glanced outside, as the filled looked at the ice that laced the ceiling of the cave. She breathed heavily, the dense oxygen hard to grasp out of the thick winter air mixed with the mountain air. She knew she had to get used to it, it was already instinct to pull her limps and her frail shivering body towards her mothers, their dazzled coats blending to one she pulled her head onto her mothers back. The dam moved to ruffle Rue's mane that stretched along her back. "Come on Rue, its time to go". Rue, hearing the words got to her hoofs for the first time, the ice making her slip and side along as she tried to follow her mother, who didn't wait for her filly as she crunched into the newly fallen snow that blanketed around her. She realized then why it was cold, the white powder was frozen! She blinked staring down at the snow, wondering in her mind why something this neat would have to be uncomfortable to play in. She sighed, trotting towards her mother as she thought, wondering about the snow. The filly squeaked as she fell down, feeling the snow coat around her. "Mom!" She yelped trying to get up "Its trying to eat me!". The dam turned, staring at her filly with a warm smiled before helping her out of the ice. "Its okay" She whispered in Rues long curved ear "It's just snow". Rue made then a sour face, "Where did it come from?" She hastily, pausing to pull some ice on her side. "From the sky" Her mom glanced back, blinking "It will disappear soon". Rues eyes got round "It will? But there's so much...Snow" She tried using the word her mother called it, then looking down. She inside couldn't wait to play again, but it was vital to keep up with her mother. Her head cocked, staring at animals that were out forging. A gray squirrel gathered small pinecones from under the protection of the trees that it was robbing. A fox pranced in the snow, occasionally diving its torso into the ground to try and grab a mouse. Rue blinked, seeing her mother stop "Hear is where we will be staying" Her mother shook out her mane before laying down. "Here is home"
Amazing nail art:

Dislike or like snow: Aubin Loves snow! He Loves to play in it although he blends in well and it may be hard to find him! He thinks its hilarious to ambush you, with his blend in color but he really might suprise you!
Is he ticklish: Aubin is ticklish. Hes especially ticklish Under his hooves, behind his ears, And on his nose. If you tickle him he shakes roughly, but if you keep tickling him he may get annoyed and try to nip you!

Imma die im so excited!!! XD

Equid Number: 28
Owner: XxCarpeNoctemxX
Equid Name: Chinook (Specimen 2.475 is what the scientists know him by)
Personality:
Chinook has always been and always will be a reserved stallion. Reserved, is an understatement. He doesn't talk at all. It's not that he doesn't want to talk; he can't talk. He's a mute, but that doesn't mean he doesn't communicate. He speaks in his own ways through body language. When he's upset his tail lashes from side to side and his ears pin back against his head. When he's confused he pulls his chin back against his neck and looks at you down the bridge of his nose. When he's feeling playful he prances around with his tail high in the air.

Chinook has a fascination with birds, but his obvious favorite is the bluejay. Maybe its just the way the color of the feathers compliments his eyes or its the way their chirping is a sweet symphony he'd listen to any day of the year, but he loves blue jays.

Chinook prefers to be alone rather than in a group. Maybe this is because he feels like other equids will patronize him because of his disability. Nonetheless he can be easier found in the woods hunting for feathers or muscadine berries than with another Equid.

Chinook dislikes water. He dislikes it to the point where if a bushel of Muscadine berries were on the other side of the river he'd walk along the river until he found the narrowest area no matter how long it takes him. He'd rather wait forever than get wet. With this hatred of water one can imagine that he never takes baths. That's not true. He takes dust baths and once in a blue moon he will wade into the calmest part of the stream.
Favorite treat: Chinook's favorite treat would have to be Muscadine berries. He relishes their sweet and tangy qualities. He will often spend his whole day searching for them. Due to their growth in the trees, he is fixed to stand on his back legs for minutes on end just to get a nibble.
Short story:
The southern Appalachian mountain sun hung high in the air. A thick cloud of humidity settled over the Georgia landscape. Mosquitoes droned through the air searching for their next meal. In the dense forest a lone stallion ran about kicking and bucking.

His hooves trampled and squashed any unfortunate plant life that happened to be in his way. His tail was held high in the air as he pranced; his plume wavering like a triumphant banner. His sapphire blue eyes sparkled in the light that broke through the canopy.

I watched the stallion, smiling softly to myself. He was happy, obviously. I watched as Specimen 2.475 stood under watch a tree staring up at its boughs. He lifted his hoof, flashing the yellow tracking anklet I had fashioned two weeks prior. The hoof landed back into the ground stirring up dust. I could only imagine what he was staring at so intently.

I made small notes on my notepad as I watched him. He was a beautiful creature. His legs were long and slender. His coat colors reminded me of the autumn trees that blessed us with a breath-taking sight year after year. His eyes were the bluest of blues; almost like the sky after a storm.

I looked back up at the creature before me. I watched him as he rose onto his hind legs. His forelegs pawed out at the empty air in front of him and his jaw opened and closed. What he was trying to get at was still a secret to me. "Specimen 2.475 rears up on his hind legs. He seems to be trying to get something from the tree." Looking up, the stallion had grasped the end of the branch between his teeth. The branch bent downwards as his hooves returned to the ground. My head tilted to the side slightly as he started to bob his head violently. Small, rounded, dark violet colored orbs started raining off the branch. They hit hit the ground daintily like raindrops falling on the asphalt.

Snap!

The branch exited the stallions mouth and clashed against its brothers. I watched as the Equid licked his lips and lowered his head to the ground. He munched on his tree with apparent relish.

I smiled. So, this was what they ate. My fellow scientists and I had been attempting to figure this out since the species appeared in the southern mountains. The equids were a fascinating species. I pulled my camera to my eyes and observed the stallion. My index finger pushed the trigger.

Click!

I studied the picture of the stallion as it appeared bit by bit starting at the hooves. In the photograph I could see his markings in greater detail. The more I looked the more Specimen 2.475 intrigued me.

By the time the image was fully loaded I knew that the Equid was gone. The way he stared right at the camera as it clicked said everything. His blue eyes held a knowing quality. It made me believe that he knew he was being watched the entire time.

I looked up at the scene where the great stallion once stood. He was gone. Probably heading back up into the mountains. There was still so much more were could learn about these wonders. Like, did they travel in herds like many other equine species? Did they migrate to escape the winter or were they sedentary? Did they have any natural predators? If so could they defend themselves. Specimen 2.475 was just the tip of the iceberg.

I stood and stepped out into the clearing carefully. I turned my head from left to right silently inquiring wether he was still around. He was nowhere to be found. I approached the tree where he had fed fearlessly. Squatting down to the ground I observed the scene. Sitting on the ground was one last piece of food. I picked up the berry rolling it between my fingers.

"Muscadine berry," I muttered aloud as I recorded my final findings.
