My Cage Number: 15
My Name: Bleue Lumière, It means blue light. But my friends call me Luma
I am a:
Mudi and a
Striped HyenaI act: foolish at times, I have no need for my life so I don't care if I walk into danger. I can protect myself so I refuse help from others. I do not fight for no reason, but if I get into fights I finish them. Though I do not care for my life the thought of hurting somebody through my carless actions is more painful then metal to the heart.
I like: Sleeping in my home with my mate. Fire and Water, both elements work well with me.
I hate: Wolves, they think they are better than me. Earth and wind elements, they think they know everything and act way to smart.
My story:
"Momma, when can we go home?" I asked slowly walking beside my mother, I was the runt of her litter, or so I thought. I didn't want to run ahead like the others to explore. "When we finish." She said to me, her grey coat and big brown eyes captured my sight as I walked, I couldn't look away as she moved so fluently. A sharp rock under my paw quickly set my thinking back to the path ahead. I couldn't help but look at the other pups, all my siblings were grey and were larger than me. With long shaggy coats and brown eyes. How come I have black fur? Why am I smaller? I ask those questions to many times. It was time for a new question, "Momma.."
"Yes, Luma?" She asked looking into my eyes, she looked worried as I had a serious tone. "Why do you love me?" Momma stopped in her tracks, frozen by the words. It was as if someone had un-dug a secret. But I still had no clue and her answer didn't help. "I love you because you are my daughter. " She finally said picking me up by the scruff. It was her way of saying
end of discussion. We traveled for a few hours, as I swayed it Momma's jaws with each powerful step I had time to think. I didn't care that I was different, it never bothered me and I was never teased but the fact remains that I am different. I am nothing like the rest of my pack, my ears stand straight up and my coat is small, I barley made it through the winter. My hind quarters are lower to the ground and my howl always made others stop. My thoughts were rolling over themselves, tuning everything else out as I closed my eyes and tried to figure out the puzzle. What I didn't know was today was the day I would loose everything and not even be able to take a second glance.
Having my eyes closed and the soft swaying led me to fall asleep and I never noticed when Momma set me down and somebody else picked me up. When I awoke I was trapped in some cage, I had a soft pnk bed under me and a bowl of water in the corner of this black box. I let out a loud howl then waited for my Momma's reply but it never came. Instead a beast with hair only on their heads came and cooed at me. I went to the back of the cold box and tried to curl up and hide, but a voice brought me out of hiding. "Bleue" A dog said, it had ears like mine, a tail like mine but its coat was curly. "Momma?" I asked as I looked at the large female dog over. I knew it was not Momma but her voice was always in my dreams and I could only feel like I knew her. "Yes?" She replied shockingly. “No, Where is my real Momma!” I barked feeling angry. This wasn’t my Momma and her posing to be one was not alright with me. “But I am your Momma!” She said her bark sounding just like mine as she crept to where I Was in the cage. Her face was more surprised than mine with my outburst. The odd creature let me out of the cage and pushed me towards my mother who was smelling me and licking me. My ears were pinned and my tail was straight out as she licked me, it was just like Momma used to but this wasn’t her. I don’t know what I was waiting for but I couldn’t take it, I lashed out biting down on her tongue and letting the blood flow between my teeth. She yelped in surprise but didn’t move till I let go. Yet she persisted, she continued to lick blood off me and clean Momma’s scent right off. I sat there and took it, waiting for it to end. When she had finished she walked into my cage and dragged me with her and laid down. This by no means made me feels comfortable being held hostage by a dog who pretended to be my mother. I thought all night about how to escape, I watched dawn approach through a window and I watched night chase after. I never left the cage, not even to eat. I never passed a meal down when it was in the cage though. By the time I was full grown I had started planning escape routes. I never made it but I never stopped trying. I finally learned the imposters name as well, Megu. She never told me but I learned from what the humans called her, I never called her Momma. For she isn’t the one who raised me as a pup. I still hate her guts for taking me away from Momma. But back to the story, One day when I was trying to escape the two leggeds got lazy and left the door open. I never had a second thought, I just ran out as fast as I could with Megu pleading behind me to stop. She was frail with age so her joints were stiff and she couldn't keep up. Leaving the imposter behind I first went looking to clean the scent off of me, I stunk like Megu and her pets. Lucky for me it started to rain and I started to have some fun splashing in puddles. But when a giant mechanical beast came near I always hid, I watched them long enough to know that they kidnapped dogs. But a wolf like me was to smart for them. As I jumped into a rather deep puddle my black fur started to change, a blue aura surrounded me in shade of Aqua. And markings ran up my legs, onto my back to the tip of my tail. I was shocked at the change but it didn't faze me, I played for the whole day running closer to the forest I came from. I was almost there! My tongue flew out of my jaws as I started running my aura getting brighter at the thought of seeing Momma again. I never noticed that I had already crossed a rather large plain and a small dike. I only stopped when I saw a young colt laying on the ground in a bloody mess. I never knew who he was only that leaving him there was a bad idea. So I walked over to him slowly and licked his leg cautiously. He grumbled something at me but his language was foreign. As he closed his eyes I could tell he was weak and if he stayed here he would surely die. I growled trying to get his attention and bite down onto his mane pulling on it. This made him get up, he was still twice my size making me feel like I had some growing to do. I thought I had finished... Anyways, I held on tight as he stood up sitting on his back and panting. With a quick step I was up the colts neck and barley fit on his head. He mumbled something and I guessed. He started walking the direction I pointed with my paw so it worked, but the dirty colt flung his head back throwing me onto his back. Man did that hurt. We walked for a long time before I heard growling. “Momma!” I knew the growl very well. I jumped on the colts head and barked, “Momma Momma!”
“Luma?” She asked surprised sniffing me before howling with joy and licking me. I loved when Momma licked me so I let her. I told her how I saved the horse and in return it gave me a ride here. So as a token of her appreciation she slipped her chieftains necklace off her neck and over his. It matched his pelt well enough so I guess he admired it. She also put some feathers behind his ear, he nuzzled her then started to walk off. “Momma you’ll never guess what I’ve been through!” I said rolling onto my belly and batting at her long fur. “Go follow him.” She said sternly. “But Momma!” I yelped standing up and protesting. “I tried forever to get to you! I promise I don’t blame you for leaving me there!” I barked chasing after her as she walked away. “Your kind is not welcome here.” She growled baring her teeth and leaving. I stood in the shadows of the trees and felt tears come to my eyes. Momma always told me I was family, Momma always said that she loved me! So why is she leaving me now? I shook the tears off and chased after the colt not wanting to see her face again. I grabbed his tail and pulled on it telling the stupid colt I was there. He turned and smiled at me and I felt my heart start to pound against my chest. I barked and wagged my tail following after him grateful that he let me. As I was in my state of happiness I managed to trip on a rock, but before I hit the ground he grabbed me by the scruff and set me on his back swiftly.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
We spent our lives together, we mostly lived in a cave that had a small pool in it. While he liked to stay dry I loved to sleep in the water so my aura shined out showing him how pretty I was. I learned his language swiftly but he was slow to learn mine. But as we were exploring new lands I smelt new horses and I didn’t want them to take Kahi away from me. I growled and pinned my ears hoping he would get the hint but sadly like most men no matter the species he didn’t get it. Though he asked me what the matter was I bluffed and said something big and scary was out there. Honestly I was hoping he was a coward at this point but apparently he wasn’t. My luck was not good that day. I tried to act scared but as he nuzzled me I had to go along, his charming smile was like a slap in the face but I still loved it. I jumped on his back and put my paws on the side of his neck and laid down burying my nose into his mane and closed my eyes, his scent was the best thing in the world. As we walked towards the herd of horses I looked at all the amazing colors they sported on their shining coats. One with sparks flying off of it came up to meet us. But as they talked I found another scent in the air. I tried to get Kahi’s attention but it was to late. A quite large wolf pack was behind us. But the only thing I was scared of was that these were no ordinary wolves these were my siblings. They all recognized me but one of them didn’t seem to care and kept shouting orders at them to kill us all. I barked at them but it was as if my calls were foreign, damn I must have learned to much of the horses language. But I soon saw that their minds were hazy because they were all sick. But before I knew it Kahi was running full speed behind the rest of the horses catching me off guard. I lost much of my grip as he jumped over things and soon enough I was pretty much falling off. He yelled at me to hold on but I just couldn’t. I could feel him slow down but if he did we were both dead. “No! Keep going! We are both dead if you slow down!” I shouted quite angry he would do that, yet I was touched that he loved me so much. As I put every ounce of my strength to holding on I knew I was about to fall. “I love you, now go!” I barked finally losing my grip. I rolled on the ground slowly coming to a stop in a dusty patch and watched all the horses jump over me. One just barely got me in the head and it hurt like someone had thrown a stone at me. Not soon after as I watched Kahi to weak to get up I felt something tugging at my fur. They started to rip it off my skin, but the pain didn’t hurt as much as it did to see Kahi running away without me. When Kahi was out of sight my fur and skin was tainted with my own blood and I was awaiting death. But Momma came out of nowhere and grabbed me. Her stature much larger than theirs and mine. She hauled me away from them leaving them confused as to what happened. “Momma! You came back!” I shouted happily even though I was in pain. Sadly she said nothing to me till we got to my old den. She set me in the water and laid down panting heavily as she looked me over sadly. I watched my blood drip into the water for a small bit before my wounds started to clean themselves, my aura was very weak almost gone and my markings were red with blood. At this point the pain of regeneration was too much and I passed out. According to Momma I was asleep for days and when I woke up she still wouldn’t talk to me. I tried desperately to get her attention but she wouldn’t’ have it. So finally I shut down. I didn’t care what happened to me nor how much pain it caused. My only joy was seeing her smile when we came home with food. Lucky for me is the traumatic experience from weeks before never hurt badly enough that my pups were hurt. Almost a full year later my pups were born and that’s when my mother started talking to me again. My pups had tails like their father and ears like me. They looked a little odd but I loved them so much. Now all I have to do is find my mate and we can live happily. But this won’t be easily done...
Did I make it? I just started this form last night so its rushed ;..;. But I love her design so much!
