I have a question about the kid color-in item. Can you only use it for new kid lines, and only kid lines, or can it be used for teenager, old kid, or old baby lines? I'm guessing its just for new kid lines but I wanted to double check before I make my final purchase choices.

Nothing, I'm afraid. Those coins will essentially be deleted once you've made your purchases and the event ends. >.<
