Shadow gulped and wondered what Snowflake now thought. It was just breeding for further survival of the herd..it meant nothing outside of that...maybe it was just Snowflake's way of saying that he would have to work to father her foal.

Shadow paid close attention to each mare, assusring they did not wander off. He also kept an eye on the nearby forest, for he knew a predator may appear at any moment.
