Background:When little Ty was just a little pupster, he had already started to develop his playful and energetic personality. He's been bolting around since he was first born. He was born feral, meaning he was born in the wild, not inside someone's house. One of his favorite activities was rolling in warm, soft mud puddles. <3 He did it for hours, rolling in that rich, brown mud. He loved his mother and father, though if little Ty Ty stayed in the mud to long, or perhaps fell asleep in the mud, his parents would scoop him back up and lick him clean. They would then set him with his brothers and sisters to sleep. No one really knows what happened to his younger siblings. Many agree that they went off on their own as did Tyson, but that's aside the point. He loved his mother and father, as well as his siblings, and was devastated to see them go off on their own. Once it was his turn to leave, he took off that night. Before he left to journey to distant lands, some without the soft, rich mud he grew up having, he felt the mud once more, gently slapping his front paws in it. A single tear dripped down his cheek as he stared at that old wet mud puddle he enjoyed rolling in so much. He looked at it with a feint smile. "I'll miss you, sweet, sweet mud puddle", he softly whispered as he turned to the mud puddle. He then looked back to see his mother, father, and his little brothers and sisters all nestled up to each other. Another tear dripped smoothly down his cheek. "I'll miss you to, Mom, dad, siblings", he whispered, now turning back to the way out of their little burrow. "I'm leaving. This is it" He said, this time in a slightly louder tone as he shook in fear and excitement. Then, he was gone. Running down the wet, muddy paths.
And just as the dew melted early in the morning, he decided it was time for a break. He had no idea where he had run off to. He looked around and saw large cow pastures, and chicken coops. "What is this death trap I'm about to fall in to? There are cows, and chickens, and what's more, hogs!" He thought to himself. "But I must go on. There's no time for rest.", He thought with confidence . As he entered through the barn gate, making an amazing leap over it, he was greeted by several geese, and three little ducklings. "Hello!" They chanted. "Who are you...?" Tyson said staring at the animals surrounding him. He had no idea what these strange animals were. "We're the farm geese. And who might you be?" Said the large, white, majestic goose standing before him. "My names Tyson, but you can call me Ty", He muttered in fear. "Well, welcome to the farm, Ty!" Yelled the small brown duck. Then, all of the ducks spread to the sides of the fence, leaving a clear path in to the the farm. "Do you guys live on your own, or are you owned by someone?" Ty asked. "Naw, we're owned. But Boss doesn't like dogs, so you won't be able to stay out in the open where he might see you" Said the small mallard that was swimming in the pond. "Come down here where he won't be able to see you", Said the white goose, as he waddled down a large crack in the barn. Once in there, a large, old, brown duck walked out of the pond. "You cannot stay here", He bellowed. No matter where you hide, he
will find you. The same majestic, white duck stood before him again. "I'm afraid it's true", she sighed. "Can I at least stay the night?" Asked Ty. "Sure!" Honked a few of the large geese. "Yesss, I guess I should go ahead and sleep then", said Ty. He then fell right to sleep. Early in the morning, he was awoken by the same large white goose he had talked to just the day before. "You have to leave! Right now!" They all screeched. "Whoah, why?" Ty stuttered in confusion. "The farmer will see you! He's coming to clean out the chicken coops. He'll see you on his way out! You gotta go", They yelled. "Okay, then do you mind helping me over that fence over there?" "'Course!" They shouted. Then, Tyson leapt over the fence. He was then on his way, once again. He arrived at a small hut in the thick woods. Inside, he saw a small girl and her mother, both crying. The girl inside had lost her house and most of her belongings to a raging forest fire. All that she had left was a small bear plush. She wiped the tears from her eyes. Just then, she heard the door open slightly. She looked and saw a small muzzle peeking out. She quickly grabbed her mother's hiking stick, thinking it was a wolf or a coyote that might raid them of their food, she slowly crept towards the door. Once she had opened it, she realized what she saw was no wolf or coyote, it was a large dog. She dropped down and hugged the dog around the neck. "Mom, mom! It's a dog! Can we keep him?" "I suppose", Giggled the mother. She picked the dog up and hugged it.
"Is this what family feels like? Is this what it feels like to truly be home?"...Picture you drew: Will draw one. ^^
