..I...finally...did...it... OuO
May I introduce you? This is my fursona, Sila, who's been by my side for over 1,5 years now. I've been wanting to introduce her to CS for so long, but I've never been satisfied enough with my drawings of her to actually take the step and post it, well, until now. ^_^
She's a white (well, veeeeeeeery very very light cream) Saluki girl. Yep, there's no fancy markings on her or anything unusual/unnatural except for her blue eyes (Salukis usually only have brown/hazel eyes).
As for the term "fursona", I am using it since I'm lacking a better term to describe what she really is. Fursona seems very close, but to me she feels like...well, more than that. She's not just a random animal I thought of to express my online-self, but it seems like there's a deeper connection. Something like a soulmate? Spirit animal? Who knows...
Whatever she is, she came to me. I didn't "make" her, I just randomly had the idea of a Saluki in my head (fursona-wise, back then), never thought it would fit, looked it up and was amazed, tried to make a design but in my head she always was white, so here we go. Some people say that a person cannot choose a Saluki, but that a Saluki chooses a person...I'm convinced. :3
Of course she does resemble me, but it goes beyond that, she does not just represent the character traits and personality that I expressively have, but also the potentials that lie within me, that I could work on and turn them into real traits. Example? Salukis are known for holding man's gaze for quite a while, unlike most other dog breeds. I, in reality, do not like looking people in the eyes, I'm not even 100% sure why, I just feel awkward. I guess it's just because I can be somewhat shy and aloof (typical for Salukis
). Sila reminds me that deep inside me, I do have the potential to hold people's gaze, I have actually been working on it already and improving, and she motivates me.
Well, I guess regardless of how many things I want to say about her, I should probably stop talking you guys to death. ;D

No references used, but been stalking Saluki pics on google a lot (already before I drew this).
Timer is off, I had the tab open without working on it a lot of times.
Please do not copy/steal Sila or the picture in any way. Thanks!
